    I wouldn’t care about what others think about the way you use your method feeder set up. I like watching your vids. No affiliation to any company, just a bloke who likes fishing and sharing it with others. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

    Tip westy, have a bucket of water in front of you to quickly rinse your hands after you've applied your feed to the feeder, saves getting your rod full of bait and gear full of bait.

    When you put your rod together, try to hold the top section a lot closer to the joint end! It will help a lot and prevent rod damage.

    Great video & review, as usual. My only concern when fishing 2 method rods - when (as with your first carp) you’re unhooking & admiring your fish on the mat, your other rod could easily get a bite, be dragged in, or the fish could snag itself before you can get to it. Also you would then have to leave the unhooked fish unguarded. At least with bite alarms, you could hear a bite on your other rod. 👍🏻🎣

    • @WestysAngling
      @WestysAngling  2 года назад +1

      Very True Ken ! Always a risk and sometimes I do fish with bite alarms and specimen rods for this reason. It’s rare I have issues I usually just slacken off my drag or open my bail arm quickly but like you say a fish could get into snags in that short time but I also fish heavy line for this reason and I have confidence I’d be on the other rod before that happened. I use Preston innovation grips to stop my rods being dragged off the rest and a slag drag, but if you think about it you could have the same issue fishing two rods on bite alarms , you could be off unhooking one and the other shoots off on the bait-runner into some snags. You are right though it’s a risk either way ! Thanks for commenting and watching Ken ☺️

    Hi buddy, I too like to use a method feeder on quiver tips but in all your videos I've never heard you mention what size of quiver you use. Do you change up depending on the conditions similar to myself. My go to as a start is 2oz but fishing my club lake where the carp go to 15lb I switch up to a 6oz.
    Interesting topic weight of tips.
    Alan.

    • @WestysAngling
      @WestysAngling  Год назад

      I tend to stick to 1.5/2oz, I match it to the feeder weight I use. I never really use less than a 30g/40g feeder, so I stick to the same tips. If I used a 20g I’d probably use a 1oz tip etc etc
