His getaway from the line was poor but that happens even to very experienced drivers sometimes... that is something that can easily be fixed and worked on.
What is impressive is how quick and clean he is, and also making sure he stays out of danger. Take 0:12 for example, obviously backing out was the best thing to do and any experienced driver would do that. But many rookies are a bit too risky and maybe would have kept their foot in it there and ended up being pished off the track and then moaned about not being given space when they should have just backed out anyway and save their own race.
Impressive debut, cant wait to see more of him!

      This.
Yuki really impressed me the most out of anyone in the recent years. Only one Year of F3, only one year of F2. Competetive in both, even being P3 in the end in F2. And now this - in a really strong looking Alpha Tauri. Mark my words, he'll get one - if not even more Podiums this year. He needs a tiniest amount of time to get used to a car, as seen in Q1 where he just blasted to P2, and after some bad luck in Q2 such a recovery drive. He already has enough confidence as a driver as you can see by his late braking in Turn 1.
Definitely World Champion material for the future. I can't wait to see him fighting for titles with Russell, Norris, Schumacher & co.
