11 DIY High-End Home Decor Dupes Kirklands

- Опубликовано: 18 апр 2021
- I was inspired by all the beautiful high-end home decor during a recent visit to Kirklands; however, the prices were just so expensive. I decided to try to DIY/dupe eleven different Kirkland items using thrifted and Dollar tree merchandise. I think my versions look great at a fraction of the price. Some DIYers refer to this type of video as “the look for less.” I hope you get some new ideas to try in your own home!

Well, my tech issues continue! When I uploaded the video to RUclips yesterday, I set it to publish Tuesday morning as usual, but it published immediately and sent out a notification to my subscribers. One day, perhaps, I will make a video with absolutely no technical problems!
your conscientiousness is deeply appreciated! *
I think you’re doing just fine, much better than I could do! Another great video!
I enjoy all of your projects.
Awesome❣️You’re doing such a great job. Don’t worry about the tech aspect. You’re still learning. However, the projects are ALL-PRO!
Love your projects, They look better then Kirklands
Thank the Lord, finally a DIY scale that didnt involve a Dollar Tree plunger. 😌
I agree. Sick of cheap looking dollar tree projects.
I'm so impressed with your talented creations
Impressive to say the least! My personal favorites were the mini driftwood pieces and the beaded basket. But the necklace and mask were so spot on!
Sherry.... Sherry..... Sherry..... I love the way your mind’s eye sees possibilities in things that you have “on hand”. Like the sticks for the necklace. You knew to buy them for a future project. That tells me that your soul is creative. Period. Full stop. I see in your comment section that you don’t think you have any special “talents”. 🤨 I’m here to tell you as a thrift-flipping, superduper Duper, and all around Ms McGuyver YOU HAVE TALENT, boy do you and we are all here for it and you. No one is going to complain if you “publish” a day early, yet next Tuesday is so far away...... loved all your projects. 😍😍😍
You are so so so sweet! I am so glad that you are enjoying my videos, and I am ever so appreciative of your kind comments.☺️❤️ I wish I could make two videos per week like some RUclipsrs, but I don’t know how they find the time!
@@CanterburyCottage I can’t imagine you giving us 2 of this type of flips/dupes in one week Sherry. Truthfully the only way would be if you broke your 11 projects into 5 or 6 and published that way. Rather one 11 project break it into 2 5 or 6 projects. For me seeing the process of deconstruction, painting, reconstruction, embellishing is the part(s) I love. Then of course the final reveal and staging ideas. So that’s my 2 cents. Fewer projects, more how-to detail, then break it in two parts. 🤷🏼♀️🥰
Cheryl, that is an interesting suggestion. I am going to think about this. Thank you.🥰
I live with recurring depression and sometimes it drains interest from things I usually enjoy or takes away my ability to generate enthusiasm for new projects. Watching your videos allows me to
"craft vicariously" through you, when I lack the energy to do anything of my own. Also, your calm voice is really soothing.
Thank you, Hope! I have suffered from depression throughout my life. I am so glad that I can provide a pleasant distraction for you, but I do hope you are seeking some professional help. I saw a doctor, and I am so glad that I did.
@hope..... I've also had bouts of depression all during my adult life, so I totally understand. 😉❣️
Love the vase transformation and the beads basket.
I like the scale! All were amazing. I'm going to dupe the twine handle on my chipped pitcher. Thanks for the repair puddy idea!!

You are quickly becoming my favorite RUclips channel.
Yay! You just made my day!🥰
No way I can pick a single favorite Sherry, but I tend to gravitate towards nature. The drift wood pieces, basket, necklace and the vases/pottery are my top picks. Thanks for the inspiration Sherry🙂❤️
I’m so glad that you enjoyed the nature projects. I am drawn to natural objects, too! Thanks for watching and commenting!😀
I adore the Epsom salt vase! I have to try this! Thanks so much for all the great ideas.
The wood sculptures were amazing and yours was so much nicer
I love it all! I find it amazing what can be done for a fraction of the price. Thank you so much for waking up my creativity. The possibilities are boundless! Have a great day!
Thank you and you’re welcome! 😀 I’m so glad that I could give you some ideas to try for yourself!
You are such a talented and gifted lady ❤
LOVE those white and twine vases!
You are so creative and clever! I just love how you presented your unique ideas, tips and tricks. Plus your videos are visually pleasing and easy to follow. I’ve been making diy videos for a while but I know there is still so much to learn. I love the idea of making dupes on a budget. I’m happy to come across a talented creator like you. I’d love to learn more from each other.
You are so sweet! I’d be happy to share some ideas with you, and I’d love to hear your suggestions for my channel. I hope you’ll email me: canterburycottagepeoria@gmail.com
I’m so glad I found you! You are exactly my style and I LOVE your commentary!
