      @AffordableJewellerySupplies I bought a book and there are videos out there but the real issue is if people are willing to pay for your work and or if they value it. 🤔 I think craft fairs are good as is Amazon in limited as they tend to fee you to death so you have supplies, creating, making, taxes, fees, and in the end for myself, it's better to see it as therapy rather than a living. I would starve if I had to rely on my Art. 😉😘

    • @The_Stylish_Maker
      @The_Stylish_Maker  7 месяцев назад

      Thank you, Lesa. I most often use a 20 gauge half hard wire for most components that I make. If you struggle with a 20 because it's a little thick, you can go down to a 22 gauge. If I am making wire wrapped loops I sometimes use a 24 gauge or a 26 gauge but I would never use those gauges for a simple loop. I hope that helps. What is the best wire thickness to use (in mm) when you make something like the loop earrings here?
    Is it necessary to buy jump rings, or can I just bend them from the same wire?

      @The_Stylish_Maker  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Rebecca, I generally use a 20 gauge (0.813) or 21 gauge (0.737) half hard German style wire for making loops. If they are wire wrapped loops I go with the 22 gauge usually as it's a bit easier for me to manipulate. You can absolutely make your own jump rings. You just need a bail shaping plier like this one: amzn.to/4cheDZf

      Hi Jacqui, thank you so much. We have negotiated postage rates with a new courier, we are just waiting for them to hook up their system to ours so we can start sending again. Must say, it's been a frustrating process. I will post on the community tab when we restart and also, if you sign up for our emails, you will be notified as soon as we start again. We honestly can't wait. Thanks for your support and your patience. Carol

    Hi Carol, where can I order the supplies you used to make these earrings. They are very nice.

      Hi Cheryl, you can order from us, however we have suspended our international shipping. It should be back up in the next few days. We've had so many issues with the couriers and international parcels going missing that I wanted to make sure that we got it right. If you sign up for our newsletter using the subscribe at the bottom of the home page, I'll let you know when we start shipping internationally again. Thank you. Here's a link to the blog post that contains links to everything. www.affordablejewellerysupplies.co.nz/blogs/beading-projects/make-earrings-in-just-five-minutes

    Thank you for your clear and concise videos,.... The only critique is the music in the background, I have anxiety around music so it was very off putting, I had to watch with subtitles. 😬🙉

      Thank you Vikki. I actually watched a video about how we all need to watch movies with subtitles this last weekend. It's interesting. It apparently comes down to the device we're watching on a lot of the time and how it delivers the music/voice part of the sound track.

    Great tutorials! I've been practicing wrapping the tops of my teardrop beads, but they keep squeezing upward. The smallest gauge wire I have is 24, so I'm not sure if it's too far, I'm wrapping too tight, or both! 😂

    • @The_Stylish_Maker
      @The_Stylish_Maker  Год назад +1

      Thank you. It shouldn't make any difference what gauge wire you use. 24 gauge is fine. It may be that you're wrapping too tight. Do they move during the making process or when you are wearing them?
