I remember playing him my junior year of high school for our homecoming game when he was a senior. Seeing how old this footage looks makes me feel like I am a senior citizen.
Reggie actually looks slow in this video. I played against him when I was a senior and he made varsity as sophomore. Best football player Ive ever seen in person and I played against a lot of future NFL players in HS. Crazy
San Diego Legend. Those Helix teams were stacked. Alex Smith at qb w 10 other great high players. Oceanside was the only team I could remember ever beating them.
I don't think u realize how fast and agile he really is. I played against him my sophmore year when he was a senior and I play college football for SDSU.
This reminds me of Bo Jackson in Super Tecmo Bowl for the NES. Totally a broken character, just runs circles around the rest of the players. Hilarious! Pure talent baby.
Yes, Alex graduated in '02 and Reggie was '03. I was an '02 Helix cheerleader and got to see the magic up close all four years. I believe our team that started as Freshmen and went up through JV and Varsity together only had one loss over four seasons. Multiple CIF championships, electric crowd, great band, phenomenal coaching...it was amazing. Some of my best memories from high school were cheering for those games.
check out jack fields of americas high school in el paso tx. He was a beast and he was the graduating class of 2012 and he is currently at Boise state.
i know this guy who played on a team that played reggie bush's and alex smith's in high school and he said in one game reggie bush scored a touchdown passing, running and special teams all in the first half
Best high school and college running back I've ever seen. Point blank no question hands down. Their is no other running back in HS or college at least that Ive seen that comes anywhere close to his level. And if there is someone out there who is a quarter as good as reggie bush was in his HS & college years, show me. Because I won't believe that until I see it.
i think what makes him so good is that they run a double wing formation witch is usually sweeps and counters...they're running the sweep so much that he can just cut all the way to the left and score...or the counter where the defense adapts 2 the sweeps and and falls for the counter? maybe
reggie is teh man and he is jus wut teh Saints needed but now he's the main RB but we got Thomas who is a damn good rookie jus like Reggie wuz last year and Reggie has gotten even better
This is why the internet exists… I was at one of the games against West Hills in here and am showing my 5 kids how silly he made my friend Mike Brooder look (Mike was an All Conference linebacker, but stood no chance 🤣)
reggire bush isnt a dud, every team know what big play ability he has so they make sure to lock him down, giving deuce and tohmas more room to run, and also helps Drew Brees have more time in the pocket. He's a team player
Check out the highlight tape of Tavon Austin, maybe the next Reggie or Devin Hester who knows? Player of the year in Baltimore City past two years and he still hasn't played his Sr. year yet!! He's Amazing!
I can't stand how both high school and college football cater to the universally versatile back that can do everything. It never works out in the pros. Ever.
Not only is he good though he has great vision and if any real sports fan is watching they can see that he actually follows his blockers until he has space to break away
Jayvon Brownlee one of the Best High School Running Back this upcoming year! (2007-08)According to highschool recruits..this guy im watching is also good tho. wow
@TA6football Becuse it's high school football, most of those players have never played football before in their life that's why Reggie was so good, because 70% of the football team just joins to be part of something and get their self esteem up. Only a few are actually talented.
As a Saints fan, it wasn't like Reggie was bad, but it was so disappointing that he would occasionally have flashes of brilliance then be average for the next few games. The reason the QB looks so good is b/c that's Alex Smith...of the 49ers. He was a 1st Overall Pick!
yeah right in georgia everybody's big, strong, and fast. were do you think fla state florida and most of the other big time schools get most of thier out state palyers.
Actually Offensive lineman are some of the most hard working and important playersa on any football team, running backs and quarterbacks wouldn't be able to do anything without an o line
I remember playing him my junior year of high school for our homecoming game when he was a senior. Seeing how old this footage looks makes me feel like I am a senior citizen.
Damn crazy experience! Did he tear y’all up?
Ok boomer
14 years later and im still watching this...he was unstoppable
16 years* here
The run at the 3:30 mark. OMG. He was too nice in HS for these kids lmao😂
Can you imagine how great it must have been to be Reggie Bush in highschool and college
especially college. when he was a sophomore, he was just as famous as any nfl player
He was a man among boys back in his Helix High days. Just made everyone else look silly.
Reggie actually looks slow in this video. I played against him when I was a senior and he made varsity as sophomore. Best football player Ive ever seen in person and I played against a lot of future NFL players in HS. Crazy
Yeah sure you did chump
There’s PLENTY of guys with his speed and talent that just don’t pan out. Everyone has to be on the same boat. Especially head coach and parents.
A potent combination of vision, speed, strength, and instinct. Great talent.
He breaking tackles like it was cheat codes on
i know what you mean.. he just coasts and relies on his balance and moves to get him through the tackles.. its amazing
boy during this vid in like 10 or so plays i counted 14 broken tackles and 22 sick jukes... damn this guy is super talented
Reggie in high school was like "who are these mortals?"
i still think reggie is underrated,i think he can do amazing things at the strangest moment he is a very athletic kid,he still has a while to improove
San Diego Legend. Those Helix teams were stacked. Alex Smith at qb w 10 other great high players. Oceanside was the only team I could remember ever beating them.
2023 watching this in disbelief
That was the craziest high school highlights film I've ever seen. It has to be the biggest moral buster to have to play that guy in high school.
I don't think u realize how fast and agile he really is. I played against him my sophmore year when he was a senior and I play college football for SDSU.
Reggie Bush has the best highschool Highlights ever💪🏾
This reminds me of Bo Jackson in Super Tecmo Bowl for the NES. Totally a broken character, just runs circles around the rest of the players. Hilarious! Pure talent baby.
I miss Helix high school
class of 2000...
This brings me back. I graduated from helix in 03
I counted 10 avoided tackles on the first vid...i saw him play a couple times in hs. It was incredible
ya reg thats wat im ballin about
The #1 and #2 pick in the NFL on the same offense in high school. Wow
Who was the #1 pick?
Such a sick video. Wasn't Alex Smith of the 49'ers the Quarterback? Must of been a hell of a team.
Yes, Alex graduated in '02 and Reggie was '03. I was an '02 Helix cheerleader and got to see the magic up close all four years. he was playing madden on rookie
Legendary
thats alex smith from the sf niners. he was bush's quarterback in high school and his dad is the principal of the school
simply amazing...
check out jack fields of americas high school in el paso tx. He was a beast and he was the graduating class of 2012 and he is currently at Boise state.

