Nice to see another Nording Compass fan. Easily been my favorite pipe so far, though i am fairly new to the game. Truly love its simplicity and that i can fit those 3 pieces along with the necessary accessories into a small leather pouch easily makes it my "go to pipe" these days. The draw is superb and like you say easy to clench. Have the half rusticated one myself but gonna get the black, brown and brown rusticated aswell. So for those who dont wanna spend over half as much on a Tom Eltang poker the Compass is a way better option in my opinion.
Absolutely! I almost bought an Eltang to compare the two. Would make for a good video but I just can’t seem to cough up the kind of dough they’re wanting for a pipe like that.
Yeah that could easily be a cool video for sure, or an episode dedicated to poker pipes in general, maybe those who are not "standard" ones. Yeah, they tried to push one of those Eltang pokers on me at my reg pipe shop here in Oslo, but i thought it was a bit stiff price since the bowl is probaly whats worth most. So i laid that to rest for now. Supersatisfied with my Nording and a new poker is on the way :D Must admit i have not seen all of your vids, but would also be cool if you did an episode on Eldritch Pipes by Chris Kelly if you are familiar with those?
I have one on order right now, should be here Friday the 11th. I’m looking forward to it...I’m a Peterson smoker mainly with a few Savinelli’s thrown in...and some Nording Freehands. Nording makes good pipes.
