The place is almost as elegant as Tim. I like Tim's wearing shoes! All Tim's pieces and the space all toghether works beautifully in the city, but this interior would also be very happy in a country house too.
I feel privileged that Tim let us into his world and turned his brain inside out so we could hear & understand why he chose the art & photos he did. As he was sitting, Quentin Crisp popped into my mind, and suddenly, out popped Quentin's name! His view of the walkway & train outside his window was kind of neat. I still want to know more about the life-size photo of the shirtless, tattooed youth I believe might be Tim himself. I enjoyed the tour immensely & wish I could while away an afternoon picking his fascinating brain. Cheers, Tim.
I had to draw a floor plan of my house when I was in 6th grade. I was hooked. I used to buy floor plan magazines all the time. I wasn't into teen magazines, I was into houses. I still am. I look at a lot of real estate listings and I am thrilled when a floor plan is included.
Throughout the tour and interview, I felt oddly connected to Tim but aside from a similar aesthetic, I didn't know why... and THEN at the very end, he mentions how he doesn't watch tv and generally lives without them. "That's it!" I thought. I'm exactly of the same mindset. I don't own one, and haven't for over 10 yrs. Like Tim, if I need to be entertained, I simply pull up RUclips or Netflix on my laptop. The rest of the time, it's books, friends, and then more books. Great video!
I lived on the Lower East Side in the 80s and often saw Quentin Crisp on the street and in The Kiev, my favorite coffee shop on 2nd Ave. I thought he must live in an apartment like the ones my friends and I lived in, tiny, with 5 coats of paint and uneven floors, only with nicer furniture, but nothing so elegant as this! I do love Tim Campbell's embrace of the noise and chaos of NYC, albeit filtered through his beautiful apartment.
Mr. Campbell’s appreciation and placement of small objects and curated art is most inspiring. Thank you for sharing your home. I applaud his appreciation of the artistry of the work of others.
OMG, I can't believe you own the Chester Arnold piece. I borrowed that from a gallery in Marin County in the early 1990s to hang on my dining room wall. I wanted to buy it but couldn't afford it and hoped my parents (who were coming to visit) would buy it for me but they didn't. I always wondered where it ended up. I LOVE that piece. I'm so happy to see it again. You made my day!
Homeworthy, why would anyone want to show you their home with such rude comments people feel they are entitled to publish? Beautiful home! I love a curated and layered home.
Probably my favorite Homeworthy episode. Great use of space. Fantastic remodel and design. I actually took notes on the multiple resources Mr. Campbell generously provided. I love the object “altars” he has collected, curated, and created. The explanation of the wonderful Peter Hujar portrait of David Wojnarowicz, made me tear up. The apartment truly exemplifies the motto, “…surround yourself with the things you love…”. Ready to see Mr.Campbell’s other home(s). Thank you Homeworthy and Mr.Campbell.
Beautiful space. I love his curated over time style. He has a story for each design decision so he’s very intentional but fun. The sofa is my favorite thing! Great tour.
One of the best Homeworthy episodes. What an amazing and interesting gentleman, such a treat to watch him and his beautiful home. The bathroom is just gorgeous
Great tour, he is the first professional that I have heard say he hastes open floor “kitchens”….so do I! When I opened up a wall in my home to the kitchen the contractor removed it completely and I was mortified. He tried his hardest to convince me to have an open kitchen concept. I stuck to my plan and refused and had him put a walled arch back in! So Mr. Tim actually made my day! Love love his space because there is a lot going on but doesn’t look or feel cluttered. I especially enjoyed the background and inspiration to each piece. Very traditional items but modern in feel. Now if we could only be so lucky to get a tour of his apartment in Portugal! Thank you Tim Campbell your space is amazing.
I love all the different textures and design of Tims and his spouses home. The art is so very cool and I love the wallpaper ! We don't have this budget .I am the cheif decorator in our home and I always think one has to stick with a theme .But watching all these different decorators is giving me some great ideas and we are slowly doing are family room over .Watching all these cool, neat homes I feel like one can break design rules. Out with the matching sets of the 70's through the 90's and in with the beautiful antiques and multicultural designs and beautiful peices .
Wow-Honestly I could have closed my eyes and just listened to the host talk. What a fascinating person! The home is so artistic and layered while still being crisp and clean. My favorite spots are his vignettes or “altars” of collections arranged very thoughtfully.
Such an interesting episode. It provokes much discussion that was conspicuously passed over because this is a superficial view of the apartment, not the appropriate vehicle for asking why, or looking at the space in an analytical way. The most striking feature is that even though he stated that he longed to escape the oppressive religious atmosphere of his youth, once he had total control of his environment, as an adult, he chose to completely surrounded himself with religious artifacts!
I stepped away from religion as soon as I was out on my own. And I collect religious art. I prefer 3D pieces. I have them in the house and garden. And I have a pretty good size collection of nativity sets as well. I prefer all my pieces be handmade. I like the idea of a single subject depicted with different media from different cultures.
