He’s done it again, wow. Incredible work, both in functionality and beauty. I’d absolutely hang it on my wall if I could.

i'd be way too scared of it falling off the wall! 😵
This is absolutely amazing. I would buy this if LEGO offered this as a set!
Expect 1999$ or more, hype intensifies
Same TBH, he should submit it to Ideas, or post some schematics. I wouldn't mind sourcing the parts and trying to build one of these.
I usually dont buy sets, but parts, but I agree...
This is the kind of thing Lego should be selling with the technic system, this is its true potential. Although understandably the plastic parts would never withstand the wear of such a machine, but there must be ways to do it, if only Lego would compromise.
Im also about to sya that . If it is in a offer or sale then i would definitely buy it ❤️❤️🤩❣️
The minute hand is easily my favorite part of this - both the chain and the indexing mechanism
I love the fact that this works like the Swiss railway clock: the minute hand only moves after second number 59. This is absolute genius, by far the best LEGO build I've ever seen.
Wow, this is truly impressive. So many small details, like the 1:11 gearbox, are impressive in themselves, but the whole clock is such a great combination of them that you want to build it right away.
i dont get how it works... (or what does the diff do there)
@@OnezKrs A differential has a special ability to "add" rotations. Take the two shafts sticking out the sides as A and B. If A and B rotate some amount, the differential case rotates (A+B)/2.
To make an 11:1 gearbox, we want input A=11, output B=-1 (negative in this case because the output rotates the opposite direction). Using the formula, the differential must rotate (11 - 1)/2 = 5.
So we just take the -1 on the output, do a 1:5 using the big gear, reverse it, and feed that +5 into the differential body. Very clever!
this is such a perfect build, you managed to incorporate the most clever building techniques and then some
I am a 22 year old mechanical engineering student who has seen an enormous amount of lego, and an enormous number of mechanical devices in my lifetime. This is without a doubt the single greatest creation I have ever seen in my 22 years of living. This is pure art. This is pure genius. This is pure spectacle. It is sublime. The inner workings of this clock being exposed to the outside world are a gift. Watching them is better than a movie. The mechanisms created to solve the problems you encountered are so utterly clever. The color palate could not have been chosen better. The frame being made out of lego bricks is in of itself a feat. I was opened-mouthed from about two minutes to the end. The time lapse at the end was the best way to end this video. Thank you for all of this.
One thing I’ve always loved about Lego creations like these is that you can actually wrap your head around how they work
I like the detail that at 10:09 (in minutes), the clock turns to 10:09 (in hours). Great eye for detail and amazing build!
You think that "detail" is on purpose and not a coincidence?
@@NelemNaru if it were on 10:10, i would consider it _too_ much of a coincidence (10:10 is imporant for clocks). But 10:09? nah.
It literally hits the exact minute of 10:09 on the exact video second of 10:09. That’s too much to be a coincidence.
Even better is 10:09 is the time Apple uses on all of their watches and clocks when giving presentations. A small detail within a small detail
@@phillipharryt nope. They use 9:41
"I am satisfied with it as an object" Understatement of the year... This is pure genius!
Just next level in every aspect: engineering, presentation, videography, and aesthetics. You really smashed the ceiling with this
Casually: “the frame has been created” - shows one of the most complex builds I have ever seen, just for decoration purposes.
Also the accuracy is impressive! I totally thought that under load that motor must end up inaccurate but you got the 12 hour cycle down to the minute, again, impressive
Dude, you are a wizard, there is just no other explanation. Very impressive build!!

This is awesome. I'm no horologist, but I can't think of many clocks that have a minute hand that ticks discretely. Absolutely fascinating
Ive been into lego since my childhood and had a veryy short dark age, i've tried building clocks as well, pendulars. I looked up many many good designs back then, but maannnnn!!!! This is truely breathtaking! What an increddibly gorgeous and clever implementation of that mechanism, you solved all issues around it and made a true piece of art here. It just looks stunning. Ive never been blown away by any lego moc more than now. Gorgeous.
Very well said LEGO would be nuts not to go with this. Forget your piano and your type writer as good as they are. these would fly off the shelves
Not only is the mechanism driving the clock absolutely fascinating, the aesthetics and artwork in the clock are fantastic as well!
I would buy this as a set in a heart beat. Not just for myself but for friends and family. This is gorgeous. I really want the joy of building this and then sitting and just watching it
It's mechanically very impressive, aesthetically pleasing and one of the greatest things I've seen built on RUclips. I'm not generally a clock watcher but if I had this in my house I'd lose hours just watching it do its thing.
I always knew you were a genius but it wasn’t until I saw that custom built 1:11 ratio gearbox that uses a damn differential did I realize the extent of your genius.
For anyone interested who didn't quite understand how that worked
ruclips.net/video/L-iPzlvXw0s/видео.html
he doesn't need to use differential gear set but he used it for the aesthetic reason lol differential box doesn't do anything.

