Unfortunately no. I am also assuming, you are also talking about the quest. To some degree, the quest "does work" with lighthouse sensors since the cameras on the headset are infrared, so you can play in the dark supposedly. I personally, have never tested it but I have tested to see if it recognizes the infrared light on my iphone and it does work! Hope this helps!
I personally can't test any of these out until the weekend because the other pc and htc vive is at a different location. My understanding, though, is that there isn't a solution available to do so, however, with that being said, there are potentially two solutions... 1) disable haptics json in the steam app directory per each game, 2) disable the haptics in the Steam VR app directory controller json files which could affect global (all) settings for haptics... typically the json files will be automatically created. for potential solution 2), If you are feeling confident about your abilities, you can navigate to \\Steam\STEAM\steamapps\common\SteamVR\drivers\htc esources\input where you will find a file called vive_controller_profile.json make a copy of that file in the same directory (just in case you run into issues). You can open the file in notepad or another text editor. Locate (also delete the comma before it ",") and delete it: "/output/haptic" : { "type" : "vibration", "binding_image_point" : [ 66, 59 ] } Again I haven't tested it and haven't played around with the json files in a long time. I don't know what the results are going to be. I will investigate further over the weekend. If you are not comfortable with manipulating files, I would highly recommend NOT doing this. Keep me posted []-)
From the reddits: Try doing SteamVR -> Device -> restart headset (it is not the same as just restarting the app btw). If it doesn't work, try steamVR -> Settings -> Developer -> Remove all steamVR usb device and then pair your controllers
I'm not sure what you exactly mean, but you can walk within the confines of the play space as it is usually represented as a teal grid as you get closer and closer to the border. We do have a video that describes just that: ruclips.net/video/8_cZSh3LY7I/видео.html. Hope it's helpful and if you have an hmd, enjoy!
the oculus controllers are much better than the htc ones i tried because i own a oculus headset i tried my friends htc vive headset but i didnt really like it because its really hard to use and it looks like a THICK stick

@@justandrew6230 The great thing is that you are going to get a lot of mileage with your Quest 2. It's an unconventional controller. My personal opinion is that on a design perspective, they wanted to keep it ambidextrous, so that it would be simpler to manufacture/easy to replace so that there would be less sku units and to "free up" using other fingers to reduce complexity. Over time, the designation to have controllers specific to each hand makes more sense and having traditional game controls make it easier for the end user. I found that it's actually quite intuitive since it's supposed to mimic gripping something... This is before the finger tracking became a thing. That's my opinion. Thanks for the comment!
Hi Origami, great to receive your feedback on the controllers. It's definitely had mixed reviews where some people like it and some don't. I do hope the video was helpful for you, though. Happy Holidays and enjoy VR []-)!
Do you know what's funny, I learned what convex and concave are from this guy for my geometry class.
