I've owned all of them and honestly prefer the 850. A bit more key travel and the slope just creates a nice cushiony typing experience. Yet it's the least known/respected one.

Great video! Only thing I disagree with is the typing speed. Since you are very used to the mx keys and the exact placement of the keys, you are of course faster on it. It'd be interesting to use a few people that havent used any of these keyboards before.

Hey, thanks for your comment. Yes I think given time and practice you'll probably get fast on any keyboard. Having said that at the time of recording this video, I had never used the Mx keys before. It really was my first typing experience on the keyboard. So I think the reason for that is because it's probably the closest to a regular sized keyboard and also the keys are low profile which is something I'm used to as well. I think the mk850 was the only keyboard out of the box that needed the most getting used to due to its unit design. Let me know which keyboard your currently using and if you are considering any of these options?

I've used a couple keyboards including the mx keys. I prefer the cherry low profile keyboard. Cherry apparently makes keyboards😊

@@productivitycorner I'm actually using a wired one, but I was wondering what the difference between the MX Keys and the K850 is. Now I'm waiting for the Black Friday offers to buy a MX Keys. 😁 Thank you

Mx keys is a fantastic choice. I've using it as my daily for over 2years and still love it. I've tried loads of keyboards but keep coming back to this. Black Friday coming up soon so hopefully you don't have to wait much longer now! Let me what you think once you've got it.

in my opinion the winner clearly win for your scenario.. but this is how to look in other way..
    1. MK850, budget choice which will get you multi- device mouse and keyboard.
    2. K780, more compact and stylish keyboard that can be use to travel.
    3. MX, full equipped technology a keyboard can possibly ever have in one piece.

Hey Hafiz, thanks for comment! Yes I think that's a very good way at ranking the keyboards as well. Out of interest, do you use any of the keyboards on the list or do you have a different one?

@@productivitycorner currently I'm using k380.. which is shorter version of k780.. I found the rounded keycap makes me easier to mistype.. I'm looking forward to use MK850.. I need multi device mouse but MX Master 3 is way beyond my budget..

    • @productivitycorner
      @productivitycorner  2 года назад +1

Ah yes the k380 was a good choice but like you said very similar to the k780 so I went for the k780 as it's definitely worth the integrated stand and it's still compact enough to carry around in your bag. In terms of mouse, I've owned the Mx master keys but found it a bit too big to work with and not all the extra buttons are compatible with all apps especially note taking apps. I personally would recommend the Logitech M720 Triathlon mouse. amzn.to/3JbxaYt it supports 3 devices and not too expensive. I've been using it for over a year and love it. I'll be doing a video on it soon. It also has the multi device button on the top rather than underneath the mouse so if you are frequently switching between devices then you don't have to keep lifting the mouse up just to switch to a different device. And because it's Logitech, you can still get all the benefits of the Logitech software. Let me know what you think

@@productivitycorner you're right.. MK850 comes with M720.. at my place M720 cost about 50 dollars and MK850 and MK850 for 65 dollars.. i think MK850 is bargain considering 15 dollars for the keyboard.. as for my needs and budget, MK850 kinda the best.. currently I'm using the k380 with pebble mouse (m350).. i could be grateful with what i have right now, but the mouse can only connect with 2 device..

Yes definitely get a 3 device compatible mouse if you already have a 3 device supported keyboard because you can turn on the Logitech software flow feature. This will allow to use 3 PCs as 1 without having to switch between devices manually by clicking the button. And it will switch both your keyboard and mouse automatically. You can also copy paste files between the 3 PCs so will definitely improve your productivity by saving time.

I don’t like a iso enter key as when I touch type I misclick the /| key when I use a us keyboard with a ansi key I don’t misclick

Bud you are not used to the MK 850 keyboard shape. Practice on it. I can do 90 plus words a minute on it but i've been using it for a while. My laptop is the style of the mx. I can do the same 90 words per minute on it also... Familiarity with the keyboard and time is the only way to judge speed. When i first started using the MK 850 I was doing about 65 - 70 words per minute because i was used to a flat keyboard style. The Mk 850 is much more comfortable for long days on a keyboard.

Hi Pete, that sounds great 👍 I'm impressed that you managed to get 90 wpm on the mk850! I do agree with you that given enough time, practice and familiarity with the keyboard, you'll increase your typing speed eventually. It really does come down personal preference and it's really good to see that you've managed to stick with the mk850 and have success with it. What mouse are you using with the mk850 btw? And have you ever used the flow feature that Logitech software offers? I've been using it recently with varying degrees of success.

that point is moot when you have to switch between working from home and working from office where there's a different keyboard and is not curved. IT just wont order this. best to stick to a standard keyboard.

Sure don't like the bulky 850. And no backlight. My box didn't have a manual or cord. What's up?

Not sure why there is no instructions manual but it's a wireless keyboard so should be relatively easy to setup. What are you having issues with?