The most elegant Lego build I have ever seen, and that 12 hours time laps was oh so satisfying! Brilliant job mate!
Wow, I'm blown away again! This is one of the most amazing builds I have ever seen!
First thing I wanted to do when I saw the original mangle wrack video was to make a clock, but the odd number of points (plus alternating direction) made it maddening implausible. The bifurcated end and colour contrast to effectively ignore one end and have an even number of steps is genius. But then the simplicity of the minute hand operation blew my mind!

What is amazing to me is the future-proof design of all Legos... the minute hand lined up perfectly with his minute markings. Legos just seem to work out. Awesome build.
This is hands down the single greatest thing built in Lego... EVER! If Lego were to turn anything into an official set, this should be it 😊
That Differential 1:11 gearbox is a work of genius in and off itself!
Edit: IT'S A TRAP!

@@cuboembaralhado8294 well I didn't account for it, now I leave it just so your comment keeps it's sense :)
This is amazing! From a technical point of view, this is really cool to see a mangle rack integrated in such a way! I love how you use everyday mechanisms like mangles and ratchets to create something complex. It runs beautifully and smoothly too, which I wouldn't have expected. Great job!
This is truly a masterpiece. It doesn't even look like LEGO. Looks like a piece of art that should be in a museum. Amazing work.
Very ingenious and impressive. Aside from the mechanisms, I'm amazed you even managed to get the dials to 1/60 and 5/60 using Lego spacing. And, as I'm sure you will agree, it is satisfying BECAUSE it has no practical purpose, not despite it. That's a very expensive chain - £300 in the UK, if Lego don't send you stuff for free they are crazy. I wonder how you earn your living - you must be an engineer but I wonder if it involves mechanisms, or if you do this at home for something completely different. Thank you for all your mechanisms over the years, please don't stop.
Lego should hire him as chief engineer.
黒色や金色のレゴをたくさん使っていたり、前の動画を参考に作っていることがすごいと思います。これからもずっと頑張って下さい!!

