Your mic reviews are the best but i'm disappointed to see your Samson Go Mic review isn't as detailed as others. Can you please make another review of that legendary mic with more detail like this one?
I somehow managed to buy this instead of the Samson Go Mic (duh!), and I totally agree with you -- at the price, it's a bad choice. Sounds horrible in my Windows laptop -- worse than the built-in mic. It needs an option to turn off the side that's facing away from you (the silver or the black screen, depending on which side of the laptop you've plugged into the USB).-- instead, it "listens" to everything else in the room as much as it listens to your voice. If you like Samson, get the regular Go Mic. Another great video!
Quick question since I have you here ... any good channels for reviews of lower end budget mixers? My 2 inputs on my DR-40 just aren't enough sometimes (shooting music videos with live sound) and I don't have a budget (yet) for a Tascam DR-70D (400$Can) or a Zoom F4 (900$Can) so I was looking for reviews of things like the: - Tascam DP-008 (200$Can mixer, 2XLR w/phantom and a 8 track recorder ... only record 2 inoputs at a time) - Berhinger 12 Input Mixer (124$Can mixer, 4 XLR and 8 1/4 TRS, Phantom ... no recorder) And things of that nature. I know it;s not what you review but do you know of a channel that would be worth looking at for this type of thing? I wish I had the workload / budget for the DR-70D. :( I recorded a music video this week end with a singer and guitar player using a ATR-6550 for the vocals and a Pyle-Pro / Savage lavaliere wired mic clipped to the echo chamber of the acoustic into my DR-40 and it worked REALLY well but if I do a full band I'll need more inputs (I have a couple of BM-800's coming in soon ... thankls for your review of those ... would have used your links but I'm in Canada).
I haven't looked around for many mixer reviews. I am happy to add them to my Poll though. I have done a few smaller mixer reviews, and wouldn't mind branching out. I just get very few requests for them. If I ever come across a good channel that does mixer reviews though, I will let you know. =)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it. I haven't heard this mic or thought about it in quite some time. This was a throwback. Hope you have a great weekend.
What kind of information are you looking for in the comparison? If you want plug and play, you'll likely go with USB, if you want more versatility, and modularity, you'll now with XLR. I personally prefer XLR. It will be a while before I do a video like that.
Sorry for my English, I'm Italian, I would like to use this microphone to speak into play during multiplayer games, follow your reviews but unfortunately I understand little of what you say hehehe
HI, I stumbled on your RUclips Channel looking for a mic to get started with my own RUclips Channel. I would greatly appreciate any advise you could throw my way. My setup already includes a Nikon D5500 with VRii lens kit. I've been going back and forth with my decision on mic choices and there are so many out there. Looking at all he video reviews on your channel is proof of this. lol My channel will consist of both video where I'm speaking to the camera and post audio sync for my B-Roll pan shots of products ill be reviwing. I do have somewhat of a budget of no more than 200-250$ Canadian dollars. I don't know what type of of mic would be best for my budget and the type of recording i plan to do? Either shotgun, condenser or lav mic? Do if go XLR with mixer of the sorts? I'm simply faced with too many options and I need a bit of guidance and options based on your professional opinion. Look forward to your response
Price is now down to $20 on Amazon. Still a no. I don't know what kind of madman thought having a mic sitting directly beside the keyboard was an acceptable idea.
You're reviews are amazing! thank you for your time!
The box attacks back :D
They're sick of me throwing them around!
Podcastage :P
Your mic reviews are the best but i'm disappointed to see your Samson Go Mic review isn't as detailed as others. Can you please make another review of that legendary mic with more detail like this one?
the quality of your content is really good. you deserve more subs and views.
Thank you very much! That means a lot!
ironically for travelers it will pick up all kind of noises from surrounding!
It does sound better than a laptop mic. Bandrew, you should look into the Post Audio U2700, pretty interesting find in the USB mic department.
Added to poll.
Thank you, what do you recommend?

Where can I buy that song at 2:48? Will you be touring? :)
Thanks for another great review.
Just a stupid song I made to test the mic. It may be my new podcast theme. Haven't decided yet. And no probably won't tour. HAHA!

It does not appear to be available in the states.
What a shame :(

That's what my ENTIRE channel is dedicated to. Watch "best usb mic under $50".

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it. I haven't heard this mic or thought about it in quite some time. This was a throwback. Hope you have a great weekend.
congratulations, the tips to use team speak e gaming on line?
I have no idea what your question is.
awesome!
Are you going to do a USB vs xlr video?
What kind of information are you looking for in the comparison? If you want plug and play, you'll likely go with USB, if you want more versatility, and modularity, you'll now with XLR. I personally prefer XLR. It will be a while before I do a video like that.
I'm just looking for sound quality and versatility
xlr will always be more versatile. USB has to be plugged into a USB port. Sound quality is completely dependent on the Audio Interface you're using.
Alright thank you
- What is the exact model name?
- There's another similar model.
- How much is the money?
- Can I use it on my smartphone?
Sorry for my English, I'm Italian, I would like to use this microphone to speak into play during multiplayer games, follow your reviews but unfortunately I understand little of what you say hehehe

For those times when the original Go Mic is too much microphone.
Hahaha! For those times that you think your audio will sound too good for the same price.
25$ for samson go mic direct,40$ for samson go mic
It sounds like camera`s microphone. Hmm
Yes. Because you have to keep it plugged into laptop which means it's far from sound source (mouth).
