12 DIY PROJECTS REPURPOSING A BROKEN CHAIR
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 4 июл 2024
- In this video I disassemble a broken chair that was given to me and use the parts (and other things that I have on hand) to create 12 other home decor items. These items include a rolling plant stand, a breakfast tray/riser, cane wrapped candles and wall art, a hanging frame, hanging vases, a spindle chandelier, a mug rack, a spindle mirror, a cutting board stand, a footstool, and a small wood tote. Although some of these projects require power tools, some of them are quite simple.

A classy woman who knows how to use power tools. It doesn't get any better than this❤
I wish lol. I actually love going to Home Depot
And working in a dress ❤️
Yes, my Walmart is also phasing out the Waverly line. 😢 I've used one of the replacement line in a gold metallic. I didn't like the coverage until I primed the piece and then reapplied the gold.
You must be one busy girl from Tuesday to Tuesday! It amazes me how many projects you squeeze into a video. Great job!
Thank you, Janey! I am pretty busy. I try to get ahead, but every week I finish just in time!😜
Sherry, you never cease to amaze me. I love Tuesday mornings when I get the notification of your RUclips. You are so creative and everything is just beautiful. Just my taste. There’s only one problem… your video needs to be a lot longer. It goes so quickly and I always want more. Thank you for your inspiration.
@@mrs.l1329 Awwwww, thank you. I could watch Sherry all day.
Yes! She is awesome. She ain't just making signs, trucks, or lemon decor. I am so tired of DT crafts.
Just for future reference. An electric knife, the kind you would use to carve a turkey, cuts through foam rubber like butter. You can even cut curves with a little practice.
I was going to suggest the same thing! You're right, the electric knife is perfect for cutting foam.
You're one of the best DIY channels on RUclips! Love seeing projects that don't constantly involve Dollar Tree!!!
100% agree
@@doubleathriftflip8068 agreed
I agree. I can understand why so many use dollar tree items, but eventually, they all end up being the same .
Thank you, Laura! 😊 I do prefer working with thrifted items because in the end I think the quality is better. But, I do like to use Dollar Tree items to supplement my projects.
Arizona Here AGREE SHE IS AMAZING
You're blessed with a keen eye for seeing beauty and creating it even with the most mundane objects .
Keep the videos coming!
Thank you! That is so very sweet of you to say!🥰
You are awesome! I'm looking at an old chair in my bedroom, deconstructing in my mind...
This video came in so handy for me! I recently moved into a home that the previous owner had to leave when she went into a care facility.
We closed quickly so her children did leave some things behind. I have 12 wooden mismatched chairs in my tiny home! You have stirred my creative juices! My cats could use a cute tree! I’m going to try it and try some of your clever ideas! Thank you! Thank you! ❤️
Your channel is the most creative one, far apart from that "I paint everything white, distress it and am done" - mindset. So inspiring! I'm always looking forward to Tuesday. ;)
I agree, she is awesome
Agreed! So creative!!! 😃
I agree. This is the best channel
Agree!!
I Agree ,she is very creative .
You never cease to amaze! Great job! I can’t even pick a favorite. But I would love it if you do a reminder picture at the end including all of your projects so we could screenshot for future reference,
I don’t know how you do all these things but you amaze me everytime I watch you God Bless thanks 😊
You did my chair justice !!! Everything is lovely 💗💗
So nice to see a comment from the donor! 🙂
I get so excited when I see your new video's appear each Tuesday morning. I make myself a cup of tea, turn off my cell phone, and have 20 minutes of uninterrupted me time. I'm completely remodeling a cottage built in 1880, and you have provided me with such inspiration. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and creativity.
Oh, my goodness-an 1880’s cottage! What fun! I always thought I would live in an older home; however, sadly, the older homes in my city are in undesirable neighborhoods. Have a great week!🌼
@@CanterburyCottage this is often the case. One alternative it is to look in the country or a small village. That is what we did, and found a beautiful property alongside a century home.
