This is the most unrealistic thing I've seen in my life.
Kieran's models are so aspirational but also make me realise that I can't really ever hobby that hard so it's nice to have Kieran's much more manageable: "didn't manage that, didn't manage that or that" hobby checklist 😅

1st of all awesome tau army. 2nd love, you're channel great chemistry from you both on screen. I'd like to do a tau army, but even though I do own an airbrush, I'm a bit nervous using it. Always seem to have problems with it clogging up & making a mess. I prefer the old school paintbrush but not sure tau could be done without it.
@@the_kieran_show I still run the index for 160 pts and I heard it will stay the same for the codex too when the updated points come available. I run 3 riptides, 2 ghostkeels, 3 breacher + Devilfishand hammerheads. I have a blast with the list.
@@the_kieran_show Tried for my own take on Sa'cea Sept (blue with orange and gray highlights), but went much darker than the normal scheme. I was shooting for "night fight in a cyberpunk city".
IF you plan to paint a tyranid or two anytime soon may i SUGGEST to make them hyena theamed? Make both spotted hyenas striped hyenas and any other hayena pattern you can find- their lore can be that their fleet has eaten a world that had hyena like creatures
it amazes me how many people hate on Kroot. I really like the range and to play them, even though they are not strong atm. Also looking forward to the new Vespids. T'au are in a great spot right now with the range imo.

So I LOVE the blue people, grew up in the 90's love Gundam aesthetic (sorry Kieran never liked evangelion) and am working on my first 2 armies side by side at the moment so i can play with my brother. building out the Tau and World eaters and i gotta say i am WAY more willing to paint chaos trim and screw up my second favorite army then i am to butcher a tau battlesuit. Wondering what your guys first armies were/looked like and if the "proud wargammer papa" vibes still hold up for your first works compared to where your at now in the hobby. i've honestly told a few of my gamer bros (who i know will end up with a few armies) to buy into their second favorite armies first and save their actual favorite for when they are more comfortable with the process since personally im just scared im not going to like the look of my fish bouys in a year.
See we're total opposites, big K has absolutely no attachment to old armies and moves on casting them to the wind, where as glasses K has a real attachment to projects, certainly a proud papa!

The trick is to break everything and build it using super glue, green stuff and stubbornness.

The riptide is awesome competitively. Ignores any modifiers and can fall back and shoot.
How many would you run realistically? 250 points seems crazy high considering it's output don't you think?
