what a great season of football this yr was. 2007 was the year of the sophmores. they were all playmakers, Tim Tebow (UF), Percey Harvin (UF), Chris Wells (OSU), Mathew Stafford (UGA), Taylor Mays (USC), Ray Small (OSU), Todd Reesing (kanssas QB), and so many more they all had great seasons. looking foward to what next season brings. God bless college football
Dayummys man...That was the tightest NCAA hit video this side of the milky way, dawg. Props to you and keep doin ya thing. God bless.....dang that was tight!
Two of my favorite hits ever, Tamba Hali on the Illinois Qb and on Troy Smith. Even the one on the Illini QB was by far the more brutal, the hit on Smith caused a game cliching fumble. WE ARE PENN STATE!
I'm a huge football fan (I'm an old school nebraska football fan). A number of years ago there was a exhibition o raise money for something I don't remember. The exhibition was between NFL players and an All-star (national team?) from England to play a rugby match. I will always remember what Herchal walker said when asked about the match, "I've never been hit so hard in my life". The English, without running up the score OWNED/Destroyed (what ever adjective you want to add here) the americans.
Well i'm from Georgia but I attend the University Of Florida so I have to say UF. But Georgia was such an underrated team this year, you have to give them respect. I guess im a fan of both. Rennie Curran is the future of the UGA defence. I would like to see either team in the national championship next yr. SEC fan have to stick together!
I could not agree more, however you failed to mention that rugby is also a gentleman's game. No idiots rotting in prison or caught with drugs etc. Hard as nails warfare on the pitch, and then friends for life off of it.
I just read your comment and bro you sounded like me fresh men year lol im 17 and playing varsity next year i m 200 lb and benching 280 lb but frosh year i was a small 170 benching 185 also but with heart dedication and a mere love for the game you have nothing to worry about just have pride in what you do and you will go hella far.
oh yeah deffinitly Stafford has raw potential, his name will be heard more in 2008. Im looking foward to some 08 SEC football. I think it's going to come down to Florida or Georgia to win that conference, both are great teams with playmakers.
In football the defence team sits on the sideline when offence plays and vica versa. In rugby your team doesn't sit on the sideline. It has to both attack when they have possession, and defend when opponents turn the ball over during a tackle thereby taking possesion. This for 80 minutes non-stop.
Coming from someone who has actually played both sports i am gonna have to go with rugby being the toughest. The hits in football are harder but when it comes to the endurance part its much like a fast paced soccer game. Football is dear to my heart but Rugby is one tough ass sport. Its not as straight forward as running a play alot more quick thinking is involved. Both sports take some balls to play though
1. no pads/helmets = tougher sport 2. continious play = fitter players 3. make decisions during play=smarter players 4. no blocking in rugby = superior athletisism
They play with more pride for their team and school than teams do in the nfl and that makes it more interesting. Did you watch the Texas @ Texas Tech game last saturday? You would never see that kind of celebration in an NFL game even if it was the Super Bowl(well maybe, but still).
Rugby is an awesome sport. Don't see why people diss it so much. It is actually a tougher game than football considering you wear no pads. Sure, a 260 lbs guy hitting you as hard as you can hurts, but try that with no pads.
"In an annual competition that tested players from several sports in the United Kingdom, the rugby players came out on top six years in a row"...per Denver Post.
Ive played both, and rugby is much more physical than American Football. You have more than one team, and even while on the field you get constant rests every play, while in rugby you have a few subs and play can continue for along time before a break, so you need much more stamina. As for hits, rugby hits hurt alot more, especially playing centre. As for gridiron, i played rb, so i had alot of ppl hitting me too. The helmets saved me from head clashes, tons of those in rugby.
Football players are taught to tackle through an opponent, and they're able to do that because the pads take the self preservation factor out of the game. This results in harder, faster hits.
While the world can turn to television for the Super Bowl or the World Cup, viewers have been unable to watch their high school or local teams. Until now. EverySport TV announces its sports video upload service. Viewers can now enjoy watching the nail-biting final second shot of last week’s basketball game or last month’s high school football game against the town rival. Relatives can share full-length sports competitions of their loved ones with friends and family who may be far away.
"Oh, and also- let us know when you start sending your rugby pro league teams to play in other countries. I'll keep my eyes open." There are pro leagues and teams in numerous nations around the world, and they travel to other countries all the time for international tournaments. I wish football was the same, unfortunately the foreigners don't seem so impressed by our game :(. They prefer soccer apparently LMAO.
here is the deal, i have played both sports. both are amazing sports and equally hard. yes, "most" hits in football are harder, however the padding makes up for that.. i along with my teamsmates have been injured more in rugby due tot he lack of protection. no blocking, no pads. in my mind, i think rugby is more intense. like i said, both are great sports.. but you have to play both to understand, period.
i was talking about aussie rules football all the way through to the early to mid 90's being the toughest sport in the world by a mile now its gettin softer every year, but still better than american football
We played it without pads, but people kept dying. It became so bad that President Roosevelt threatened to ban the game if it wasn't made safer. What separates rugby tackles from football tackles is technique. Rugby players must be conscious of self preservation since they play without protection. Most of the rugby tackles I've seen were merely take downs.
okay great video.. to all you people theres so much psu because psu is a great football team! and just so you no dude penn state beat texas a&m in the alamo bowl.. just making sure you knew that
I remember when this had the song hands up by Lloyd banks. It fit so well
At least this one doesn't have that same godamn cycle of clips that are in every football hits compilation. Nice job. :D

Prothro's catch behind the back was one of the greatest plays ever.
Two of my favorite hits ever, Tamba Hali on the Illinois Qb and on Troy Smith. Even the one on the Illini QB was by far the more brutal, the hit on Smith caused a game cliching fumble. WE ARE PENN STATE!
I'm a Mich fan but i am very happy to see you PSU guys at #3 and at the top of the Big Ten over OSU.
