  • A man cave hangout in North Carolina needed a way to keep the building comfortable year round and stop condensation from forming inside after the building had been in use. The customer is a veteran and he uses this space for hobby and recreation, so keeping the inside nice and clean and free of moisture was important.

I am just realizing this product. Is it capable of being applied on the subfloor of your roof under metal roofing? I understand that there must be a minimum of 3/4” gap between the reflective material and under side of metal roofing.

Not clear what you mean by "subfloor of your roof under metal roofing? I think you mean the roof deck. Yes, we actually a product specifically for metal roofing applicaitons. Look at www.RoofingFoil.com Does this help?

@@AtticFoil .. yes the decking. I understand that you have a radiant barrier for metal roofing but I was curious if the blue tech material could be used under metal roofing.

Hello. Regarding the air gap the poster mentioned between the reflective material and the underside of the roof, how much space should there be?

It could. But honestly the foil side of www.BlueTexInsulation.com is really not that durable or intended to be "walked on". Normally, once it's installed in metal buildings, it faces the metal and is never seen again. And, it provides virtually no additional benefit compared to www.RoofingFoil.com

Not much, 1/4" or more is all you need.