I live in a cottage house originally built in the 1930s in Seattle. I inherited it from my dad. My dad totally remodeled it, but he did that back in the 60's. I only have a few grounded 3 prong outlets and that can be very frustrating. He didn't put even one electric outlet in either of the bathrooms. I don't envy you. Good luck with your remodeling. I do hope you are able to make it the home of your dreams.
All of these are absolutely beautiful. You put so much love and work into them.Great job.
Thank you so much, Judie!🥰
Your cleverness never ceases to amaze! It’s difficult to say which is my favorite; they were all just great. That little mirror and the hanging frame with the Salinger quote stand out though! 💛🤗
Thank you for all the great ideas, I have a box full of wood spindles.
Awesome waste not want not... God has blessed you with an amazing talent to see treasure where most see trash. Thank you for sharing with us! I like them all but my favorites are the foot stool, hanging frame, breakfast tray & mini vase hanging... I also love the cane projects you did . Looking forward to your next video.❤😊
“You can never get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me.” C S Lewis (my favorite book quote) I’ll try your suggestion on the frame stand with that for my book shelves! Great video, thanks Sherry
That’s a great quote!🥰
Love this!!
Wow, what great ideas.
That's one of my daughter's favorites. I like "I cannot live without books." by Jefferson. I feel exactly the same!
@@Lola-qu3ob
The Jefferson quote is one of my faves.
I have a small metal cup with that engraved on it, and it sits on a shelf amongst my books.📚❤
I also had a tshirt that said "When I get a little money, I buy books; and if any is left, I buy food and clothes."
~Erasmus
Love the foot stool,I always see broken furniture on the side of the road that people want to get rid of,these are all good ideas. Thank you
You are so creative!! I'm a fan of your channel and every week I'm excited to see another video.
I love these ideas! The whole concept of taking something and seeing how many things can be made from it. Super job on all of them!😍
Thanks so much, Anie! I am so glad you I liked it!🥰
Beautiful projects!!! My favorite is the plant stand 👍👍👍👍

You have such an amazing vision! To see all that in just one chair is remarkable. 🧡
Thank you so much, Christie!
Woe! That was so much fun to watch. I am looking around my house thinking..."hmmm what can I take apart and repurpose?". I love everything you did...but I am now in search of an old magazine rack to make a cute little breakfast tray! Thanks so much for sharing.
I loved each and everyone of these projects! Great use of an old chair!!😊
You are so creative. I know your mind must be going a hundred miles an hour all the time with ideas❤️
You just amaze me every time you always have the best ideals!
WOW everything you saved from the chair was made into something so useful, thank you for sharing. My favourite was the small chopping board holder.
Oh. My. Goodness!! This one video has given me so many ideas to repurpose the one and only dinging room chair left from my Mom’s original dining room suite. It is missing one arm and I didn’t know what to do with it. Now I do!!! Thank you!! ☺️❤️
What a wonderful thought ... if you have family members who'd like a momento of your Mom, you could make something for everyone, out of one chair! Especially good idea if the chair isn't in good shape but you can't bear to let it go... ❤❤❤
I love how you can see so many possibilities to repurpose things into! I always look forward to Tuesday’s🥰
I always look forward to Sherry's tutorial Tuesdays! What a great imagination you have, and the skill set to pull it off!
Oh, I love the footstool! The frame with the coat, the breakfast tray! Ok, so everything is beautiful!
You're amazing! Your vision for everything is spot on!
You are an excellent instructor. Love your ideas!
I made myself wait to watch this until I’d finished the housework.....ooh, it was worth the wait! Tomorrow, we are going to visit a friend who has some “bits from old furniture too good to throw away”. 😀 And now you’ve got my creative juices flowing very strongly. I especially love what you did with the caning and with the cabinet door plant trolley. ❤️👍
Ooh, I know this is an old comment, but I hope you got some good things from your friend!
I’m amazed every time I see what you create out of thrifted/gifted objects. I love every one of them! The mini cutting board hanger is so clever! Thank you for sharing so many ideas!
Absolutely love this channel. Thank you so much
I love how you repurpose all those parts you collect.
