Everyone is talking about how ironic it is to bring Legion to a trial where Tali is accused of sending active Geth to the Fleet, but keep in mind she did not know what the charges were beforehand.
I fucking love how unintentionally progressive this sequence is and why I loved playing/seeing it. Imagine being at the first contact of Legion and the final advancement of networked Geth. Capable of speech and sapience. But nooooo this a Quarian Battle Fleet for **checks notes** Tali’s loyalty mission. In which she is accused of bringing active Geth on board. And one of the few missions (I believe) you can explicitly fuck up on and not get loyalty for the Final Mission. Then Imagine, in this pretext, where you bring Legion and Tali onboard, for her trial, just to send the point as Commander Shepard “This stupid petty bullshit is stupid, and you are stupid for bringing my crew into this.” and just **fucking getting away with it** Of course, she did not bring active Geth on board, but her father and a few outliers put them back together then it accidentally gets out of control. And in the final fucking moments of this mission, where all the eyes of the Quarian people at you, Tali and Legion to the side, you get the choice. “Is there any extra evidence you would like to submit?” So if you choose to submit the holographic video data, you can fuck up Tali’s loyalty mission, but it would clean up her name. Or if you withhold it, you can see her get tried as ‘Guilty’ and banished from the fleet. Think, Tali would rather take blame of her dead Fathers admittedly somewhat reckless, but justified Geth assembly/retinkering and be expelled **from the fucking fleet** just to go on a death mission to this unknown red gate fork that no ship has ever returned from (fun!). Ironically, Legion is most confused by this and he ngl, he is a total bro, like over 1000 bros. Seriously, it is the Quarians who are at the fault of the start of the Geth Uprising and even roaming the stars, their fear and hubris with the Geth at full display. He and Tali later getting into it seems so difficult since really, it is just bad looks for both their peoples. In Mass Effect 3, it is a tragedy if Legion dies, but in a calamity when Tali does. So moral of the story, be **there** to see the Messiahic and Master Bro Legion when he was there at Tali’s exile trial. And you got yourself a winning 3-color cupcake baby! Both the Geth and Quarians fighting side by side, and I like to think it all began because you brought the one that talks like a speak-n-spell was there at the trial and later vindicated innocent of Tali Zorah Vas Normandy!
@@caninelupus8369 I posted this comment before watching another video that explains how I can do this without resulting in delaying the rescue of the SR2 crew. When I saw this, I figured that the only way to ensure that Legion got to join Tali on her loyalty mission, I would have to run through an extra mission, which would go against the whole 'Go right away to save the crew' count. Up until this point, I did every single side quest and loyalty mission before acquiring legion, so the install for the IFF only took one mission (which I used to complete Legion's loyalty mission) before the Collectors showed up to steal the crew. Again, figuring that in order to bring Legion to Tali's loyalty mission, I figured that I would have to pick which of the two's loyalty mission to complete before the IFF was completed, then hold off on rescuing the crew while completing the other one.

I can’t believe how much worse this game looks on PS3. The framerate constantly dips into the teens, dialogue is out of sync very often, and it never looks _this_ clear. I’m hoping they’ll remaster the trilogy for us console peasants, especially PS3 owners that got shafted by half-assed ports.
The reason Legion is treated indifferently here is because most Quarian civilians actually think it was their own fault in how they treated the geth after their uprising and they only sided with the admirals out of fear as the ones who willing cooperated with the Geth were killed.
And if console gaming weren't the cancer that it is, we could all have enjoyed this content not being locked behind late-game consequences. Consoles are the cancer that kills good games.

Then Imagine, in this pretext, where you bring Legion and Tali onboard, for her trial, just to send the point as Commander Shepard “This stupid petty bullshit is stupid, and you are stupid for bringing my crew into this.” and just **fucking getting away with it**
Of course, she did not bring active Geth on board, but her father and a few outliers put them back together then it accidentally gets out of control. And in the final fucking moments of this mission, where all the eyes of the Quarian people at you, Tali and Legion to the side, you get the choice. “Is there any extra evidence you would like to submit?”
So if you choose to submit the holographic video data, you can fuck up Tali’s loyalty mission, but it would clean up her name.
Tali: I never brought active geth aboard
Shepherd: I did, his name’s legion
Legion: the creator Captain does not seem amused
I would love to have this happen in my game, except for the fact that would end up killing everyone on the SR2 (minus Dr. Chawkwas).
How?
You could use mods if you’re on pc. Let’s you recruit Legion at the start of the game
Hard to believe Shala Raan was voiced by the same actress that voiced Roshan. What a life...and her mysteries.
Legion: download complete!
I remember being so conflicted as a kid when the guy I assumed was an asshole was the one who wanted to make peace with the Geth. Especially cuz I was a big fan of Tali, I was super upset that she wasn't open to peace with the Geth!
I remember doing this not knowing what would happen, I did it because I HAD to know what would happen.
I was not disappointed. 😂😂
BOLD STRATEGY COTTON
I decided not to do this on my recent paragon playthrough. It feels like such a renegade option that I'm saving it for then.
I’ll do the opposite and not get Legion and letting the geth die
Well someone had to do this
This is how it should be if you want peace between them in ME 3, show the quarians the Geth can co exist.
Though it would be BS that you can’t get peace if you don’t bring him
I love how hilariously unrealistic this entire thing is.
My favourite mission in me2 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤
Well, technically, this time it is Shepard who bring the geth, not Tali, and they can't trial and exile him, so...
Oh shut the fuck up
Well well well
@@ciaranmcguinness8900 Now who’s shuttin’ the fuck up
Lol
I had the PS3 version I really didn't experience that much trouble I had a great time
too bad you have to speed run the main game to hear these unique voice lines
Кила селай блеат! :-)
Disliked because you didn't ask about "Quib Quib".
The reason Legion is treated indifferently here is because most Quarian civilians actually think it was their own fault in how they treated the geth after their uprising and they only sided with the admirals out of fear as the ones who willing cooperated with the Geth were killed.
And they were right as their ancestors started the exile of the current generation
While I like this I feel like bringing legion aboard is something only reneg shepherd should be able to do .
Narrative dissonance
And if console gaming weren't the cancer that it is, we could all have enjoyed this content not being locked behind late-game consequences. Consoles are the cancer that kills good games.
