LEGO wedge pieces are VERY weird (and fragile)

  • Apologies. No rolling. No spinning with this one. Not a chance.
It’s safe to say that this design will stay together without a problem, at rest, on a flat surface, indefinitely. But moving it's ridiculously fragile unless the curve is perfectly aligned, and in general it won’t tolerate much disturbance at all. But that being said, what an amazing looking toroid--more like a UFO than a donut--a curved, slotted, octagonal loop.

That's actually a *lot* more fragile than I was expecting it to be. The build process makes it look like it should be fairly solid... but the last few seconds clearly demonstrate otherwise, and prove that the apology in the caption is justified. I love using the A-wedge in more conventional LEGO builds for its ability to provide non-right angles.

Not very wearable then 😂 - 'weird' in the title can't be seen at first, only the first two letters: for some reason I guessed wearable - some of the shapes remind me of high end jewellery (not really my thing, wearing jewellery, for several reasons including clumsiness and having a fairly comfortable style - but I find the craft & shapes Interesting, just as art I guess).
