In my experience that doesn’t really work. If you can snipe something during the end of season sales then sure. What’s left after that are usually the scraps nobody wants. Just my opinion.
I'm definitely calling that 2023 is the year of sleek and low-profile sneakers, in contrast to the previous years of chunky and bulky shoes. I've been styling these types of shoes and they work surprisingly well with some outfits. Great Video as usual, Harry. And your cat dashing across You at 4:40 is absolutely adorable!
I've been binge watching your channel for the past week and honestly you have opened my eyes a little about the way I've been spending my money on clothes. I'm definetely taking the quality over quantity route. I have a lot of pieces yet 0 versatility. I live in a tropical island so everyone looks somewhat the same in what they wear. Especially in the "street clothes style". I'm 6 feet tall and weigh about the same as you so I'll definetely take a lot of inspiration from you. I'm even saving up for those Issey Miyake pants. I just think they look really cool. And also investing in a neutral color wardrobe. Your channel is just very down to earth and you seem like a cool guy. Keep up the good work!!!
Other day I picked up a new pair of chinos from Banana Republic. Usually $100, snagged for $23, and a $129.00 windbreaker for $17.00. Banana makes some quality clothes. I’m 21 and recently wore my outfit which was my junior year prom outfit (from Banana Rep.) still fits and looks sharp!
The Nike x Tom Sachs General Purpose Shoe is the one for me this year. More versatile than New Balances (for my style), more comfortable than the Tigers or Gazelle (on my feet). Glad to see the Onitsuka's coming back in style after 10 years, I guess fashion is cyclical. Not sure if Asics is going to be super mainstream but since the main draw is that they're basically a comfortable version of the Tigers it makes sense if they blew up if the Tigers do.
Another pair I feel to be criminally underrated are blazer lows in non-white colorways. Had a black pair since 2017 and a green pair since 2014, some of my most worn shoes of all time
Reeboks, Adidas, and the Asics have always been staples for me. But lately, I've been looking at the White Blazers. I've never been a fan of the Blazers, especially high tops, but the white ones look so good.
I have the new balance xc-72 and I love them, comfortable enough for walking or standing and not a lot of people wear it. Definitely unique, they're a bit pointy though I did get them in tts because I have a wide feet. For anyone with a narrow feet get a half size down
I have yellow Kill Bill Tigers/Asics and black & white Mexico 66 in low and mids from a year of two ago. Not overhyped, still reasonably priced and have street cred. Black with white stripes easy to match and neither too casual or too serious.
I've been using Nike Air Max a lot in recent years, but I'm back to using the sneakers I wore as a teenager. The Converse All Star. I stopped using them over the years because I found them uncomfortable, however I discovered the Chuck 70 and now everything has changed and I have already bought a lot of pairs. I'm not sure if I'm in fashion, but I feel super good with them. I even bought the Hike Run Star lol I think it's going to be the brand I'm going to use the most this year without a doubt
You are a legend for choosing the the two "grossest" new balance shoes. I was almost mad that I chose the XC-72's over the 550's (sucks being broke and making hard choices). But sublimanally, I had noticed that the 500's were absolutely everywhere and I have yet to see one pair of XC-72'S in the city of Hamburg since they have come out. Needless to say I am desperatley awaiting the first sunny spring day to debut theses bad boys (all white summer fog/nimbus cloud not so good in winter). Thanks for helping me realize I actually made the right choice! Also the Reebok Workout Plus are bonkers.. thanks Harry
Me who just purchased two pairs from Cole Haan. A little bit dressier and still very comfortable compared to the many Reebok and Onitsuka that I already own.
I think Diadora really go under most sneaker heads radar, but if you know of the quality for price then they are incredible value especially the 'made in Italy' Diadora. I been wearing my Diadora - Valanga Azzura (MiI) and I think I got those for about £50 and they are just stunning. I don't know if they are even available anymore though tbh as I bought them about 3/4 years ago and just started wearing them this summer.
Sometimes I have no idea about the kind of clothes you're talking about but the presentation and cleanness of your videos makes them all the more enjoyable.
Onitsuka rocks. Mexico 66 has the best built and comfort I've ever seen especially on such a low flat profile. The leather is glove like. Kayano 14 and Gel Lyte II are also amazingly well built and comfortable. And bad ass looking
My sneaker rotation nowadays consists of Nippon Made Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 all black, Puma SpeedCats black with white stripe, and Adidas Sambas black with white stripes. I definitely like a more minimalistic silhouette.
