Absolutely adore this idea! The reason the castings are coming out frosted has nothing to do with your resin but it's the mould. If you use a thin top coat the frosted will become clear again. You can use more regular resin or the UV resin to do that or you can even use a polyacrylic or any water-based top coat.
I’m in love with this idea. They came out beautiful ❤ and yes, brushing clear gloss varnish over the front of them will give them a clear glass look. Love Ellen J Goods
If you use a gloss clear coat over the top of the clear resin clothes (on the front of them) the resin will actually turn completely translucent & will not be cloudy at all 😊❤
Yes, as others have said, you can apply a clear vanish to make the cloches completely transparent but I LOVE the frosted way yours turned out. With the hydrangeas, it gives the whole thing a dreamy, Fairyland look. They don’t need to be changed! 🙂
This was a no brainer for me! Just got my mold & I'm waiting on the dried flowers I ordered. I instantly thought abt flowers when I saw this mold! I guess great minds think alike.😉 I still can't remember the name of the clear resin I used on my snowflakes, but it was perfect! It was the 1st time I used it, so I didn't pay much attention. I know it had a 12hr set-up time. I may have to hit up a couple of stores! lol
Favourite make from this release. You never disappoint 🥰. A clear gloss coat will take away the frosting however I think they look absolutely perfect and so ethereal the way they are. Thank you for the inspiration ❤
The molds are designed with a lot of surface texture, which is great for clay or normal resin. Clear resin just needs to be finished with a clear coat and then they look crystal clear. I love these. And even enjoy the frosted look. I just got these molds today and can’t wait to try them!
Hi Michelle, You did a wonderful job creating something so different from anything I have ever seen before. It is so unique looking and so natural. I love the Cloches.
Those cloches are absolutely gorgeous with the hydrangeas! I’m gonna try that. I just got some hydrangeas the other day unfortunately I have to buy mine.😅
Did you happen to use fresh cut flowers or are those faux flowers? And I have found that if you put clear glaze over the top of the frosted area, it becomes translucent.
Hi Michelle. I love what you did! In a video I watched by Scrappy Rustics she tried different options to making the molds clear and found Krylon Triple Thick Clear Glaze to be the best. Here is the link to that video: ruclips.net/video/022LPtvHnpQ/видео.htmlsi=iTViNLifBbgnHfn2
Ellen j goods used clear gloss varnish on hers and they became completely clear. Love what u did!
Shannon from PB Vintage also used varnish to clear them
I was going to say the same! Tho I also love the “frosted” look.
Its the moulds you wont get a clear resin you will need to give them a top coat
Yes, Lynne used clear gloss varnish and the misty appearance disappeared

So beautiful!!! I didn’t order the cloche mould but looked forward to using your ideas with hydrangeas on the ornament mould. So simple yet so clever❤
Love these! They are going to be a hit!
Gorgeous!!!
I use spray gloss, its just easy, like magic, also gloss varnish works the same.
I love these cloches and their botanical vibe! I think they look so beautiful lit up with the fairy lights!
If you paint over your clear resin after it's set with clear varnish it will make the close look clear
Oh wow!! They are beautiful and i think I ordered the cloches!
What a great idea!

I tried this and the petals went brown. What type of resin are you using?
