Oh boy! I hear your frustration but, and thankfully you’re OK, you did learn something from this. The hard way, but you learned. And who knows how many people you may have helped by posting this. Always good to scout something or somewhere out ahead of time if it’s an unknown area. What an awesome photo too! Love your videos, keep them coming and be safe!
As long as everyone is safe, you vehicle isn't wrecked, and it didn't cost too much time or money, you are good! Just learned a valuable lesson for the other 50 or so 14ers. And you live in Colorado! Call me next time, I live in Roxborough. You got this!
I feel your pain. These things are sent to try us but you are strong and you will succeed. Keep up the good work and that Milky Way pic made it still worthwhile.
I hear you about driving in snow. I always carry a shovel and have never so far gotten so stuck I could not dig myself out. Sometimes it took awhile but it is a good way to keep warm. Hang in their.
Oh frack, that sounds like a scary experience. Thanks for sharing it anyway though! Keeps it real. Be careful out there and hope for better luck next time!
If everyone expected everything to go right all the time then No One would have this hobby or profession. Hang in there - I actually enjoyed the episode - rather listen to your rants then my own.
Hey man, lessons learned. It wasn't a failure, you just found an approach to the project that doesn't work. Know you can move forward more knowledgeable than before. Keep at, the images are looking great.
Dude! My heart goes out to you and just by the tone of your voice and the look on your face, I could feel your frustration and pain. I’m sure most in this hobby have had nights when absolutely nothing goes as planed and it sucks big time, but one day, you’ll have your grandkid on your knee, share this story and have a good laugh over it. Clear skies m’friend!
...and I was feeling sorry for myself because we have so much cloudiness here when the comet is supposed to be closest to the earth. I enjoyed the report, and happy you're OK.

Lesson learned. Realistic is great. Glad you are safe!
One more chapter in the journey of life!!!!
Good, bad and ugly makes for a better story! Keep going! You got this!
Good rant! Thanks for update. Hang in there Alex.

Like you said, "Welcome to Colorado!" Glad you're OK
It was a good reminder that I need to make smarter choices.
Well, now you know where to go to grab the image, so not a waste of time, and it makes for interesting watching.
Way to go! Perseverance pays off usually. Nice selfie, I love it!
I called it my astro therapy session

Glad you made it out safely! Great image at the end too! loved seeing the 'behind the scenes stuff' include the 'bloopers' too maybe?
Bloopers could be good

Yikes! OK, from now on, don't go anywhere without a shovel and a day or two's worth of food & cooking propane etc.
YEP! I was fairly prepared. I had a shovel if needed and a good bit of food and water.
But still. This was eye opening