I'm STILL undecided on whether I should grab the Onitsuka's or the Samba's.. This video mayyy have pushed me towards the Onitsuka's haha - Great stuff mate 🙌🏽!
Definitely looking at getting the Mexico 66 over a pair of Sambas. The silhouettes are similar enough, but something about the Onitsukas feel more nostalgic. Also, I think it's worth mentioning the new balance 327's. Got a pair myself and really love them.
Ooo get em. You won’t regret it. Onitsuka Tiger has been a staple on or off season for more than a decade for me. They have an interesting history that’s worth looking into (see Cortez vs Corsair). Also, Ultimate 81s are super comfortable, but the profile of Mexico 66 looks better.
If you haven’t got a pair yet definitely go for it and if you have a bit of extra money to spend I would definitely recommend the nippon made ones they’re just amazing!
The “Kill Bills”. 👌🏾 I had the Tigers in College with the white/red/blue. Such a great classic colorway. I bought the GSMs last Spring in white, withe cream and sage green detail (stripe). Only wore them once or twice but thanks to your video I think I will bring them outta the archives this year! Another banger video 👌🏾 🔥 PS. Honorable mention to my SAMBAS phase for 2001-2005. 😎. Still such a sleek silhouette PPS. I’m a big Anime fan. So both ur NBs picks work great for me! Super futuristic and cool on the foot.
My brother had a japan exclusive onitsuka tiger shoe, it was a red black colorway with most of it being white. It jad a sort of gold tag on the backheel of the shoe. Def the dopest onitsuka tiger i've seen
I would like to see on your channel a video about black leather sneakers, boots and loafers, especially the Lemaire Piped leather loafer that few people in Europe is talking about
I had a pair of GSMs that lasted me close to three years of regular wear. They’re quite comfortable too, especially for a leather court shoe. Best sneakers I’ve ever owned. Highly recommend.
@@oscarruiz455 I have average width feet and they offered enough room without feeling too loose. They also stretch out slightly as you break them in, given that they’re leather.
Hi bud, glad you picked /// spezials but do you not know about the spezial drops twice a year there's so much more to spezial range than you think check I out
ASICS Gel Lyte III, Air Jordan 3, New Balance 2002R, Air Jordan 4 SB, Ultra Boost 1.0 or 4.0 models, Nike Air Max 1 (leather or suede uppers, not that cheap mesh)
Sizing recommendation for the Adidas specials? Internet is giving me some weird recommendations. Best fitting sneaker for me are reeboks c85 with EU size 43, also running 43 in Old Skool Vans.
I guess I'll considered an OG here. I had a forest green 'Adidas Handball Spezials' but sold it eons ago, in fact it was the first shoe that I took good care and stored in a collection, picked it up in the late 1990s. The 'Asics Mexico 66' are nice but caution, slippery on different surfaces (I heard stories about accidental slippages), I had the birch/green/red colorway. A notable yet classic and timeless mention for me is the 'Reebok club c 85', classic and clean with more inner cushion, I have it in my collection today, it's also more comfortable than the others I mentioned, although not as low of a profile. Good video yet again!
I wore a pair of onitsuka tiger sneakers in high school ~’05-‘06, but now I just bought some Feiyue’s as an alternative cuz I don’t wanna go back in time.
I bought more GAP clothes in 2022 than I have my whole life lol. They keep having sales that cross with each other, leading to some good opportunities to snipe some of their nicer expensive stuff for 65%-75% off. One of my favorite pieces was an all corduroy varsity jacket that retailed for $128 that I got for around $48. I got so much wear out of it the last half of 2022 that I doubled up on it and copped a second one to stash away during their end of season sale for just $16 💀
Great video, as always! I’m going on holiday and don’t have much space in my bag. So I’m looking for a versatile trainer that can work for most situations. Do you think there are any good running trainers that you could get away with wearing as day-to-day casual trainers?
Hi Harry! What do you think about Autry sneakers? Here in Italy they’re considered both popular but not mainstream and are having a really good success
In my city the onitsukas are already everywhere. Spot on with your prediction. 😁👌🏻 Also i was wondering what your wearing for going out to clubs. Could maybe be a idea for a video. Would like to know your take on it, as i sometimes struggle with it.🤔
Personally not a fan of the Ugg guards but it goes to show how much influence celebrities have. Bella Hadid wore Uggs in public once and now everyone likes them.