I just found you on line and I love how you let nothing go to waste. Great ideas !! Thank you
This was so helpful!! I always want to up cycle items but don’t have he vision, usually. I think taking an item and making multiple projects with that one item is a great way to teach my brain to have more vision. Thank you! Love your videos
Yes love your videos very refreshing and different from everyone else perfect!
I love how the things you have saved from other projects help complete these projects.
Thanks, Anne! It is hard for me to throw anything away-even a small wood scrap-which creates a storage problem. 😬
Wow, this are amazing projects and absolutely beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Enjoyed your video, your projects were very creative! Thank you
Awesome creativity... enjoyed watching...
I loved them all, I just wish there was a montage at the end showing all the projects one more time. I just didn't get enough of a look at them all. Thoreau would love this, he only had 3 chairs in his house one for him, one for a friend and one for society, and a quote from him was "I would rather sit on a pumpkin, and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion."
I really enjoyed watching all the creative things you made today, thank you
What great projects, you are so clever and inspiring. Time spent with you is time well spent.
Very creative! My Walmart has also discontinued the Waverly line. Im in So. California.
You;re so creative love them all.god bless love Ana..
Thank you, Sherry, for the excellent instruction, it's simply outstanding. I love your style!
I always get insperation from your videos and look forward to the next one! 💕
Loved, loved the plant stand especially! When you have large plants you really need those to move them. Usually the ones you buy at the store aren't sturdy enough, so this is perfect! I think I need to make 4! Lol! Thank you for all your hard work!
I've watched your video in small hours of the morning here in New Zealand as felt wide awake. Just loved all your clever ideas and everything looked adorable. I couldn't pick a favorite as they're all so good! ✨
You just blow my mind with every single video you make. Thank you for sharing your awesome talent with us. ❤️
Your ideas amaze me.
Great job!
Love the way your mind works. Great projects from that old chair!
Thank you ,I always learn something from you.🌸🌼
As usual an array of beautiful and practical ideas....from the most unusual beginnings - I'm so enjoying your channel!!
Great ideas . Nothing wasted!
You really outdid yourself on this one, Sherry! I'm going to have to go back & watch again because there are so many of these I want to try, I couldn't keep track! I've never liked word art but the quote in the little stand got me, it's not the usual "EAT" or whatever. Also love the foot stool with storage & a bunch of others. Thanks for your ingenuity!
Dear Sherry, your videos are absolutely addictive. Love to watch you work & I learn so many techniques I would never have tried. Thanks to you I am not afraid to be even more creative.
Amazing projects and information!! I read the other comments and agree with them al…THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!😀
WOW, You are Sooo Talented, Thank You.
I absolutely love this video! I can’t even choose a favorite. Your ideas are genius!
You have such great imagination. I think you should recover the footstool in a different material because it is really practical to use at home. I think my favorite item was the stand for the quote. You could also put a photo in it.
My favorite is the footstool, I’m keeping an eye out for all the items I need to recreate it.
Everything came out so beautiful that is such a great idea
Great repurposing. I am definitely going to be on the lookout for one of those magazine racks!!
Who would have thought that so many diy's could be done with an old chair. The sky''s the limit here. Love all the diy's. Oh so creative!
You have truly become one of my absolute favorite channels. Love everything you do. Thank you for all the amazing inspiration
You're so talented! Thanks 😊
If only for offering different takes on each part, this was enlightening! Blessed and safe days!
I don’t know how long ago this video was made, but I feel the need to tell you that it doesn’t matter, they are timeless. They have given me back my need to express myself. It has been a very long time, so thank you.
You are so welcome, Marsha! FYI I made this video last spring.
WOW! Love these ideas add will use them for my left over pieces.
Well, you definitely repurposed the chair! Lol. Great projects, loved them all❤️tfs
Love your videos Sherry! Keep them coming! Your creativity is contagious!
Thank you so much, Fran!🥰
This is recycling to another level. I love all of your great ideas. I also love the drapes behind you 😁💜
I love every project! I watched shaking my head in amazement.
😍 I loved all!! These chairs are cute!
I can never decide exactly which project you make I like the best. Everything turned out so fantastic. Thank you for sharing!
