What a fantastic first episode! Any other fight scenes you want me to fire up the new TraumaCam on? P.S. I’m warming up for a Rapid Fight Scene Trauma Diagnosis of the Kingsman Church Scene next week!
Spoiler Alert, but if you are watching this video, you likely have seen this scene. This didn't quite register to me when I first saw this scene, but after talking about it with a friend, I realized that this scene is more brutal than on the surface even. The slow motion implies that Omni Man crushed Red Rush's head quickly. While it may be fast for Omni Man and the other Guardians, this could have been absolute torture for Red Rush. Just before they started getting called to the HQ, Red Rush said to his partner that small interactions for others last forever for him because of his abilities as a speedster. He described it as agony.. This implies that Red Rush experienced what would usually be a nearly instantaneous death for normal people in what seems like hours to him. The level of detail in this story astounds me.
This remind me of a matchup in Bleach, where one character gets infected with a poison that makes milliseconds seem like centuries. He claims he's nigh unkillable, but by the time he gets hit, thousands of years have passed to him and he's just thankful to be able to die.
Same thing in the X-Men comics with Quicksilver explaining he has severe anger issues because his brain operates as extremely fast as his body, so even the speediest interactions feels like spending hours standing in line at the DMV.
I’ve watched a couple other reviews of this scene and was surprised that nobody else has noticed this! They show a bit of slow motion, but you already know that RR is likely still experiencing every second 5-10x longer than that! I think the slow parts are showing us that’s how OmniMan can experience time, but that scene is still completely messed up
They actually say, in one episode, that Red Rush's punches also gave Omniman friction burns. Which is what the damage on the skin on his chest was. I originally thought it was bruising.
"All the dinosaurs fear the t rex" I didn't notice the first time but Red Rush went full Deadpool with the punches. Busted wrists and still kept punching but I suppose when your goal is to survive evil superman crushing your head in busted wrists are the least of your concerns
@@tycol322 instead of punches, he should've kicked omniman's nuts a couple hundred times, can you imagine, maybe he would've crush his head faster due to the pain lol, but omniman would not be in one piece, the rest of the guardians might even have a chance
@@caiocesar7578 right? And why tf was martian man moving around, should have kept his heart behind nolan's back, had he done that he wouldn't have escaped, and then war woman and the immortal should bash his balls, you saw the clock she gave him with dat mace, that thing to the balls would have killed him XD
@@alexkaplan6581 Actually over two minutes one-on-one after Immortal's resurrection. Immortal did better against Omni-Man than anyone except that kaiju. Of course Immortal was in full-on berserker rage at the time, which probably pushed him above his normal limits.
@@danieldickson8591 It took Omni-man two hits to kill him after his resurrection. He only lasted that long since he was distracted by trying to get back to the kaiju scared for Mark's safety.
Out of all the brutality in this scene that one that affects me the most is the eye balls flying off as someone who had a pretty extensive eye surgery that didn't exactly go well.
I did not go blind but my right eye was left with a very poor sight and both of my eyes are very sensitive to light to the point I can't walk outside without sunglasses. Seeing Red Rush's eyeballs fall off his face trigger some pretty nasty memories involving my therapy before and after the eye surgery.
Also remember him saying that every conversation for him is basically slow motion and ridicolously tedious due to his perception of time being vastly different thanks to his super-speed being "normal" for him? He is experienceing this whole trauma in slow motion. Dying to him happens 100x slower than anyone else all while being forced to think about why this is happening. Why someone he'd have called a colleague, friend even earlier that very day is doing this to him without stopping or even showing the slightest hint of outside intervention/mind control. Really puts that scene into perspective.
Yeah it's usually Speed Force cancelling out the physics if DC or some form of tactile telekinesis that cancels out the physics and forcefields any debris in other universes. Tacticle telekinesis is actually a really common unlisted power, especially for super strength to explain why things they lift don't lose their structural integrity
Superspeed without g-cancellation would make them the worst serial manslaughterers in history! Mind you, real super speed would be quickly fatal - imagine running into a monarch butterfly at mach 10 (3475 J, around the same as a NATO 7.62mm round)
In the last book of the hyperion series, there's a fight between speedsters (effectively) the chain of continuous sonic booms absolutely wrecks everything around them. Debris and gravel suddenly accelerated to mach 3 turns everything into rail gun ammo. Definitely need something to cancel said effects or heroes would become instant mass murderers in a populated area.
