A melancholic melody encapsulating the horrors of one night, yet hinting at better days to come. “And after that” is underrated and I’m glad the RE2 Remake kept it:)
Its the moment you can finally stop running for your life and truly breath and process everything that went down that rainy night. And After That? Well... we know.
And after that . . . Leon, Claire, and sherry are found by the military, they are taken in for questioning but soon are released since they had no part in the mysterious outbreak that occurred in Raccoon City, Leon stays behind to help out the military any way he can Claire says her goodbyes to leon and hope to meet again Sherry is taken by child protection services since leon nor claire could take care of her This truly was the beginning of what was to come of the future
Resident Evil 2 from 1998 has something truly special that the Remake lacks. I can't explain it, but then again... some things you just have to feel them.
Played this after my last day at high school. I cant tell you how much pressure was lifted off of me when I finally got my diploma from graduating early and suffering through summer school.
I always wondered why these ending screens were never actually canon. The first one had a similar ending screen of one of the two playable characters having a normal day in the city and those weren't canon apparently, either. I wonder if that's why in later games they just show you a typewriter or a character model on a black background or something, so they don't have to retcon another results screen lol
I think because of the subsequent events, in this case Leon, if perhaps they had not even destroyed Raccon city, Leon, upon escaping the city and as a police officer, would have called reinforcements to prevent the spread of the virus, although that fact in itself It was past, closing the roads within the city, in Claire's case it may not be so canon, since she leaves the responsibility of taking care of Sherry to Leon, going to look for her brother.
I think this would be a "what if" the protagonists had gone their separate ways, although it was like that in canon, here it would be a version of if Raccon city had never been destroyed, and if Umbrella had been discovered by its facilities and the cause of the virus.

Side Note: Play this in your car after a long day at work.

It's that feeling of completion. Only the 4th survivor has anything close to this.

This song makes me super sad.
When you retire at 65...
Leon...
