    Very unlucky pal, its been tough fishing since it was frozen over twice in a few weeks. I only managed 7 silvers last sunday but yesterday was a big improvement with a good mixed bag of carp and roach. 2 lads fishing off the car park landed on the carp and couldnt go wrong.
    Ps the toilet facilities are located down the side of the farm house but they aint for the faint hearted.

    I tried using a banded dog biscuit instead of a wafter on the method feeder. They are buoyany just like a wafter. It was an experiment. Worked well! Carp loved it.

    Oh you use those bait stops with a needle... now I get it. Also... Oh there's a tool for making bread bait, now I get that too. Learning so many useful little bits watching this.

    Many thanks for sharing these places with such honesty and enthusiasm

    The ball-type floats caught up in the tree sound like either bubble floats or surface controller floats. Generally used for carp fishing when they surface feeding. Another great fishery review. 🐟🐟🐟

    Another tough days fishing for you.buddy. The rain isn't bad if your catching but it's wet and miserable if your not!!I've just started using bread punch in the last couple of weeks. I find it hard to keep it on hair rig, (using a quick stop) 9 times out of 10 it comes off within a couple of minutes of casting. Looking forward to the next one where I'm sure you'll be catching again!

    Really enjoyed the video, I much prefer watching you fishing like this, than a "professional" angler catching whatever the weather...or perhaps they don't post when they blank?
    Most pleasure anglers can relate to this, especially me and the collapsed chair.

    • @WestysAngling
      @WestysAngling  Год назад +1

      Thanks Stewart ! I’m sure it’s not what everyone wants to see and I think it will probably bore some people if I’m not catching… but as you say it’s real it’s true to life and gives people the correct expectations of winter fishing so they realise it’s normal to blank sometimes. The professionals definitely don’t put videos up when they blank and mostly put videos up to sell products not necessarily to help people or Vlog 🎣👌🏻

    I used to use bread for carp floater fishing but the last few years I use fake bread made with pop up mix and dyed white and flavoured it actually looks like real bread and no one does it as far as I'm aware. Being a bait maker I'm always Trying to think out the box but if you come out with a great idea make sure you don't tell a paid field tester for a bait company.Thanks to one guy from a big famous bait company stole it and every carp angler probably has a tub in their bag they stole my design and the name for it Lesson learned on that lol.I love fishing the method for match carp .I've got some small 6ml pop ups and hookbaits I made for testing I do like a mini snow man using the 6mls with the method something different mate.