I'd say darkwing is definitely still batman, just without plot armour. Heck, that bit when he dropped down almost onto omniman? Pretty sure he's done exactly that before, to do stuff like plant C4 on darkseid level enemies.
@@FFKonoko I'm not saying Batman doesn't have plot armor, but the cases I'm thinking of where Batman drops down on guys like that, the enemy is actually distracted/stunned. All Omni did was dodge and was actively looking for Darkwing. Omni was on high alert.
Well to be fair They are supers and they all probably have some pretty hard tissue or in other words...Good durability. Saving them at that speed seems possible
Well to be fair, In the comics, the fight went much more on Omni-Mans favour. The only person to last more than 2 seconds in the entire 4 seconds that Omni-Man was fighting said guardians was The Immortal, only to tell Omni-Man that he never liked him in the first place. Omni-Man had never taken a hit in the entire fight. And nobody on the planet had a single inkling that Omni-Man was behind it until he revealed the truth to mark on his own. Aaaaand then we know how that went down 😂.
He didn't even touch on the external damage a normal person would suffer due to friction with the air. That alone would leave a person as no more than a red mist, not including force of impact from being saved. Basically, unless you are the speedster (Red Rush / Flash) those speeds are instant death. You'll pop when they touch you, air resistance will atomize you, and friction will incinerate you. You'll be dead 1000 different ways before the heroes foot lands again

flash has speed force and superman has telekinetic barrier both of these tings coat what they're moving to prevent them getting ripped appart. Non dc speedsters tho yeah, would fuck their rescue victims up.
I think it was an episode of Cyborg 009, but the titular cyborg has his acceleration ability amped up so much, he basically spends several months in the frame of a second and has difficulty managing to interact with the world. 1:20 I actually love how the flash deals with this issue. Speed Force users can kind of "ignore" the laws of physics around them while using their abilities, I think it's called a Speed Force Aura, and it lets them go that fast without dealing with G Force or friction
This one is so much better, I saw another doctor analysis, and for every single one he just said “Yeah that’s a severe concussion” for almost every single one. You did a so much better explanation
This show has a lot of things you could cover, and not just the fights. Curious to see your thoughts on Reanimen, some of the stuff the Mauler Twins get up too
I didn't know what to think when I first saw it advertised on Amazon Prime but when I saw the 15 rating I Googled why and found one that said it contained extreme violence and gore like never shown before in western animation for the final scene. Would have LOVED to have been surprised by the brutality of this scene.
@@efxnews4776 It’s typically tied to the speed force, but it is essentially entirely BS based on the fact people kept pointing out that Barry would be killing people. It also lets him draft larger things behind him if he wants, so he could speed up an ambulance or something by running in front of it. I’m assuming Red Rush probably has similar enough abilities that people don’t just die from him interacting with them.
Weird that you missed the part where Omni Man didn´t just "tank" the supersonic chest punches, but actually started to bleed from the nose and mouth due to the. Could the high frequency vibrations transferred by those attacks cause micro cartilage ruptures resulting in this bleeding from Omni Mans nose and mouth?
This sounds like a really weird request, but try the fight scene from the first Shrek movie where he fights a bunch of knights. People get crushed by massive barrels of beer or kicked straight in the head by a donkey. Plenty of serious injuries if you applied realism to it especially if you consider the fact that shrek would have to be 5-600 lbs for a person of his size and muscle mass and he full on body slams people.
@@DrHopeSickNotes my provider uses the same or very similar program sometimes to show me what's being affected with my condition, so it was fun to see here
Re: Aquarian's injuries. Setting aside the whole issue of decapitation...Considering the hybrid Human/fish anatomy, everything about injuries to the face and skull would apply. The unique injury would be the massive damage to the operculum; what look like cheek fins. This is a bone plate (or series of bones) that cover and protect the gills. The human equivalent would be a shattered sternum shredding the lungs. Since Aquarian looks to be amphibious, the main issue is going to be blood loss and damage to the circulatory system, rather than respiratory. In the water, it would be like having a punctured lung.

I have been watching the last Cell at Work video 6 times now waiting for this. You have been missed!
Red Rush: *Catastrophic Non-Survivable Cranial Trauma*
Mark: *Catastrophic Non-Recoverable Mental Trauma*
Omni-man has a talent in crushing people's heads both literally and mentally.
Did you watch the rest of the series? It was pretty good.
Not yet, but gonna binge it this week
@@94DeathAngel I did the exact same thing lol
4:00 Oh, a Ryan George reference.