Your little mug rack will also make a great drying rack for herbs!
Your work that seems to be done entirely on the ground/floor kills my back to watch you. You deserve a work shop and at the very least a table
I also have sooo many broken chairs I want to repurposed. So thank you for lot's of great ideas! 💕
So many cute projects! My favorites were the sign with the quote and the cutting board rack but they were all great! Very interesting.
You get the “Creative Award” of the year…love them all!!!
Oh, thank you!😊
Thanks for making my Tuesday once again! The projects were great, as usual! ❤️
What a great idea to take the chair apart! Really love the chandelier! The wooden container with succulent candles is cool. And yes the cutting board holder is nice. If you find the boards become unwieldy you could hang coffee cups from it or even in your room hang jewelery. Spindles are a super foundation for creativity!
What great ideas, Joanne! You are so right about spindles. I still have some of the small spindles from the magazine rack, so I’m sure you’ll see them in a future video.
I came to see it from Japan again.
I am studying english now.
Your English is very easy to hear.
And DIY is also convenient.
You are my English teacher and DIY teacher😆😆😆
Thank you very much😍
Yay! I am so happy to help you learn English. I am a former high school English teacher (students 14-18 years old). Thank you so much for watching and commenting! 🥰
You really were a teacher!!
I was surprised😳😳😳
I'm not that young.
I'm looking forward to future videos❤️
Love all of these ideas. Exactly the kind of projects I enjoy doing.
I especially liked the hanging quote sign project! Thank you for sharing
I wish you had more videos! Your creativity is amazing! And so inspiring!
Great repurposed ideas. Thanks for sharing.
Quite a few years ago, I had a broken chair and I made a (for an 18"doll) doll bed for my granddaughter, she loved it.
I am amazed by your ability to make wonderful decorative pieces out of items I would think of as trash. You inspire me.
Love love love ur channel, it's sad that where I live the thrift store concept is non existent but I use my own things to change into other "cute" things Many blessings for u and fam and until ur next video.
Just amazing Sherry.
I just discovered your channel via your video of repurposing a broken chair! I am amazed at your creativity and ability to use every part of the chair in some way or another. I just got 4 old chairs from a curb, and was wondering what to do with them as I don't need any more chairs! They aren't too sturdy, so I think repurposing the pieces is the best idea! I'm glad to see someone who is closer to my age repurposing and using power tools! While the young gals are also creative, I like seeing somebody I can relate to! I've been a crafter/creator my whole life, but you RUclipsRS leave me amazed! Thank you for sharing your talents!
So creative! Can always find fresh, new ideas that we haven’t seen a thousand times before on your channel. You’re my favorite by far ❤️
Sherry!! Your imagination is astounding! I love, love, love all the things you made from a single discarded old chair….such a visionary you are. :) You’ve made me want to go piddle around in the garage to see what I can come up with from all my stash of goodies I seem to collect. Hee hee hee. I also think I’ll start informing my friends to think of me when they are getting rid of anything that might still have some life left in it. Thank you for such a fun start to my day! ❤️
Thank you, Melissa!🥰 Yes, friends can be a great source for free supplies! I am lucky to have a number of friends who are happy to give me their treasures!
@@CanterburyCottage Hi Sheri, yes, my local Walmart stopped carrying Waverly chalk products and replaced with Hello Hobby. I haven't used the new line yet.
Wow, all those lovely things from one chair!! I love all the things you make, they would cost so much in the shops. Thanks xxx
You are so creative. My mother passed a year ago (97 yo so not unexpected) and we are still in the process of cleaning out her house. She had so many thrifted items she had bought and had wanted to repurpose. Every time I find something broken of hers that I can see potential in my hubby just starts rolling his eyes. You have helped me envision so many great projects from her junk. Now if we ever get the house done I can work on the projects.
YOU TRULY ARE....
A CHARMING, CREATIVE, INSPIRING, AND VERY TALENTED ARTIST...
ABSOLUTELY LOVE WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS EACH AND EVERY WEEK...
THANK YOU FOR SHARING AND GOD BLESS...!!!!!!…🎨🏠🥳💪🌻❤️
