  • 3 months, 5,000 miles and I love it.
    So, yes still minor tech issues, new recall needs to be scheduled.
    But for the price, you may not find a car this fun.
    Gas mileage seems to be stabilizing and averaging 29 mpg mixed with higher on long highway drives.

    Just bought a brand new 2025 and I absolutely love it. Rides great, very quiet, handles well. For the price point it's hard to beat.

    The first Chevy product since the Volt that has genuinely impressed me. Always fun to see an owner's perspective of a car that gets of a lot of press.

      Thanks! As you can see I normally do video on "cars" that are a lot smaller. Yeah, gotta admit I really love this little car. I'm almost 60 and have owned quite a few cars. This is nothing unique except that it's refershingly simple and honest.

    I like that your keeping expectations realistic for this great little affordable vehicle. So many reviewers are comparing it to far more expensive auto's costing much more. GM will sell you a higher spec/model vehicle for much more $$ if you prefer everything, but most of us are happy to have less expensive option which is quite nicely equipped.

    The products coming out of GM's South Korean design Studios are great, nice to see them finally getting the recognition they deserve. The new Trax is really the successor to the Sonic and the Trailblazer is the successor to the Trax. Funny people see these as Chevy's but they are anything but. I just traded my wife's 2016 FW Trax with a 6M transmission and AC for a new Trailblazer after 130 000 trouble free miles I paid 12 700.00 for the Trax on clearance in March 2017 and got 5200.00 back, seven years later and no they did not inflate the price of the Trailblazer I got it for 1500 below MSRP. These cars new and used are highly desired because they are reliable, practical and great fun to drive.

    • @xltoffroadbear
      @xltoffroadbear  6 месяцев назад

      You're absolutely right! This Trax is actually a "cool" Sonic! Last year when my other car was in the shop I rented a Sonic for a few weeks and that's what made me buy this Trax! You got a great deal! Congrats!

      Thanks, she was very excited. If you like to wrench, another plus of these small GM Koreans is how easy they are to do your own maintenance, everything is accessible and light, no special tooling is required unlike Toyota and the Germans. If you change your oil every 3000 to 4000 miles, and with the 1.2T there is a timing belt I recommend replacing at 100 000 miles you will get 180 000 miles no problems. These Engines were designed by Opel and are prized and well respected in Europe.@@xltoffroadbear

      GM Korea makes reliable vehicles.
      I had a 2013 Spark and it lasted me 11 years. Lots of real hard driving too... lots of zipping through downtown Toronto revving all the way up to 7k RPM without too much groaning. The little thing still managed to limp its way to the dealership to be traded in for a 2024 Trax, get fixed up, and sold again.