“Ridiculously priced” 🤣🤣😆😆
Thank you, Amy! I am so glad you found me, too! 😀 Seriously, though, who is paying those prices?!
Joven n
"EVERY ONE OF YOUR "HIGH END" CREATIONS looked so much better and professional than Kirklands! Their prices were "ridiculous", My favorites were the white pitcher with twine around the handle and the white piece with twine around that handle. Thank you for sharing
I like your driftwood sculptures way better!!! How classy!!
The mask was much more beautiful the way you made it....the white vase ....the beautiful bowl....super well done
I’ve been watching your videos for some time now going back to your earlier videos. Love what you can create out of junk or scraps. So many from this video are my favs. Couldn’t list them all 🥰
I really loved them all. My favorite was the flower picture.
My favorite is the wood bowl and candel holder. Your so inspirational
Loved all your projects, very creative. My favorite one is the beads on the basket.
I loved the basket with beads and the last 3 wood stands.
I am mesmerized by you we bought a new house and you gave me so many ideas I am so happy I found you
Loved them all. Liked the pitchers and how they look better after the change.
Loved the Dupes, of course I believe yours are much better. Loved the wrapped twins in the pitchers and thanks for sharing the repair method. Good to know! The driftwood pieces were beautiful!
💜💜💜
The beaded basket is my favorite!
Beatifull colección with birds . Thank you. Have a beatifull afternoon
Oh my! Great dupes! I like the wooden mask and the wicker basket.
Thank you for sharing your incredible talent! Looking forward to the next one👌😍😍
Thank you so much, MUM!😊 I really appreciate you watching and commenting! This is an older video. I hope you’ll check out some of my newer videos!
These "dupes" are absolutely perfect. Thank you for sharing 🙇♀️
Glad you like them!
Loved the bird nests
Love your voice. Not too fast and not too slow.
I recently discovered you and I'm so glad I did. Your style is soooooo much like mine. Just about every piece of decor in my house has a story behind it - found in nature, thrifted and recreated, or built into something beautiful. I love the uniqueness these items bring to a space.
I am so glad you found my channel, too! Thanks so much for watching! 😀 It sounds like we are kindred spirits when it comes to our home decor!❤️
Always a pleasure seeing your projects!
Love the sculptures! Wow!
Everything you do turns out magnificent!
I can never pick a favorite!! You are so amazing!!!
A-1 job on the necklace sculpture.....my favorite dupe. Always enjoy your projects
Thank you so much! The necklace is not really my style but I did think it turned out cute.😀
I love everything you did on this video but my favorite was the beaded basket ❤️
I love all these dupes. 😍especially the drift wood.
Great video! I couldn't pick a favorite. You make it look so easy. Thanks for sharing your talents.
Thank you, Martha!😀 These projects were pretty easy. The hardest part was getting the dowel rod/curtain rod to fit snugly inside the ceramic candle stand and the large piece of driftwood!
The beaded basket is beautiful!!!! Love all the Kirkland dupes. Thanks for sharing.
You are so welcome! 😊 Thanks so much for watching! I really enjoy the challenge of duping high priced decor. I’m already thinking about what store I will target next.
The basket you attached the beads to and the dupe using the salad bowl are my favorite projects this week I like the natural look of the basket and beads ...... but maybe that’s because I’m drawn to costal decor and natural elements fit easily into my decor. Everything turned out great and I actually think the stand you used for the mask is more interesting than the Kirkland’s you’re so talented and skilled when it comes to up cycling from thrifted items thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas with us every week I look forward to next weeks video 👍🏻💕
Your creativity is off the charts❤❤❤❤❤
So enjoyed today's dupes. You nailed it sister. With your skills and tools you could build a house. Thanks for sharing these incredible dupes. I couldn't pick just one because I loved them all.
Just saw this, Edna! You are so sweet, but I am confident that I could not build a house!😜
Every of your ideas 💡 are realy pretty. I liked your colección, White and royal blue .I have pieces the same color. How glad to hear and see you, thanks for your teaching.I REALLY ENJOY . HAVE A BLESSED DAY.
You created amazing pieces of art using simple thrifted items into high end decore pieces saving tons of money. Well done n thanks for sharing dear God bless
Thank you so much!😊 That really mean a lot to me-that is the primary goal I had in mind when I started my channel!
I love these projects.
Beautiful dupes! Amazing how they came together.
I love them ALL!!!
Excellent projects and demonstrations! Thank you for your concise presentations.
My fav is the scale! ❤️❤️❤️
These dupes are so pretty, I think I loved the beaded basket and the vase with the epsom salt! But everything was so clever and gorgeous!
Thank you, Janet!😊
So much style here!
