Congratulations on the Shiny Charmander, and the video is a treat to enjoy on my birthday! Love seeing this Pokémon hunted in a different way from the traditional FRLG hunt, although that one is cool since you get to keep the shiny starter through the whole playthrough. Can't wait to eventually claim this shiny for myself one day.

Wow. Ok, so the past few years I've been planning a very in-my-head long-term plan of replaying all of 3rd gen. I really wanted to shiny hunt for a charmander and then trade it to emerald to use as my starter. I was dissapointed when I remebered I cannot do that. But you just told me I can. Thank you man. Charmander shiny never gets old. Just got mine in FR after 1053 soft resets. Now hunting a shiny Oddish.

You should hunt for a random encounter Shiny Koffing in Pokémon Crystal. You know, the one Chuggaaconroy got in his playthrough. I actually got one myself not too long ago.

I’m currently hunting totodile through eggs in Emerald and I mostly do short period hunting..Would you recommend me doing it in Ruby instead?

Nope! Do it in emerald, much faster to hatch the eggs in emerald.
Don’t worry about the emerald RNG after like the first egg. It’s incredibly hard to hit the same frame. You can record a battle video if you’re paranoid (shinycollector has a video on this) but it’s not worth the 2x longer hatch time by doing it in Ruby

I actually think it looks pretty cool! Like a hybrid of salamence and Ho-oh. If I end up getting Violet I may have to hunt it!

i finally got a shiny mewtwo in FR after like 2 weeks of resetting and then like 2 hours after that i was working on my Emerlald dex and a shiny Marill appeared out of nowhere, it was a good day
How to breed shiny? Are you use Shiny Charmander or just Normal Charmander with Ditto?

Im trying to hatch one in fire red and it's rough since no flame body, hoping it shines though because I want to take it with me through all of the games and get all the ribbons on it

The eggs shininess happens when it’s generated. Not when it hatches