I'm always impressed with the gracious home owners you feature and Tim is no exception - he's friendly, interesting, relaxed, and I enjoyed this tour of his apartment - thank you
It’s wonderful to be allowed in so many homes and hear the stories of their evolution and how and why they curated the items within. Quite a special channel.
What a beautiful apartment. I love the smaller scale and the curated pieces. Each piece of art and the various collections are so personal and important to both. Thank you so much for letting us come into your home.
I love how he’s decorated with thought but makes it sound easy. Fascinating Accessories and art are collected not just bought from a big box store. Love how everything has a story.
What an awesome video! Loved the McDonald’s in the slums, the Roman glassware!, the wallpaper, the bathroom with heated floors, and all of the artwork. Tim, thank you for sharing all of your home with us. You truly live like an Englishman in New York!
Very interesting tour, as we definitely see the lifestyle of the homeowner depicted…emptyish frig and all! ….and it is truly fun to see the joy that these homeowners get from their collected life interests and experiences. Thank you for sharing!
"I love how peaceful the apartment lives..." He's a pro. For a space with so much in it, it is calm. When you know what you want, it will work together. Thank you for showing us your home, Tim.
Thank you for the tour. Your home is exquisitely decorated and I truly appreciate you sharing your extensive knowledge and background on the pieces you selected for your home. I was pausing and googling along the way, so that I could learn more about the artists/artisans that you shared. Fantastic!!
Very interesting, Tim described everything so well, love the brass touches throughout but I watched to the end simply because he's a great speaker. Very thoughtful. So many youtubers speed-talk and end up sounding repetitive, inane, and buzzword-crazy. Not Tim.
It's interesting how most of his pieces are traditional but the overall effect is modern, perhaps because of the building itself and the art. Also really enjoyed how he got into drawing and floorplans.
This is great. I don’t like walking straight into my living room either, so I created a foyer by using the back of my couch, which I floated in the middle of the room, with a console table and art on the wall behind it. I also don’t like looking from my living room into my kitchen, and lastly the Springsteen song reference, I NEVER hear anyone mention the song Englishman in New York, and it’s one of my favorites of his.
I think that’s the couch I tried to buy on SL BL a while back. I blinked, and it sold. Love it. ❤️. You’re making me miss Silver Lake and The East Village, my two former homes.
Amazing apartment, so balanced at colors and decorations! And, of course, can't help paying compliment for a prominent man who is worthy to live in such a gorgeous place!
For,the first time I did not pay attention to the place. I just listened to him talking, it was very descriptive and had a cultured tone that mesmerized me.
I love your home. It's comfy. And interesting. The couch is elegant. There's many unique things like pictures and trinkets that will start a conversation right away. What really matters to me is the stories and character 👍
This gentleman is named Tim like my father!💗 Of course style and aesthetic taste is somethig very personal, what one may love...for another may not make sense! I personally loved the size of the apartment, the small kitchen and bathroom. Gray color makes thread throughout the house!😉 And the art ,exibited all over the house, is simple magnificent!🖼🎨 I really enjoyed!🐕
An intriguing space filled with beautiful things. Was the life sized photo of the young man in the hallway a Bettina Rheims? My favorite take away was “...I hate open kitchens,” which to me is a sign of an evolved mind!
Pocos hombres me han cautivado con su personalidad y estilo como Tim lo a logrado!! Gracias por mostrar este bello lugar pero sobretodo por permitirme disfrutar de la magia de este elegante caballero.❤
This was fascinating, and so thorough! Most home tours are rushed, but he went into great detail. I was particularly intrigued by his notion of pretending that the apartment had been owned by a significant personality long ago and then designing and decorating it accordingly!
Maybe I missed it (my kids were yelling while I was watching the video), he said he grew up in a religious house but didn't like it. So I'm curious about why he has the crucifixes and rosary beads. I like how he shared the details of when he was younger and the floor plans. The apartment is well curated. I love that he was mindful in choosing things to buy.
You have the same taste as I have, amazing ❤ In my dining room I have a wall (created by me) of different beautiful skulls. There is also a large metal cross of found and welded objects made by a local artist and a lovely 1929 metal chandelier that has a wonderful patina.
Darlin' Tim, This is spectacular! Makes me feel all like... “Dragonfly out in the sun, you know what I mean, don't you know Butterflies all havin' fun, you know what I mean Sleep in peace when day is done, that's what I mean”
The place is almost as elegant as Tim. I like Tim's wearing shoes!
All Tim's pieces and the space all toghether works beautifully in the city, but this interior would also be very happy in a country house too.
The explanation of the art and his feelings behind it made this apartment so much more interesting.
Wow what an amazing human being. Love everything about him and his exquisite home. I want to become Him when I grow up.
I love Tim Campbell's jacket, those side pockets are so unique in a blazer
I love all the deep grays and black though out. Makes all the art and objects work together seamlessly.
This was a beautifully curated apartment. The home owner is so relaxed and his story behind his art is so interesting. I learned a lot from this tour.

