This laptop has serious issues on sleep and wake. When laptop is plugged in and if I press sleep while playing any youtube videos, the screen goes black and music keeps on playing. When I unplugg the power cable, then laptop goes to sleep. Again, if i plug the power, the laptop wakes up automatically. After 20 mins of sleep, the laptop heats up and does not respond until it drains the battery. Did you encounter same issue? I am using win 10 with all drivers updated from dell.
@@INOLOGYIT it is due to 'modern standby' which is S0 (low power mode) that does not power off the laptop. I found a news tht modern standby has cause many new gen laptop heating issues. This cannot be change to 'hybird sleep' S3 state, bcuz it is programmed at the firmware level a.k.a BIOS. So dell deliberately, made S0 as default which is causing this issue and no plans to bring back good old S3. S0 was introduced in laptops to behave as smartphones. When our smartphone sleeps, it continues to get update from internet. Same goes for laptop but due to poor power mgmt, laptop gets hot and unresponsive to wake calls. This does not happen in Linux OS. Only happens in Windows OS.
Which is better for studying and some casual gaming dell vostro core i3 gen 11th ram 8 or dell vostro core i3 gen 10th ram 4 And if you want advice me to buy another laptop from other brands with the same specs please do so

My Dell G7 does the same, I put it too sleep, it heats up and goes dead.!!! 🙄
