You can add an valve inline to throttle the drain flow. This will allow for a steady pump.
Turn your sink on at full flow. Adjust the drain valve until the pump stays on instead of short on/off bursts. Given today's quality of motors/pumps etc.. By not constantly switching on/off, it should add a little lifespan to your pump.

That's a lot quieter than I thought it would be

You have mounted the unit on a piece of plywood that is hollow beneath and if you put a 1/2 sheet of rubber under it, the noise would be a lot less. Try this simple test with your cell phone. Put it on a hollow box and play music and then add a piece of rubber or foam between the phone and box to see how much it deadens the sound.

Did you? If so, how is it working out?

@@smattt I didn’t buy the Saniflo after all and happy I didn’t. We had one installed where I worked and it broke down within 6 months not worth the money for the life span in my opinion.

Hi, i have 3 questions, 1 - Is the vent can be a non-connected (under the sink vent) ?
2, the discharge pipe can be 1inch pipe ?
3, is there a filter to prevent food remain to block the whole thing?
    greate review! thanks.

Is the small hole at the top left supposed to stay open or filtered? This device is stinking up my basement and that hole is the only visibly open part of the system.

I'm from S.E. Wisconsin. Would you install one of these in your home? I want to put in a basement shower and have less than 15' of travel to get rid of the water so the sanivite sounds legit....however, I didn't hear what you were saying about the plug issue that was broken. Please reply. Thanks for the video

Another Wisconsinte! I would put one of these in my house. I dont think this is the correct unit for a shower tho. Saniflo offers different pumps for different uses. I would reach out to them directly and see what they recommend.

@Steven Janus there is a saniflo sanishower however your shower needs to be above ground, there is the saniflo sanifloor where you can have a level walk in shower.

Hey Russ. I have one in my kitchen. After some use it has developed a smell. I think from some organic waste getting through drain and maybe a little oil/debris that collects, hardens and stinks. I’ve been rinsing through with vinegar which seems to help but not a letmanent solution. Do you have any suggestions yourself or find a solution?

@@bobbooooooo no support for this companies product, i have tried installing the vent direct to the outside , and bypassed the sewer vent , wrapped the whole unit in a bag , i believe it is (off gassing) , what ever kind of plastic the unit is made of is releasing that smell after it is installed and mixed with waist . i cannot recommend SANIFLO to any of my customers any more , my uncle had one in his basement and it is 15 yrs old no smell , the 2 that i have in a basement sanivite and a saniflo , oh they stink
