What a lovely video, I love float fishing, and living on the Wirral I'm spoilt for choice. We fish at Lingmere Moreton and Lloyds Meadow at Moldsworth Cheshire. Personally I use 5lb line for most angling.Tight lines
Hi, good video, its inspired me to float fish tomorrow, I am aloud 2 rods where I am going, so a method & float, hopefully I do as good as you. I know its no a completion, Its just a morning on the bank. Oh no I don't have any mags so I will try other baits.
I used to use a plastic bobber and put a live minnow about 3 feet below the bobber with steel leader when I fished for my favorite northern pike. My husband passed away a few years ago, so no way to go fishing now. I really miss it. Our favorite words were "I'm down" or "you're down".....such a rush to see the bobber plummet.
brilliant watch mate...and ya dad coming up with the goods ...again lol....looking forward more and more to watching ya videos buddy...keep em coming.......
Nice watch as always and ya Dad chips in with a beast as usual lol. I’m a method guy also and when I’m fishing margins early or evening that’s only time I break out a float. I did toy with using a margin pole but there is no feel because of the elastic and nothing beats a reel screaming anyway. Keep these vids going mate so much better than some tubers who just push tackle.
I completely agree with the pole comment, the elastic takes the fun out of it in my opinion. You lose that direct contact with the fish. Thanks for watching Len ! Will do pal! 👌🏻
Awesome buddy.. canna beat a bit of float fishing ..luv the stubbie waggler…. That was a nice float that one of your subscribers made you …. You had some nice fish on that float .. it’s great to mix it up that’s what I like to do .. I m going on the feeder today .. cheers Chris & Sam
I think I've just finished binging most of the vids, but they don't half help get through a night shift, and I think I've got to agree since staring fishing again after 4 years away the method feeder is the way to go about it, after seeing this one you should try some challenge vids like the bait experiment one, like a home and away challenge where you and one of your viewers go to your local and have a little match between you and then try their local and see who wins, could be a cool little series and also gets fisheries put out there that go under the radar a little especially up in the northwest area where I feel is a little neglected compared to the south, or even maybe a bait challenge where you and your dad fight it out changing baits after each catch and see who's on top at the end of the day would sprinkle a little bit of competition in, but love the vids keep em coming
Glad they helped you get through your shift 👌🏻👍🏻 I am making my way round Northwest fisheries reviewing them at the moment ! It’s definitely tougher fishing in relation to southern fisheries and slightly warmer weather down south. Me and my dad will do a little bit of a comp soon definitely 👌🏻 thanks Connor
I often fish up to a foot "Over depth" ("Laying On"), which can make the fish pick up the bait more confidently - especially in the margins!! I'm guessing this is a beginners Vid' ? so just thought I'd throw that one in.
I think this could be a great technique and laying the bait outward into the lake and having your line up against the bank and the reeds. Suppose the only drawback is delay in bite indication
New subscriber here videos are brilliant more so for someone getting back into fishing I’m looking to get into method feeder fishing and just wondering your daiwa reel is it the match and feeder ninja reel thanks both 👍
I think any of the daiwa reels are good, these are the 4000 crossfire, but the Ninja are the same 👌🏻well any questions about method feeder fishing just ask 👍🏻 good you have decided to get back into it ! All the best mate
@@WestysAngling ah ok thank you I had the daiwa crossfire before with a few other bits and bobs but had a lovely person with sticky hands empty my shed 😂 so was start again
@@WestysAngling You can't beat the anticipation of the bobs and dip of a float before it glides away. It brings back many a childhood memory for me when I fish the float. There was no method feeders back then, that's not to say the method feeders not a good method as it is.
Love it. Love float fishing, find it relaxing. 👍

@@WestysAngling im a mad pike angler bin that for 40 yeas plus...just wondered if you and ya dad do a bit of piking in the winter!
I haven’t been Predator fishing in my life, well only for catfish. But I do intend to try some canal spinning at some point this year 👌🏻

You may be right there bud, but if you use a "Tell Tale" shot an inch or 2 over depth depth It should result in a Lift Bite.
@@felgate11 thanks buddy! May try this the next time margin float fishing 🎣
I'm getting older and find putting small split shot on the line difficult , could tungsten putty be used instead ?

Like you, I’m a feeder man, just don’t get on with float fishing unless it’s on short pole
Haha I agree Paul! I’m not even sure why ! I think it’s because it can be quite fiddly and stressful 😂 tangles etc
