@@HORSTBRAUCHLER I love it. Lots of power, great handling, well it is a BMW!. Still learning the i8 infotainment software. There are really alot of choices although it is fairly straight forward. I have about 400 miles on it. I use the electric for short hauls and then hybrid for longer runs. Right now I am getting 99 miles per gallon. I have not had to add gas yet. I did install a level 2 charger in the garage. It takes about 3 hours to charge when I have zero charge left. Really enjoy this ride.
We should have one coming in that's unallocated for an actual drive drive... i can say that from what little time i had in it... it is AMAZING!!!! really gets up and moves, and yet is extremely efficient. Sportiest chassis, no, and you can feel the weight in the corners, but all in all amazing car that is the definition of Performance and Efficiency in one.
Question for you, very interested in getting a X5 xdrive50e X line version of the car, kind of worried about having such large rims even at 20 inches, am I able to fit 18 inch rims on the car? If so, what 18 inch BMW rims could I possibly fit, I much rather have a smaller rim and a bigger sidewall, then Baller rims with no sidewall. Love your videos, is your dealers selling at MSRP or are you offering any type of discount? Also, do you have any allocations open? Thanks for any assistance your able to send my way
the smallest you can go on a BMW X5 would be 19s, you might be able to fit 18s but i wouldn't trust the load rating on those since they'd likely come from a 3 series which is a much lighter car. with the 20s on you can put a larger side wall tire on, exactly how much more you'd be able to go i'm not sure of though. and we sell for MSRP, any available discounts we will happily give to any customer when they qualify! As for allocations, we have two unspoken for for people that backed out of a sale as of yesterday. if desired feel free to call in to a Client Advisor and ask about grabbing one!
How to Keep it interesting for the people watching? Forget beard shaving. New drinking game. Everytime JP says “all together” take a shot 🤣 🤣 🤣 Enjoying your videos man.
Rear seat leg room of BMW x5 50e is too tight, like those in a compact car. Compare Leg Room Front/Rear: BMW x5 xdrive50e: 39.4/37.4 vs. Honda Fit: 41.4/39.3😪
... my family of 5 fits in an X5 with no problem, can't say the same in a honda fit... legroom is not going to be a problem, hip room is the metric to look at... that's how your butt fits
I have one of these on order and enjoyed the details (e.g., direct and port injection) you mentioned in this video. Where can I find out more of the intimate details of the build, mechanics, specificatioons, etc.? Thanks.
Just make sure you have everything you ordered... sometimes they change things mid build because of supply constraints. Chances of that happening are low as they will tell you if they did change something, but in the off chance it did and they forgot just always double check everything!
Is the 530 miles range correct? I'm assuming that 22 mpg with gas only in the city would give 490 miles (18.2 x 22)+40, so that would put the mpg on highway at 27 mpg (40+491)? Or would the gas only mpg be boosted by recharged battery while driving?
It should be boosted a little bit... if you're looking at the window sticker that range that they post is assumed you start with a full charge and tank, then simply drive highway till it dies. obviously no one drives like this, but they need a standard measurement for this crap.
Can't wait for a test drive review...thinking about putting an order in...curious, if you had a choice between a 2024 x5 40i and the 50e, which would you go with??... considering now the tax credit is gone.
Actually, the tax credit is available but it’s about 4000 not 7500 because the car is built in the US but a lot of the battery materials are from outside the US
OH GOD, NIGHT AND DAY difference! this feels like a performance car not at all an efficient car, and yet it's numbers literally prove you can have both power and efficiency, sporty and economic in one package!
Honestly not sure, I know consumption will be higher, but the variable regenerate with the prestige gearing (if used for regen) might give you around 25 miles or so of ev only highway range
I installed a ChargePoint Home Flex EV charger in my garage. Installed on a 50 amp circuit, delivers 40 amps of charging power. However the BMW X5 50e will only allow you to charge at 32 amps. Takes about 3 and a half hours to charge from 0% to 100%.
That's my car!! I picked it up yesterday!
Congracts!!!!!
Nice car! What exterior color did you get? Is this carbon black?
@@f.p.100 Blue ridge mountain blue
Steve, interested what you think so far....thinking about putting an order in!!

Are you going to drive it anytime soon? Curious about the full ev performance

Hi. Thanks for the detailed review! What octane gas do you need to use in this? 87? 91?
91 recommended, 89 minimum. the car will change it's tuning to accommodate the lower octane, but always stay away from 87
What is the color outside/inside? How is the idrive8 climate system? Is it easy to use?
Outside looks to be Blue Ridge Mountain Metallic and the inside Sensafin in Coffee.

Right from me! What would you like to know?
Any tips or tricks to check for upon the delivery of the i4 e35?
I value your opinion a lot.
Thanks

Also... double check the tire pressures.
@@BMWofFW what should I do if I find missing things?
What other refinements to the engine (e.g., cooling systems, compression)?

unfortunately no driving impressions. i am curious especially regarding the acceleration in comparison to the 45e.

Any idea what kind of mileage I might expect in hybrid mode on the highway??

Finally!
I just ordered one - what size charger should I buy?
Level 2, the car will take 7.4kW, so any 240v 40amp setup will get the job done, increase to 50amps to be more future proof!
