David: warm, wise, delighted, clever. His place: tasteful, textured, intelligent , vital and warm experiments. This is a good manifestation of interests, very successful. Thank you, Homeworthy,
Very well said...
The Cuban tiles and the weed thing on the floor were the best part for me. 10 out of 10 !
Talk about living a creative life. Wow.
Watched a second time. This space has so much, designer is brilliant. It is whimsical, elegant, masculine, feminine, tells many, many stories, it is a space that talks to everybody. He is also a great storyteller and narrator. He keeps you hanging on every word. Their home is the same. So enjoyable.
Treat, thank you.
He's in love with everything, haha. Me too.
I just burst out laughing at David saying he lives in fear of what Miguel is gonna bring home on any given day🤣🤣🤣. I think Miguel's brain is brilliant. I love every piece he's made for you David. And don't even get me started about Pancito🤣🤣😍😍😍
What a charming man, and home!
There's a real calmness about that space. Just beautiful.
The view! The view! That's a million-dollar view right there - the effing Statue of Liberty!
The Detroit Art is a knock-out piece.
David, ( We are friends now, so I’m being informal…😊) I believe you DID win the lottery! Why? You have so many jewels in your life: a talented loving husband, a sense of humor, an amazing eye for stunning, meaningful pieces for your gorgeous home, a joyful profession, and a tender heart for your friends.
Oh, the clouds..imagine them in your entry, which I am in love with!
Carry on.
Amazing. Okay, once he got to the clouds art ... Nothing can top that.
There is something special about the way this designer presents his existence in the world. May God lead him to the depth of truth that he seeks. Deep calleth unto deep.
37:06 Now I have seen it all... Bedazzled poultry 🤣
One word: Everything!
Oh my goodness. David and Miguel's home is beautifully decorated. I love the framed glass wall. I love the mix of textures. It is a thoughtful idea to rescue abandoned plants.
Very nice home. Miguel sounds like a very nice person.
Love the home and the philosophy. All these handmade treasures are just that.
Omg! Yes,to New Episodes ❤❤❤❤
Homeworthy! These videos are more interesting than any movies I have ever watched! Thank you 🙏🏼 thank you 🙏🏼
Thank you to David for the privilege of sharing his beautiful home, decor and design ideas and tips. You’ve opened our world to new, fresh and exciting new ideas. Thank you 😊
I could listen to him for hours..and I feel like I just did...beautiful home!
LOVE the 'wood you be mine' box and the wood samples inside. So clever.
Incredible space. That dandelion is epic.
Loved this gentleman's home it is beautiful. 🥰👍
I love how he used a patterned neutral on all his backdrop, sofas, chairs, black and white and grays, then used pattern to make it look like color. Then added pops of color it all looks layered and cohesive. It is like wow! All the textures and little surprises is welcoming you to hug the space. It took a lot of thought, and it is timeless. Peace!
I laughed so hard at the Dandelion - brilliant! What a warm, textured, personal home. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Agreed! Its so realistic and familiar yet surprising because it's indoors
I loved it as well. Went to search if it was sold online lol
I thought it was neat too but couldn’t help but think how bad it would hurt catching my toe on it when I walked past it.
I had to look online and found one selling for $25,000 or $2,200 in monthly payments. 😳
Not sure I would have put the dandelion there. Stabbing your toe or ripping your foot open..... yeah, not my idea of warm or cozy. Maybe for a corner area that doesn't have lots of traffic going past. Or the terrace.
Allison, Thank you for these stories you bring us everyweek. They are an inspiration to me and I am sure others. They uplift my spirit, give me hope and ideas. We all get to see and hear people in their own space and place, the level of creativity, enthusiasm that is amongst us, that is unique to our life and living in todays world, I hope you continue to share more of the these stories so we can reflect on true humanity and how can co exist and learn from each other everyday. These stories hold my attention in that moment and the good or great thing about them, I can rewatch them all over again. Thank you.
This guy spoke about friends and their work so fondly! It is rare to see someone so willing to elevate others.