I love the bottle with epsom salt idea and the idea of using a faux bird and bird nest in the little wood round. I love birds too (as well as all animals) and will be trying this project for sure. The wood projects are also so creative although masks are kind of creepy to me but a lot of people love them and even though that was my least favorite of all, it was still so creative and I'm sure gave some others great inspiration.
My fave is the basket with beads around the edge
Truly fabulous dupes! The frame grouping was definitely my favorite as I collect vintage frames and could see myself doing some version of it.
they were all beautiful
This is wonderful. Thanks so much
I love the basket and scale
All of your projects turned out awsome. I liked yours better than the high priced ones. My favorite was the scales. You did a fantastic job on all of them. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! You are too nice, Linda!😊 I was pleased with how the scale turned out, too. I didn’t have a spot for it, or I would have kept it.
Wow..... done perfectly!
Thank you. That is so kind!😊
What a great video. Mam you are so talented. I am very proud of you that at this age you can do better than big box stores can do. I am amazed.
Love the drift wood
I so agree that Kirklands is so pretty and expensive! Ty for these Dupes!
You are so welcome! I will keep going to Kirklands for ideas (but I probably won’t buy much)!😜
Beautiful!!!
Love love love your work.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!😊
Amazing to see how close, and even better, your dupes are compared to the inspiration pieces! I agree with you. Who indeed would pay such astronomical prices? I understand not everyone is creative or handy with crafting or tools and if they have the money, and love an item,, that's that. It's just fun to DIY and save money.
Yes, part of the fun of crafting is saving money (even if we spend a lot on crafting supplies😜)!
Every piece was so gorgeous.❤
Thank you so much, Carla!🥰
I love the scales you made I prefer yours .
I liked the frames with the little bottles and the daisy plaque most
Love this!
They were all beautiful. My favorite is the first one, with the wood biscuits as flowers. I absolutely am going to recreate that...when I get the wood biscuits.
I’m so glad you are going to make one!😀 I included an Amazon link to the biscuits. They are cheaper on Amazon than at Lowe’s (which is where I purchased mine). Be sure to let the first layer of petals dry overnight before sanding off the embossed design, so the sander doesn’t accidentally detach them. Do the same with the second layer. Enjoy!
@@CanterburyCottage Thank you. I absolutely lived that.
BRILLIANT! Every one of them!
Thank you! You’re so kind!😊
I was totally blown away by your dupes! Thank you for sharing your projects!
Everything came out just as nice, some even better than the original Kirkland’s object d’ arts! You’re one crafty lady! I absolutely love your Channel! ♥️👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
WOW....new to your channel.....love everything you made.....when I was working I was rather stupid buying items from the higher end stores....now that I am poor...lol...I am going to try and make them....all that money just wasted.....thank you so much for showing your beautiful creations....ohh bless you for not putting bows.
Your dupes are amazing. Thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching!😀
I loved them all!
Great ideas!
I don’t know if I love any best! I love them all! Beautiful! ❤️
Thank you so much, Terry!😊
Beautiful.
Loved all your dupes!
Loved all your projects!!!❤
Fabulous dupes!!!❤❤
So fun. Love your imagination.
Thank you, Carol! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!😀
Great job!
Wow they look great good ideas think you for sharing
You never disappoint. I plan on duping your cupboard front decoupage. Thanks for sharing
It's so hard to choose a favorite....I love them all. You make everything look so easy...thank you again for sharing your talent and your beautiful treasures with us.
Thank you-you don’t have to pick a favorite! 😜 I don’t think that I am particularly artistic, so I do believe that viewers can replicate my projects fairly easily. I hope you’ll try a few! 😀
Your dupes are the best!
I loved them all!! Great job.👍🏾
Wow! So creative. Loved them all.
And btw, I love your voice, so soothing to listen and to get a peek into your creative process.
I'm always looking to thrifted stuff into anthropology-style art and design showpiece treasure. I'm probably gonna try to make a fully functioning necklace in the style of the one you just duped, and I can see a found mask in a stand like that being a stellar sunglasses of hat "head" on a dresser. You're inspiring me to take a stab at those stump statues most of all. I'm sure with enough time I could gather the right statues to display in them. Chrome? Copper? Wood? What a great way to highlight the beauty of small things.
ADORE each and every project in this video. love love love
Thank you so much, Jayme! So nice of you to say!🥰
I wish I had half of your talent.
Thanks! I don’t think I have any special talent, just ideas. I think, as with everything, the more we do something, the easier it becomes. 😀
Wow! What wonderful duplicates! Actually, I preferred all of yours especially the basket/bead project and the driftwood art pieces! Thanks for the inspiration. You are so easy to follow and your projects are always so budget friendly. I appreciate that so much! Take care Sherry! :-)
You are too sweet, Mercedes! 🥰 Thank you so much for all the kind comments! I really appreciate you watching and leaving such nice feedback! 😀
