Coming from a computer science and software engineering background, the idea of a decentralized, heavily automated storage system like Gringotts is amazing to me. It leads me to wonder if I could make something like it on my own.
Also a computer science student, it's simple in concept, but would probably be pretty tough in execution, tracking specific chests with specific shulkers, making a web portal to input commands that somehow communicate with the bot, The baritone part is already done so that's easy, would be a fun undertaking though, probably take me a while to do

The fact that your base getting griefed is always a possibility, forces these groups and builders to become more innovative and creative in hiding and defending their base, leading to bases like this that are simply mind boggling and unlike anything ever seen in Minecraft. That's a pretty good storage system, and lag free

The problem with the name of the vault. "Gringotts" as Fit mentioned was the most secure vault we know of in the Wizarding world of Harry Potter. The problem with the name is that in the Deathly Hallows Harry Potter and his friends broke into Gringotts and stole something, proving Gringotts can be breached and can be robbed.
I dont play 2b2t but observing how people behave and interacted in a sandbox world where almost anything is possible is like watching another civilization evolve and its so interesting.

Fit's videos have honestly become the high point of my week. I may never play on 2b2t, but the method of storytelling and the visual captures are stellar.
I’m always so impressed by the stuff people build on 2b2t even it’s bound to be destroyed. Personally I would love to have someone put some griefers in a lab setting and run tests on them because they fascinate me.
I love how Nocom was such a huge event that every story fit talks about he has to mention it, it was a server changing event that affected everyone. Like the 9/11 of 2b2t

Honestly Fit left out some of details, such as the fact that people who worked on the base didn't just have to use some mod and another account, but actually had to join a proxy server to get to the base, SalC1 made a video that goes into greater detail about how the base stayed hidden and how it was found

This reminding my playes of the Cities skylines. You know, constructing a city is basically how well do you design the Economy of Distributement. That Idea grows exponentially when(while) the market and scale of your city grows linearly.
The name is an HP reference but this is exactly like a Shadow Depository in Farscape. Right down to the automated delivery and level of defense...though they could have used dispensers and/or skeletons alongside the discord notifications. Write the bots to trigger the traps but to stop short of being hit by the arrows, and also to refill the arrow dispensers. Or have them respawn nearby idc.

Most actual spawnmasons were given the real coords (~50% of the base members), only the other 50% (guests we invited) had to join via proxy

Dude, that add hit home. Until I could not pay for membership, I used to play Rune Scape all the time. My old username was Sirkillall4. If I thought most of the game had been released for free players, I would not mind playing again, but I have too many chores on my list this winter.

I think the name Gringott fits perfectly as in the books its hard for anyone to infiltrate the vaults of the goblins and only they know how to access it. Always great video !
A guy called fast Vincent made a video on this and it went into much more detail explaining how the cords where leaked and how they made new members get to build by using some server shenanigans