Attractive, creative, man and home.
I absolutely adore this home. The glass separating the bedroom from the kitchen is brilliant. The dandelion sculpture …*chefs kiss*
The kitchen is fabulous. I would love to hang out at that island.
I know, me too!
David and Miguel's home has so much personality. It's filled with so many interesting things to look at yet feels spacious. The variety of sizes, textures, and types of art and objects keeps my eye traveling around. It has a serene color palette with enough (subtle) pattern to make an impactful statement. Lovely all around. I could live there. I want to come over and hang out for a long and leisurely weekend of conversation, music, meals, and adult beverages. Cheers!
I could never live in the hustle bustle of New York but appreciate the beautiful views from the apartment. The furniture placement and high ceilings make the space feel so open and inviting. I love that he embraces and respects his husband's tastes by incorporating whatever he brings home into the design scheme. Beautiful home filled with memories.
But somehow your home becomes even more of a haven..a refuge..a cozy space when it is in the middle of a bustling city that you “escape” from at the end of the day….
You are a beautiful story teller. Thank you for letting us in.❤
Love this man's approach to home, layers of good memories. I'm glad he's happy and grounded there, truly. And their apartment is beautiful. But if I had to live with that floor, I'd have a severe case of vertigo 24/7.
His book looks fascinating! I was prepared for just-another-coffee-table offering but it looks genuinely cool.
This man is a beautiful soul. I love how he articulates the meaning he assigns to each piece and to the overall space. I would be his friend. He speaks my language.
I’m glad you introduced us to David Stark. I’m in love with his stories and how he designed his home. I want to hear more from David!!❤🔥🔥🔥🔥
I loved, love David Starks’ curated home. The whimsical of his home decoration is unique! From the floor to the walls all allow a combination of hand-crafted artists. He gave credits to each one person who contributed to the delightful items ( paintings, photos, furnitures, drapes makers, etc). The big pencil made out thumbtacks, the table in the kitchen, the papier-mâché trimmed ( that’s beautiful), the silver chicken, Panchito doll ( uniquely handmade,) history in the making with Boston’s paintings elaborating history’s. Oh, my he make me want to live in Brooklyn! What a great home worthy!
Miguel=very talented artist!
This home was so beautifully and eloquently narrated by David. Everything unique and meaningful...I love homes like this.
Thank you for the video
I really enjoy these longer format films with such interesting people and their wonderful spaces.
A house with soul! A liveable space full of many interesting art works. Miguel is very talented and as David, he thinks out of the box. Love it!
I follow Homeworthy religiously, eagerly looking forward to each posting, and without question this is the most entertaining, thoughtful and creative edition yet, Thank you for your effort.
fantastic.
Woaoooooooo I am speechless with this incredible house! Bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Such a beautiful, personal space, lovingly curated. Thank you for sharing it with us.❤
Love everrrryyyytttthhhinnnggg, the home and the stories behind evvverrry object, art….all of it ❤️
Yay! Another beautiful space! 😍
The tile floor in your home is my favorite part! If I saw the finished space minus the floor, and was given the option of which tile to pick, I would never have picked it for fear it would be too overpowering. But it is hardly that. Looks terrific and I love the change of tile direction throughout the home.
Love it. Love everything. Can I just say I am now a huge fan of Miguel’s art? He must be the most delightful person.
"I live in fear of what he's going to bring home, but we make it work."💕
Love the bull!!!!
Stunning.
Love all of the art objects❣️ ...and your space. Most enjoyable watching!
I love David and Miguel's home .Everything we have in our family home means something to me. I stopped buying junk made in China along time ago .Only buy beautiful vintage and we have some modern mixed in .How i love the all the different textures and themes in their home! The only thing I would do is add more pop of color but that's just me !
What a gem. Thanks for all the descriptions of your treasures. It's like going on a vacation and experiencing new wonders.
very cozy and artistic.