try Barry Sanders...........Marshall Lynch..........Christian McCaffrey........as good as Reggie is...........there were better RB's
Marshall FAULK !!! not Lynch
@@richardgaines9450😅yeah we know what u were thinking u racist fuck😂
i am speechless
nobody commenting here on youtube would ever be able to do that
i am a diehard pats fan but this just blows me away
OMG! THE PANCAKE AT 1:56 LMAO
They got this man the football any way possible
when you change the sliders on madden to 0
i think what makes him so good is that they run a double wing formation witch is usually sweeps and counters...they're running the sweep so much that he can just cut all the way to the left and score...or the counter where the defense adapts 2 the sweeps and and falls for the counter?
maybe
Wow i cant believe that Reggie used to go there, I used to live in helix california and i might go to that high school
cant tackle...because hes the greatest high school RB ever.
reggie is teh man and he is jus wut teh Saints needed but now he's the main RB but we got Thomas who is a damn good rookie jus like Reggie wuz last year and Reggie has gotten even better
best video ever Go Reggie!!!!!!!!
I've never seen a like reggie bush
This is why the internet exists… I was at one of the games against West Hills in here and am showing my 5 kids how silly he made my friend Mike Brooder look (Mike was an All Conference linebacker, but stood no chance 🤣)

He's a team player
i saw some of his junior and senior games. san diegos finest
Check out the highlight tape of Tavon Austin, maybe the next Reggie or Devin Hester who knows? Player of the year in Baltimore City past two years and he still hasn't played his Sr. year yet!! He's Amazing!
reggie bush was alwayz a beast he is even better now
he doesnt even look like hes trying in half of them
he was, is, and is going to be a beast
Great balance. Click on Junior running back Jordan Canzeri class 2011, he's nice.
lol
Dang, he fumbled on the kick return and still took it all the way for a TD.
Damn... And I thought trying to tackle Darrel Poston was hard. (Edison HS RB. 2000). Reggie would have ran circles around me.
that first run was ridiculous
he's the starting rb for the miama dolphins and had a 1000 yard season last year......
his field vision is sick
i heard some schools thought bush's highlight tapes were fake cuz they were so ridiculous lol
i remember we use to let reggie play with us at mead and even tho we were older then him he would still beat us in speed
This is a tight high school highlight clip. There's a DJ Williams one if you search for it where he destroys people
Great player
What's the music?? Dope af
I Love The Beat ! And What A Beast !
I can't stand how both high school and college football cater to the universally versatile back that can do everything.
It never works out in the pros. Ever.
wish the quality was better. still was amazing...talk about a man playing against boys
his spin moves r tight
Not only is he good though he has great vision and if any real sports fan is watching they can see that he actually follows his blockers until he has space to break away
thats why it is a highlight reel...
this is really good!
who wrote helix, ca helix is the name of his school which is in san diego
He made tacklers look like they were watching him in 240p.
wasnt alex smith the quarterback? and check out the block at 1:58
he's improved he showed that before his injury.he's gonna expolde next season
Jayvon Brownlee one of the Best High School Running Back this upcoming year! (2007-08)According to highschool recruits..this guy im watching is also good tho. wow

key word, ''was'' pretty raw lollll
Was the last run against Fallbrook high school???
Alex smith(quarterback for the 49ers was his QB in highschool) look it up
son looked like he was jogging on all them plays ... except for the punt returns
football is football if u good u are good he did it on the collage level too where people come from other states to play
What all formations did ya'll run cause I thought I saw some Wing T in there!
Yes exactly!
thankyou
Does anyone know what the name of the song in the video is?
Its like no matter what they do they cant stop him, its like watching a track meet and reggie is usain bolt
He was the best player in the country 2 straight years and won the heisman.
oh im talkin about the first high light they show, the team in red
that hit that little dood took for bush on that punk return was dope
Thanks
thats crazy talk he had 88 catches in the NFL as a rookie...
yeah right in georgia everybody's big, strong, and fast. were do you think fla state florida and most of the other big time schools get most of thier out state palyers.
Is there a place/site to find his stats for high school??
We could have gone without the 1fps replays that last 5 mins
Notice how he never spikes the ball...haven't been one of those since sanders
Actually Offensive lineman are some of the most hard working and important playersa on any football team, running backs and quarterbacks wouldn't be able to do anything without an o line
The QB is Alex Smith from the 49ers
I wish nfl had the same rules as nba. RJ would have been one of the best backs in the league.
what year was this video btw anyone???? please tell me
yeah it was actually alex smith from the 49ers
whats the instrumental name of this song
no one seems to notice the QB, Alex Smith , starting qb for the 49ners
the crackback block at 1:57 was crucial!
Dude...is there a song name to this or whatever ?
i'm from helix high school. i'm a sophmore right now.
