Thank you, Lesa. I most often use a 20 gauge half hard wire for most components that I make. If you struggle with a 20 because it's a little thick, you can go down to a 22 gauge. If I am making wire wrapped loops I sometimes use a 24 gauge or a 26 gauge but I would never use those gauges for a simple loop. I hope that helps. What is the best wire thickness to use (in mm) when you make something like the loop earrings here? Is it necessary to buy jump rings, or can I just bend them from the same wire?
Hi Rebecca, I generally use a 20 gauge (0.813) or 21 gauge (0.737) half hard German style wire for making loops. If they are wire wrapped loops I go with the 22 gauge usually as it's a bit easier for me to manipulate. You can absolutely make your own jump rings. Great tutorials! I've been practicing wrapping the tops of my teardrop beads, but they keep squeezing upward. The smallest gauge wire I have is 24, so I'm not sure if it's too far, I'm wrapping too tight, or both! 😂
Thank you. It shouldn't make any difference what gauge wire you use. 24 gauge is fine. It may be that you're wrapping too tight. Do they move during the making process or when you are wearing them?

You buy them pre-made. You can make them but that's not really for beginners. Here's a link to some. amzn.to/3WUxl1L
I think those type of earrings went out in the 50's
Thank you for your comment, Heidi. Each to their own.
@@The_Stylish_Maker when I'm making them! They turn out so ugly I never get to wear them 😂😂😂
@@FlourishGiftShop I'm so sorry. It it really just practice. I wasn't particularly happy with mine when I started either. And remember, you are your worst critic. Ask someone else if they think they are OK.
Can you tell me where you get twist bales. Have looked on Amazon and Temu with no result.
Hi Mary, we sell them in our shop. Unfortunately the place I purchase them from is a wholesaler. You could try Fire Mountain Gems if you don't want to buy them from us. There's a link in the description box to a blog post which contains all the links and step by step instructions for each of these projects.
Thank you for the video. Would you please tell where would be a good place to purchase, especially the beads, but everything???
Hi, thank you. There is a link in the description box to a blog post where you can find everything (also below). We have temporarily suspended international shipping due to a problem with our courier company but we have found a new one and are just putting the finishing touches on getting that back up and running.