I really enjoyed listening to him express his space. His thoughts. He's extremely thoughtfully articulate. I appreciate this quality. I've never really thought about how events are" ephemeral" wow. Beautifully put. I really enjoyed this one!!
So many design elements that I love about David’s space. A lovely mix of classic, modern, vintage, masculine. The flooring is too busy for my taste but it’s gorgeous nonetheless. Bravo!!!
Oh I love the floor!
Fabulous space and storytellier
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and David's explanation of his evolution in this space. Many beautiful things that work together in a story.
I absolutely love Miguel’s pieces, the pencil, the chairs.... Thanks for sharing with us!
What a journey he took us on! I really enjoyed all the artwork and the meaning behind it. Thank you!
It's hard to describe him but there is something so so about him.. beautiful home
I need that giant pencil in my life. I'd love it for my office. So cute
Beautiful space..
Absolutely ,a beautiful calming space !
David and Miguel's home is stunning. I love every inch! 😍
A Beautiful Home and Spectacular Views!
I'd love to attend a dinner party there. Great video.
This is my favorite of all the home tours you've done. David and Miguel's taste is exquisite and the design of their home is so smart and functional. There wasn't a single thing that he shared or that I saw that I didn't lust for. That brutalist, irregular organic shaped (ceramic?) sconce. Yum!
Awww! I would have loved to gift the "wood you be mine" box to my carpenter husband. Cute. I especially enjoyed the wicker accents in the kitchen! Whimsy yet clean home.
I’m obsessed with the flooring but the entire home is just stunning. I understand what he means when he says he wants a calm space after being out in the hectic world. My home is done in neutral colors and it helps me relax when I step through the door.
I was so comforted during David’s home tour. The home he and his husband share is beautiful to the eye and the heart. Thank you for sharing your stories and journey with us David. I was truly appreciative to have gone through your home tour. I plan on purchasing your book and displaying it in my home in Delray Beach, Florida.
What a joy to watch this episode. Dear David, Delfts Blue tiles from a far away land are from The Netherlands. Small country (but very beautiful) in Europe.🧡
Wow. That table made of matches is magnificent.. impressive creativity.
What a truly WONDERFUL person he is, by his OWN account.
An absolutely perfect description of "home"....
Cozy, warm & inviting! A pleasure to come home. ❤️
I absolutely love this beautiful home already and haven't even watched it. Thanks for sharing this beautiful home with us, and thanks David for opening your
Your home to us
Absolutely stunning, one of my favorite spaces ever on Homeworthy. Thank you so much David for sharing this amazing space with us!
What an enjoyable tour. Loved listening to David talk about his home. Purchased his book and can't wait for it to arrive!
Gorgeous! Creative! Unique!
All this beauty and Miguel rescues plants from the street ❤!
What a lovely person, love the apartment and all of the design aspects that are a wonderful memory. Beautiful vlog, so nice.
Oh, I want the dandelion! It’s an interesting mix of both of their styles. I like the overall calm palette with texture to the max.
Hahaha Paceeta, I know spelt incorrectly, but wanted to comment that it’s funny and endearing to me. Because, it shows up sometimes by surprise on their trips!
The tiled wall in the kitchen is masterfully done.
Very interesting, he's very talented. Creative, yet calm and appealing.
Panchito's living his best life!
This has been one of my favorites❤
Every aspect of this home is a discovery. I love the window treatments. Miguel's artwork is so imaginative. A lot of designers have 'help' - too many ideas need an edit. This is a very nice & talented man. I will buy the book!
The dark veins in spalted maple are a mold that moves thru the wood as it dies. Can be difficult to work as it cam be very "punky". A very nice thing.
This was such a pleasure to see this video.. Enjoyed hearing your references and stories. I was also inspired by many of your designs and treasures ❤ Thank you!
Beautiful ,cozy and full of flair I enjoyed your tour thank you.
I could listen to him all day long
One of the best or probably the best home I've seen on this channel. Great color schemes and beautiful decor throughout.
a most enjoyable tour through your light and view filled apartment of tranquility
