    Thanks for your tips. I'm a seasoned stylist (20 yrs) and I have lost a few regular clients lately because they are moving out of the area (retirement, college, job relocations, and just getting out of our overly busy and over populated county). Because I'm nearly 40 yrs old, I am not as fresh on the social media marketing. I was thinking about the model idea and was searching for tips on how to ask without looking desperate or inexperienced. Your video was perfect.

    Do you have any advice for an esthetician’s trying to build their clientele? I was trying to take what you were saying for stylist and figure out a way that I could do the same thing but it doesn’t seem that simple in my case because I don’t have all of the supplies and things I need at home and my salon is not going to allow me to bring people in and give them a free skin service. What would you recommend?!

    • @LaurenFrancesHair
      @LaurenFrancesHair  4 года назад +2

      +Amanda Barron yes same advice. And I think it is very odd that your salon does not let you practice. That would be a deal breaker for me not even joking. I would try offering to pay for what you use if you haven’t already. Or if I were you I would maybe trying asking a local school!

    • @arleneaugustahair8393
      @arleneaugustahair8393 4 года назад +1

      Amanda Barron I’m a Cosmetologist and a friend of mine who I went to school with ended up waxing. She did free waxes for 2 days. I needed a waxologist because my other one quit. I took a full body waxing class so even if she didn’t know I could still guide her.
      She did really good. I rebooked with her, gave her a tip and brought aftercare product.

    So.....online booking, or no? So many times people book a haircut that destroys an opening for a color client.

    • @LaurenFrancesHair
      @LaurenFrancesHair  Год назад

      You can actually set up rules for online booking to make sure that doesn’t happen! For example complete it will only show back to back appointments for haircuts so they can’t book in the middle of the day and leave an awkward time slot that can’t be filled 😀

Very cool that you work from home! But yes when you are on your own you realize it’s all on you! I will do more how to get client videos for you but in the meantime my best advice is to test many different strategies. You work from home to you have nothing to lose. Set a budget for marketing and test different strategies over others! This is how I deleloped mh marketing skills. And because I had failures, I became very confident about what does work!