Literally just watched the first episode and then your video was in my recommended... Perfect.
I love the section names for this video, they're hilarious
Good thing the speed force in DC prevents that g force scenario when being moved in those speeds
“SUPER EASY BARELY AN INCONVENIENCE” RYAN GEORGE!!!!!!!!!!
1:20 I actually love how the flash deals with this issue. Speed Force users can kind of "ignore" the laws of physics around them while using their abilities, I think it's called a Speed Force Aura, and it lets them go that fast without dealing with G Force or friction
man the visual really helps
Loves the music editing! Especially the mace swinging into the air with almost complete silence. Perfect.
Everyone: "What have you done?"
Omniman: "I went for the head."
This one is so much better, I saw another doctor analysis, and for every single one he just said “Yeah that’s a severe concussion” for almost every single one. You did a so much better explanation
I’m surprised he missed the blood Omni man coughed out at the beginning, red rush actually did the most damage by himself
4:02 "Super easy. Barely an inconvenience" Referencing my other favorite RUclipsr
"The Wish version of Batman"
So much for the Hippocratic Oath, eh. Your job is to heal people, not burn them to within an inch of their lives. XD
Man, I sure am glad you gave this breakdown about how the Guardians of the Globe should all come through this with a clean bill of health!
This is an amazing video idea, I'm sick of basic reviews for Invincible. This is super cool.
I gotta say I love how you don’t ever discount the work of fiction but instead actually give the real world possibilities. Stay awesome
Just when I was looking for something to watch, hell yes
Cheers L; glad to be of service
Loved the pause of the music as the mace went flying.
Love the Pitch Meeting reference there
Surprise Pitch Meeting References are TIGHT!
This show has a lot of things you could cover, and not just the fights. Curious to see your thoughts on Reanimen, some of the stuff the Mauler Twins get up too
4:01 Wow wow wow wow wow wow
4:02 randomly referencing Ryan George is tight!
I didn't know what to think when I first saw it advertised on Amazon Prime but when I saw the 15 rating I Googled why and found one that said it contained extreme violence and gore like never shown before in western animation for the final scene. Would have LOVED to have been surprised by the brutality of this scene.
15 rating? I thought the first episode was rated 18
@@FFKonoko I thought it had an 18 when I googled but closer look saw it was 15. I wouldn't have spoiled it for myself if I knew that.
Will be awesome to see the rest of the fights from invincible in particular the fight at the end of episode 5 and the finale would be good
Most speedsters have a passive ability preventing their speed from just wrenching the people around them.
Thats actually comic book bs...
But since physics don't apply to comic books... Ok then!
Can't wait till you cover the subway scene from later in the show!
Honestly he gives off the cool science teacher vibe and it makes these videos really fun
Super easy, barely an inconvenience
4:03 Ryan George would be proud of you
"i can say with absolute certainty that seven are dead"
only six die
7 are killed... but only 6 stay dead lol
@@criticalthinker3262 username checks out i guess
This sounds like a really weird request, but try the fight scene from the first Shrek movie where he fights a bunch of knights. People get crushed by massive barrels of beer or kicked straight in the head by a donkey. Plenty of serious injuries if you applied realism to it especially if you consider the fact that shrek would have to be 5-600 lbs for a person of his size and muscle mass and he full on body slams people.
"barely an inconvenience"... someone's been watching Pitch Meeting videos haha
4:05
Super easy barely an inconvenience
Is that a screen rant reference??
Invincible seems to be a good show
@@ancapftw9113 yes, that guy
Didn't really go into any detail about the Martian's death. Do I sense some medical bias against Martians?
Martian biology isn't a common field of study here on Earth.
I don't think we needed this confirmation that the wounds here would be fatal, but it's good we had a doctor make sure. Can never be too careful.
Blunt force trauma... to their lives
The chapter titles are on-point this episode! Amazing vid!
Even though there was no music during this scene just bodies being dropped...the music added made me Smile the entire time LOL 🤣
Nice homage to Pitch Meetings at 4.01. Love these videos.
"We wouldn't even try to resuscitate" he says about the one they manage to resuscitate...
I like the TraumaCam, Dr. Hope!
Thanks mate!
@@DrHopeSickNotes my provider uses the same or very similar program sometimes to show me what's being affected with my condition, so it was fun to see here
I’m not USUALLY a huge fan of especially violent shows, but this one was great. Excellent breakdown and kinda perfect for this analysis 😂