I like this man, Tim. He is so easy going and
nice. I like his apartment too.
Jeff
Tim Campbell has amazing taste in art and furniture. I love that each item was chosen with such care and meaning.
Mr. Campbell’s appreciation and placement of small objects and curated art is most inspiring. Thank you for sharing your home. I applaud his appreciation of the artistry of the work of others.
That’s a beautiful apartment! Very elegant.
Loved this tour. So many interesting pieces and stories behind each. Such a lovely gentleman. Thank you for sharing your home.
Such a treat. As a former New Yorker. I just loved everything 👏👏

Another fascinating individual sharing their home and all the wonderful stories that contribute to it!!
So much beauty!! Love all the rosaries and crucifixes 🙏🏻

I like TIM. He has a lovely nature. Thank you for an enjoyable home and storytelling. Love this episode. ❤️
So very glad that I watched!
The epitome of “surround yourself with what you love” and indulge your passion. Loved the tour.
Loved this home! I learned so much. Thank you, thank you!!!
I really enjoyed listening to this house tour. What a gorgeous space. Beautiful home. Lucky guy.
Great tour, he is the first professional that I have heard say he hastes open floor “kitchens”….so do I! Loved everything about this apartment and about Tim!
Loved this - the thought that went into creating this wonderful space is inspiring - also, Tim strikes me as a very nice man indeed.... thank you...
So personal and tastefully eclectic

i agree, so interesting, i would love to have known more about that too.

And I have a pretty good size collection of nativity sets as well. I prefer all my pieces be handmade. I like the idea of a single subject depicted with different media from different cultures.
I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if he just finds them beautiful or he still values religion just not the way he was brought up.
Beautiful and fascinating apartment....
Sofa, mirror-glass cut shape design hanging on wall is great!
Cool guy and love his style. I love Quintin Crisp too.

I really like his space, tastefully done, love the art
Not only do I enjoy the tours but I love that I have this chance to discover new artists
I love this apartment. It's very much my style. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the tour. Your home is exquisitely decorated and I truly appreciate you sharing your extensive knowledge and background on the pieces you selected for your home. I was pausing and googling along the way, so that I could learn more about the artists/artisans that you shared. Fantastic!!
How beautiful is his apartment and even better listening to how he chose the pieces he owns, such a treat. Loved it!♥️👏🏻
Very interesting, Tim described everything so well, love the brass touches throughout but I watched to the end simply because he's a great speaker. Very thoughtful. So many youtubers speed-talk and end up sounding repetitive, inane, and buzzword-crazy. Not Tim.
I just love homeworthy 🥰💚🔥
Weird art is the most precious Art!
It's interesting how most of his pieces are traditional but the overall effect is modern, perhaps because of the building itself and the art. Also really enjoyed how he got into drawing and floorplans.
"Curated clutter". I love that idea. I very much enjoyed this tour and the gentleman's tour of his home.
I love the ambiance of his home.😍
The Best Parts For Me Are: The Bathroom & The Leather Chisterfield.Masculine Touch ❤
I'm obsessed with his coffee table(s)
Amazing place! Thank you for sharing your apartment,so many stories behind every object. ( a real home) Thank you again!
Great tour of a lovely apartment and interesting gentleman.

Exceptional space. Tim is so talented and grounded. I too did floor plans as a child, so much fun. Hats off to your talent and soul
I love the space and the ease, calm
I think that’s the couch I tried to buy on SL BL a while back. I blinked, and it sold. Love it. ❤️. You’re making me miss Silver Lake and The East Village, my two former homes.

Amazing apartment, so balanced at colors and decorations! And, of course, can't help paying compliment for a prominent man who is worthy to live in such a gorgeous place!
Beautiful apartment and love the wallpaper...... maybe I'm biased!!! 😃😃😃💙💙💙🏴🏴🏴
Love the art of this apartment! ❤
What a great tour!! Love all of his art and the quick stories and motivation behind the work that he shares!
The art in this apartment 🤩🙌
I really love this tour and learning about his art collection!
I love the roll top desk.

Love it Tim, be happy 💖
Amazing!! What a cool guy!
A great tour. Thank you for sharing.
Can't believe I'm the first one to comment! I love your channel and your content. I love his bathroom
Wonderful human and designer. Thanks for the tour. Loved the line about hearing the urban soundscapes including “people screaming”.
Hahah. So true. ❤
I love your home. It's comfy. And interesting. The couch is elegant. There's many unique things like pictures and trinkets that will start a conversation right away. What really matters to me is the stories and character 👍
Your home is very inspiring.
Beautiful and tasteful.
I like the 2 nat'l woven chairs with the wood round table. Classy!
Absolutamente espectacular. Única y personal. Entusiasmada con que, para variar, no hayan integrado la cocina en el salón.
Nice to know of someone who doesn't care for TV like me
Very interesting stories about the art. The home is lovely. ❤
That is a perfect flat❤

An intriguing space filled with beautiful things. Was the life sized photo of the young man in the hallway a Bettina Rheims? My favorite take away was “...I hate open kitchens,” which to me is a sign of an evolved mind!
The photo in the hallway is by Dean Sameshima. Acquired from Peres Projects when they were in LA.
@@timcampbell6477 How good to know! Thank you so much for getting back, I’ll have to check out his work! ❤
