No the camera does not do it justice how difficult they are. I will also say in person you get the true sound smell of fuel and burning tires. When I die and go to heaven I want one. I have been into rock crawling for some time and truly love it, but don't have this kind of cash. I do however have to still wonder why they try to climb this above 12lb psi per tire. I am not familiar with rules and regulations, but that's what we do for extra traction. ( only based on camera view but thinking 8psi for this one.)
9:18 My daughter leaving the school parking lot, "Dad, I was leaving school today and the exit was a mile long so I decided to drive over the curb, I didn't hit anyone but I think my alignment is off"
Lol my father woke me up one Saturday ( I was probably 17) and said "I need your help". Somehow my sister had gone over the curb, sideways, after spinning around, on a straight stretch of road, and popped both passenger side tires off the rims. Jesus Christ lol I asked "howdid this happen?".....dad wasn't exactly sure and we didn't speak any more of it....we just fixed it and got it home lolol

Blessings. I really enjoyed the show. Brave Men doing something different. The horse power is phenomenal and mad high energy. Love the show keep doing what you love to do. One love Afro G64. 😇 ⭐ ✨
I can appreciate how impressive the build are and I’m sure it’s exciting to hear in person, but seems pretty destructive to the landscape for little payoff
@@wadehurnandez6723 So because a force of nature causes destruction it's perfectly ok for people to mess up nature just so long as they are having fun doing it? Must be nice living with no sense of responsibility or accountability
I watch a variety of videos including backyard street brawls. Who would’ve thought the most violent video I’ve seen to date is a hill climbing video 😂😂
is there a regulation in this sport about tire pressure? I see them all with full inflated tires. As a rock Crawler I understand that lower psi equals more ft lb torque and horsepower per square inch, thus utilizing that mad hp I only dream of having. Great video and subscribed. Thank you for all your great videos.
I love events like these. But it completely amazes me the absolute stupidity of the spectators that find it cool to be located BEHIND these massively powerful machines while shredding chunks of rocks and ejecting deadly projectiles towards bare skin and exposed eyes. SHM...can't fix stupid, but you can eliminate it slowly!
As a novice looking at this I am seeing the rear tire not be able to overcome a tire shaped lip that has a very undercut top lip. I know these guys air down their tires to the optimum performance pressures, and I know going too low risks losing a bead. But if I were competing on this hazard I would air down my rear tires to almost dangerous levels. The geometry of an almost flat tire can defeat that undercut lip the lower tire gets stuck on. Then it is a matter of skill and mementum and traction, but that lip ceases to be as much of an issue because it will become smaller than the deformation of the rear tire. I wish I had the money and time and was in this sport to try this strategy. I really think it might work. Of course I don't know if there are any regulations about tire pressure, and of course you risk slipping a tire or damaging a wheel doing that. But hey, necessity is the mother of invention. Databyter
Looking at that left hand wall ride, come up on the right early with some speed, then bank left hit the left wall as fast as possible and try to carry it all the way up. Would be pretty scary for the spectators but from what i've seen in rock racing and rock bouncing the spectators are in a much more dangerous place than the drivers. Some of the rocks these things spit out the back! There must have been some marshals some camera men and some spectators coming away with some potentially lethal injuries !
I made that in a stock 4 cylinder 1980 CJ-7 with stock tires last year no problem. 4 drunk guys 300 plus pounds in it gave plenty of weight and traction. Wives thought we were hunting. Good ole days.
These videos are addictive.
I seriously sit and watch them for hours
For real though
1:45 you're welcome
The rest are just spinning tires and rolling their rigs
Tear it up, literally.

That was so sick though!!!
I need to go see one of these races in person. I’d imagine the filming doesn’t do justice to the difficulty of these hills.
camera does it zero justice
MadRam11 maybe next year I’ll get to bikini bottoms for the season ender.
Mad R does a pretty good job of bringing the action to the screen .
Yea I was thinking if you tried to walk up some of these places it would seem unreal.

I feel like this isn't a poor man's sport lol
Indeed it isn't lol
I believe you have to have money to burn. Some of these guys don't seem happy unless they've damaged their vehicle.
Definitely not a poor man's sport
Legend has it that bowl is still smoking!!! Keep Rocking it out!!!
Watched this live at. Blue Holler Offroad Park in Mammoth Cave KY. BADASS SHOW!
Man it must have been loud.. Cool stuff , they got tired of the launch into the cliff face early into the video. Monster machines

Love to see some Rock Crawlers have a crack at that waterfall.
That guy who face planted into the rock face, had to hurt.
Hans device for the win
I bet he was unconcious after that impact

That was a super sick climb for sure, a real soul collector right there. Only two lines an its gotta be perfect. That was dope
Evidently having the money to buy a big badass climbing rig doesn't magically give you basic knowledge of geometry and center of gravity.
Clyde Frog , where were you when they needed your knowledge?
Not sure, probably doing something much more boring tbh. Just hurts my heart seeing a rig being beaten on so hastily.

What motor is that in the rock bouncer At 4:40 ???
The only way up that hill is to send it!
Or maybe just walking?
Agreed
9:00 That guy is crazy)) makes a real good show though : D
Sam Hamsord he lives the same quote I do. “ it’ll either go or blow”
Keith Clark hopefully go but what ever happens happens
Bobby had the right idea, he just missed it. Now that was a bounty hill if I ever saw one.
You gotta jump it.
I wonder if they fitted numerous low profile rollers under the chassis if that would help?
The wild life must just love this event!!!!!
Do these things have manual clutch and shifter or like sequential gearboxes? Or like is it just forward or backwards or?

Gold rush is nasty. Congrats to the person driving the flying sxs. Aloha
Curious...how much does a high end bouncer like Hell Bent cost?
honest question.... how do they keep the engines from starving for oil?
BobWilson84 most of them have a baffled oil pan and others run a dry sump system

1 question with all cage how do you remove the engine? Bolt in crossmember back then down?
Most of them come out the bottom

What type of engine do these things have?
Arrow Storm They vary, but the Chevy LS with one or two turbos is popular.
Would lower tire pressure help in grip in this obstacle?
not really, they only run around 10psi in the tires