I’ve been wearing Sambas for over 20 years since I was in high school. I stopped wearing them years ago because of the tongue squeak. The other day I saw them sitting on my shoe rack and decided to bust them out again. I found a video on how to get rid of the squeak (shoe polish) and wore them on Sunday. They looked and felt great with no squeak. I’ll definitely be adding them back in to my rotation.
Wow, they used to not squeak and it has definitely turned me off wearing my newer pair. Thanks, I didn't even know you could get rid of it, I will be doing that now
I bought those patch stone island crews and hoodies and honestly their the best purchase I’ve made they’re so good and also some ami crews and cardigans
Beckett Simonon Morgan trainers are highly recommended, I have a pair and they're a great GAT and have a lot of promotions so I snagged it for just 99$.
Love all the Adidas sneakers, going to be a big year for them in general I reckon! Nice varied list as well, bit of something for everyone here. Also I think we have the same cat lol... british shorthair?
I will probably wear my Onitsuka Tigers GSM the most in spring and summer. Other sneakers that will get lots of wear time: - Nike Blazer (burgundy swoosh) - ConverseAllstar - ASICS Gel Lyte 3 - New Balance 997 - Diadora N9000 - Vans Oldskool I have no reason in adding a new pair to my collection this year as I am really happy with my collection
My favorites there are the Asics, Gazelles, Spezials (I also prefer those to Sambas) I like the Onitsuka Tigers and NB's (I'm more of a 990 head) but they're not really my style. Great video as always. What's great is that most of these sneakers are affordable. I'm done with paying crazy resale prices for fancy collabs.
Keep up with the quality videos Harry! Maybe you could do a 2022/2023 favourite pickups video? Would be interested in some of your recent favourites - it seems like you’ve been wearing Ronning (the cargos) a lot too!
a bold no to all the sneakers in this video for me haha.. i don't see a reason to buy just because they are becoming popular. btw a great video as always Harry!
Never said you should buy them because they are popular. I said these are all classics that have or will stand the test of time. Even when the trends die out. Thanks for watching bro
Your gsms seem a lot more comfortable than the Mexico’s. I was one click away from picking up a pair 2 months back. But then I thought these are not going to be too comfortable with the thin sole. I call them 2hr shoes. I must be getting older. I choose comfort. Amazing video 👍🏼
It's cheaper to buy "out of season" clothing and shoes. For example, buying winter clothes and shoes in the summer and vice versa.
That is very true
But then you will be wearing 2023 - 2024

I will probably wear my Onitsuka Tigers GSM the most in spring and summer.
Other sneakers that will get lots of wear time:
- Nike Blazer (burgundy swoosh)
- ConverseAllstar
- ASICS Gel Lyte 3
- New Balance 997
- Diadora N9000
- Vans Oldskool
I have no reason in adding a new pair to my collection this year as I am really happy with my collection
It’s always a nice feeling when you are happy with what you already have
My favorites there are the Asics, Gazelles, Spezials (I also prefer those to Sambas) I like the Onitsuka Tigers and NB's (I'm more of a 990 head) but they're not really my style. Great video as always. What's great is that most of these sneakers are affordable. I'm done with paying crazy resale prices for fancy collabs.
I got my becket whatever GAT and I love them, the quality is great
Great to hear
I'm wearing my timeless style Nike Cortez
Keep up with the quality videos Harry! Maybe you could do a 2022/2023 favourite pickups video? Would be interested in some of your recent favourites - it seems like you’ve been wearing Ronning (the cargos) a lot too!
Thanks mate. My last video featured all my favourite recent pickups if you haven’t seen that?
a bold no to all the sneakers in this video for me haha.. i don't see a reason to buy just because they are becoming popular.
btw a great video as always Harry!
Never said you should buy them because they are popular. I said these are all classics that have or will stand the test of time. Even when the trends die out. Thanks for watching bro
Sambas are the new pandas...just overused. I'd choose spezials over samabas too, just different and stylish.
Thanks a lot mate
@@HarryHas if you do pick up the Mexico’s. Would love a “I wore these all day and…….” Of course after they are broken in.
I think there are editions of the mexico 66 which gives more comfort like the SD
@@renzleandicho23 correct, i made the switch and there’s no going back.
I’m a big fan and I love your videos keep up the good work❤❤
Thank you very much mate
Veja Campo is timeless or out of style? What do you think?