Absolutely incredible.
Damn, only 40 seconds ahead in a full cycle.
If I'm correct over 4 years it will be about 32 hours ahead, which is close to the right amount to account for a leap year haha :p
@@AvoxionYT wouldnt it only be 12 hours ahead in any case?
I've had Lego Technic for 40 years. You're doing things I could never even imagine. Well done!
This is lego mastery, true perfection. I have never seen a more intricate, more beautiful, and more interesting lego clock ever.
Amazing work!!
Very very impressive. I would recommend not using the brown chain link, and I also recommend turning the chains inside out. The pigment in the brown chain actually makes them more brittle, and the chains stay on for longer when inside out. That might not be too important for this type of build, but it would make the clock more impact resistant if it collided with something.
yes, brown parts are soooo weak, i hate it. i have had a ton of brown parts break.
凄まじい完成度で感動しています! ずっと眺めていたいですね…
What an outstanding community you've built here! This is pure art.
Please put together a parts list I'd love to make this!!!
Amazing. Beautiful, ingenious, and mechanically impressive.
There's a subtle thing I noticed he didn't mention at all. The fork and the second hand are on two separate layer heights to allow the minute hand to function properly without getting bumped. Had they been on the same plane, the minute hand would go possibly 3x as fast around, getting hit twice by the fork and once by the second hand.
Oh good catch!
This is a wonderful little item! Even if, as lego, it has no real practical long-term use due to the constant wear, I think this method of making an analog clock is really nifty! If I were more into metalworking, this would be something I'd love to try to recreate. Also 40 second offset after 12 hours seems to be really minimal, but yeah I can understand it stacking up over time, great build!
Just FYI, a high end mechanical watch usually has a variance of +4/-6 seconds per day. Depending on temperature, amount of wind on the mainspring, position, etc. For a static clock 40 seconds is about 17th century level of accuracy, but it's incredible impressive for an amateur project made of mass-produced lego.
That's simply amazing, man! The design, the colors, the precision of movements... such a pleasure to see it working!!
I totally love how it looks, this is a piece of art!
Amazing! What a nice motion, too. The way the minute hand is turned is so elegant!
As a CTO I must say this is outstanding work. What I particularly liked was you gave credits to the references you used. Keep up the good work.
ロマンの塊
This would be an amazing piece to have on a wall or mantle. The only problems I personally have is the noise and the fact that you'd have to replace several of the moving parts with metal replacements if you wanted this clock to last more than a few weeks at best. Building it would be both a delight and a nightmare as well.
I mean I have seen your Work for manny years now, I am following your Channel since about 8 years now, which is why I am hassitant to say this is your greatest work yet.
But my god what you build is trully magnificent.
To see the combination of asthetics and function, while still showing of the mechanics is beautiful.
Great Piece of work.
Everyone’s talking about how incredible the build is (which it is) but all I can think of is “get stick bugged” looking at the middle of the clock
Wow... absolutely stunning! I love the way you come up with clever mechanisms every time you stumble upon a problem
This is a fantastic work of engineering and art. I especially love that the number of links in the minute-hand chain is a multiple of 60. It didn't have to be, but you found a way.
Actually it had to be, because every 3 links of the chain there is this little notch which allows the minute mechanism to pull the chain by the right amount each time, and so it needs 60 notches, so for everything to be even, the amount of chain links needs to be a multiple of 60
デザインがめちゃくちゃかっこいい
This is by far the most impressive moc I've ever seen
I would wear this every day if someone made a wrist watch miniature version of it. Also, if this was an official Lego set, i would definetly have it on a pedistal somewhere. Incredible design, incredible ingenuity, i Love it!
I would buy it if it it was sold as a set, this is fascinating clock!
Everyone's impressed by this, but it's even more amazing is that at every step he set up a camera and filmed it!
I like the simplicity method at 5:10 😍 if i have this kind of clock.. i will spend my whole time just to watch this clock work😂
Best lego build I have seen so far. Amazing design, implementation as well as filming. So satisfying to watch!!!
12:00 I like how the connectors of the minute moving mechanism move from the vibration of the contraption, only visible in time lapse.
im not witnessing the same "vibration" ...
i see deep and precise moves.
i don't see any heretic rattling nor uncontrolled moves.
@@shinokami007 There is a pin spinning around on its own near the top but its not a big deal
its not because of vibration. those are two grey non friction pins and they rotate because the mechanism there gets triggered every minute and makes them spin around a fraction. in the time laps it happens so fast it looks like they spin on their own.
It is beautiful! You could make it run on command and use a programmable brick to track the hours, using a separate hours drive to catch up when it's turned on.
The time-lapse at the end was sublime to watch!
This is by far the most genius build i've seen. Extremely impressive
Fantastic project, extremely well executed! Would be very easy to keep it time synchronised using an arduino and PWM driver on the motor if you wanted it spot on 👍
Love watching design and development laid out like this. More like this please! :D
I love the minute hand mechanism. Its so simple, yet so clean and ingenious. The only thing that would annoy me about this clock is the absolute volume of the lego motor. Everything else is incredible.
Amazing - the whole mechanism is fascinating. The video detail on each part is fantastic. What a great build!
Incroyable ! c'est hypnotisant à regarder ! super travail !
This is a masterpiece!
Amazing! I look forward to seeing this in person at Japan Brickfest :D
The degree of sophistication in this guy doing these machines is reaching abstract levels.
Beautiful, stunning and mesmerizing as always! So mesmerizing, in fact, that I could have sat and watched a 12-hour non time-lapse time-lapse!

How stylish and functional can LEGO Technic be? I guess, this clock is the answer! Clever construction with awesome design makes this project fantastic. And also there seems no issue with the accuracy either!
I like such videos!
I am so curious about the design process of this. My background is in software engineering, and in that domain pretty much everything there is super easy to modularize and simplify with clean interfaces. And once you make some function, you can reuse immediately in any other program. Engineering seems so much more complex in the physical world, so seeing brilliant designs like this, especially built with such a limited medium like lego, is really mind-blowing.
I apriciate your work and the magnitude of enginuity and amazing engineering and that you may like to keep the idea yours, however me and I believe many other people would appreciate it if you were to work with lego and make this into a set we can buy, because I would definitely want to buy it. Or take orders for people to buy. Everyone who supports this being made into a set please like this comment for Akiyuki to consider the idea.
