Super pleased to present this to you as it was fan selected! Thank you to Dr Chris Raynor for being involved (his channel link is in the description). Without doubt the most challenging scene to break down so far; I had the clip on 0.25 speed and I still think I missed things! But I absolutely loved it as always. And finally please excuse the sound editing I tried my best, but the copyright claims prevented me from getting anyway near the original audio. Have a great week; I have a big exam next week so I'm off to hit the books, wish me luck! P.S. next fight scene is already recorded and it's a good'un
FYI the explosion is from the gold grenade that he out in the guys pocket just before he broke the guys anatomy by making his head meet his back. Also the last injury reminds me of Phineas Gage
As to the scene at 15:29, Harry says earlier that all Kingsman suits are bulletproof (if that helps). And as to fight scenes, how about the 1st bar fight scene?
Can you imagine being the first EMTs on the scene and having to triage? Throw your hands in the air "You all are gonna die, except those already dead".
You know, in hindsight it was probably a bad idea for someone who's squamish about blood and gore to watch a detailed play-by-play to what's essentially a cavalcade of Mortal Mombat fatalities.
In this particular scene, they are using very clever techniques to disguise cuts in the footage. At any point in the scene you see deep zoom ins to fill the whole shot, or if they ever pan past something, they are breaking up the scene into smaller more manageable chunks.
On the plus side, the doctor is probably going to have an easy time with how few survivors will make it to the hospital (if there even is one in that small town). On the downside, the priest is going to be working overtime for the next week.
I think the close analysis catches a movie stunt trick at 5:56 : the attack is meant to look like a hit to the back of the head (possible severe blunt force trauma to the brain stem), but the diagnosis was based on the hit to the upper shoulder which is meant to stop the blow just before it hits the head, therefore avoiding serious damage to the stuntman but still implying the more serious hit.

So the knife to the back would likely be even less of an issue for Galahad, as the suits the Kingsmen wear are all perfectly tailored.... and bulletproof. Somehow. Now, with that much of a thin fabric, they might not allow a puncture, but they will still allow for a FORCE, so that knife may have traumatically forced the fabric INTO a wound it created(think "Forcing a dull knife against a plastic sheet into butter"), but it wouldn't have gotten far.
