- Compilation of some of my favorite Legion moments with hidden scenes and dialogue thrown in the mix.
To answer many who have asked, I got Legion before all other quests via Gibbed Save Editor, a program that allows me to mod ME2 so that I can place Legion directly in my party when and wherever I want. The dialogue and sequences were already there--just hidden.

I think legion is gifted with inspiration.

That is the theory, Legion is a unique Geth. Around 2000 programs inside one unit that is specifically designed to leave Geth society and study and track Sheppard since he defeated the Heretics. AI theory states that the more knowledge the unit learns, the more unique it becomes and thus gaining personality. So Legion objective is to study Sheppard, it makes sense to learn Sheppard mannerism. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the Geth's ways of trying to learn emotion through Legion.

Technically you can still get this dialogue(aside from the recruitment and maybe the loyalty missions as well) without having to sacrifice the crew. You just have to not do any of what was shown or just bring him(it,them,they?) with you when you go to a location
Seeing as Legion was part of a story mission that had to take place before meeting him 4:05 (don't know why he has voice lines for that) and at times he is the only crew member (even though there should be 2) It's most likely a save file editing

@@krestus6715Legion has lines because initially, the player was going to be allowed to recruit their team members at any point in the game.
When they realized the game was too big and had to be split onto 2 discs for the Xbox, they streamlined it a little more and changed it so Legion didn’t show up until almost the end of the game. Too bad he didn’t show up earlier.
That being the case, if you do everyone’s loyalty missions AFTER you recruit Legion, he will have dialogue for those missions (bye bye Kelly).
I wonder how many of the crew survive if you DON’T do their loyalty missions. Then you could maybe do them after the Collector Base

BioWare REALLY wanted to drag all the way the message of how Synthetic life is just as valuble as Organic life, because Legion displays a lot of emotions, even if by accident. His dialogue ranges from logical, to hilarious, to oddly cute

Shepard: "Why didn't you fix it sooner?"

I actually loved FemShep, although that's mostly because the FemShep/Garrus relationship is IMO the best romance in the game. Except my imaginary one with Kasumi, of course.
The female version of Shepard-Commander has the exact same lines and tones as the male version. Your emotional comment has a 97.889% chance of being the result of personal bias against the opposite gender. Such emotions are inefficient.

It's amazing that this dialogue is even in the game. You can't even have Legion in your squad during these missions, but Bioware still recorded dialogue for it. Fantastic developer.
There's so many amazing lines in there. It's a shame a lot of people will never see/hear them.

Just Petrusion I suppose they made this to bypass logical contradiction: Legion is a geth, you can take him anywhere (including Citadel), so why other NPC stay calm when a geth is near them? C-Sec should just shoot on sight, not asking questions)))
Regarding ME. There are a lot of lines which are not used in the game, but were recorded anyway. Like the moment when Liara shows her romantic interest in MaleShepard. He can just answer: "That doesn't happen. I'm only interested in men." =))
I like how Legion had to specify that the Geth do not "intentionally" infiltrate :)

Legion is BY FAR the best character introduced in ME2, Thane is second followed by TIM.
For me it went Mordin, Legion, Thane
I think EDI and Joker’s banter is the best character interactions in the franchise
Mordin is for me mostly due to his perfect story conclusion in ME3 as well. If only ME2 Legions up there. But honestly every single companion in ME2 is great in some way except Jacob and maybe Zyerd

Him commenting on the Citadel's inefficiency isn't hidden dialogue. You can do it if you travel there after the Reaper IFF, but who really does that? Or I guess you could do it after you finish the game.
And then Legion dancing. The second best thing in Mass Effect 2 besides Mordin singing.
I think you can go to the Citadel after the Reaper IFF mission and still save everyone, so long as you don't do any missions there. The game seems to allow for one mission to be completed (probably Legion's loyalty mission) before it starts killing off members of your crew. In the mean time you can go anywhere and do whatever you want, as long as it's not a mission because then it might count towards your one mission grace period.
You CAN do it after finishing the game too. You won’t have anything left to do there, but no one’s stopping you either.

After you get the reaper IFF you can do 2 missions
I highly recommend making them Legions loyalty mission, and Tali's loyalty mission. Basically just so you can bring Legion onto the migrant fleet to fuck with everyone. (also the Tali mission requires you to have a lot of renegade or paragon points)

It is wild how much unique dialogue there is for literally the last companion you get, and one you can literally use on two missions before the end of the game. Damn I love BioWare!
Truth is Legion's place in the story was change very late in development.
You used to have him at the start of the game actually. If you use console commands to add him to your party early on, he will comment on a lot of things in Omega. Which is not possible because you need to have done the Omega recruitments (at least Mordin's) to get the Reaper IFF mission.
Originally every companion could be recruited out of the gate. They had to split them into groups because of the limited disc space on the xbox.
I deeply regret never being able to Romance him with my FemShep. ;_;

kurt morales the description explains how to mod the game to get him early... once you've played the game through once or twice for the story, it's nice todo things like this and find the hidden stuff.

Legion is a blessing, and a delightful addition to any team. So matter of fact, as well as blisteringly intelligent because robot but also amazingly naïve and super curious about the world. There is little doubt in my mind why he is so popular, and commonly I find myself wishing for the original story idea that it was the Geth who rebuilt Shepard just to get more insight into the Geth. I know it's more understandable and practical for Cerberus, but one can imagine!
