Hello, Nick! How it's size better between the Pixel 5A or iPhone 12?
I ordered a Pixel 4 a on 8/16 and freaking Google announces the 5a the next day. Cost me a $35 restock charge to return the other and get the 5a.
Received the 5a in a smushed box and the 5g service doesn't even work. I get 0.6 Mbps. Opened support tickets with T-Mobile and Google - no luck. Phone is nice (heavy) but connectivity is important. Numerous calls to both parties and they couldn't get LTE or 5G working. Maybe I got a lemon. Not happy with the Pixel 5a right now at all. Great on paper, but not in real life.
A budget vs a flagship, makes the pixel look very impressive.

4 years ago the Pixel 2XL was $950 for 128GB model, 4GB of RAM, 1 camera on the back, and about 1000 mah less battery than the 5a. Today we get a chipset that's more powerful and energy efficient along with much improved Pixel software experience. We pay less than half for more. Great value! Google is doing it right!
Because Google is not a phone manufacturer. They are an advertising and marketing company. Their phones are optimized to track your every location, click and data mine. The lower price comes from their ability to sell your data to Third Parties on the backend.

Wrong. Snapdragon 765G chipset is only faster in terms of cpu and efficiency, but the SD835's graphics is still much faster, almost 2x RAM bandwidth.
@@jjflash2611 lol, it's cuz they make most their money from software on iPhones, Samsung's, their own phones, etc. So they don't have to make a ton of money off it like apple and Samsung does
Pixel 5A is very impressive. However I am waiting for the Pixel 6 Pro to see how it compares with the iPhone 13 before I make a decision. I will be upgrading from an iPhone X so either way it should be a pretty big jump for me. I enjoy both operating systems and accept the pros and cons of each. I think it is hard to pick a really bad device these days.

I have the 4a5g, and it's the best bang for buck I've ever gotten from a phone. I love this device.

Nope. It will be slower. Android 12 is customized for the Google chip. Not the Snapdragon chip in the 5a.
@@juniorazeez702 it would be more effective but google chip or not every android with 12 is getting a little performance boost since they reduced the cpu time needed for core system services.

I does not care if my phone launches apps at a delay of milliseconds. I like what the device is capable of at such a competitive price.
This should be relabeled speed in opening apps test. I’d love to see speed comparisons using the camera, using different apps, gaming speed tests.

Yep. Google’s updates and feature drops keep things working well. Never had an issue with any of my pixel phones. I also have the iPhone 12 Pro and if I’m honest I prefer the pixel. Before getting the pixel I was always an iPhone guy.
I used my Pixel for over 4 years and it was fast af till the end when the battery died.

I am currently using a pixel 4 XL since launch and everything is still buttery smooth as the day I bought it.
I prefer the safer and more secure phone since both are awesome. This means no Apple product for me.

The amazing thing is the Pixel is even in the running with a phone that costs twice as much. I'd like to see the pixel compared to its true apple counterpart - the SE.

@@soroxene No, the iPhone SE 2020 uses an A13 Bionic chip, whereas the IP 12 has an A14 SoC. Also the SE has 3 GB of RAM vs the IP 12 's 4 GB.
I think there should be more comparison videos to show you don’t need a flagship anymore to get a great phone. I personally have the iPhone 12 and recently ordered the Pixel 5a because Google has so many great features. And offers so much value for essentially half the price
can you do a productivity test. like zoom call and difference. and phone call quality. thats my main focus. im allways zooming 10+hours days.all over usa.and how long lasts on battery.

For now, i wanna go back to Android phone and what’s on my mind is the next google pixel. I hope it’s not that expensive and it’s performance with camera is going to be great. I’ve been using iOS for 4 years now but I miss Android’s more simplicity to access things especially on my pc.
Just order my pixel 5a to replace my oneplus 7T mclaren edition and also using a iphone 12 I like IOS and Android so I use both hopefully the camera on the pixel 5a will be better then my oneplus

How many times are we going to see iOS vs Android? You can't compare them. Apps are optimized for each operating system. Apps on my wife's Samsung are very different from the same apps on my iPhone. To the point where I sometimes can't figure out how a particular app works on her Android phone. Stop with these comparisons.
5a far better than iphone 12 . 5a midrange phone but photograph is better and easy to use clean ui and budget is deal breaking u know that

What matters most to me is which phone (5a vs 12mini) will likely last at least 3 years? Im still using the OG SE and it's awesome except the battery dies in cold weather and power button is unresponsive. I also had the Nexus 4 for 3 years until the charging port broke.

One second or less difference is nothing, who would notice it. I have both the 5A and iPhone 11 by the way. I'm happy with both as my car infotainment system supports Android Auto and Carplay. I agreed with you on the price difference. :)
If Apple somehow brought all the main android features like always on display, split screen, pop out video, fingerprint scanner, 120 hz, and live wallpapers ect. I would instantly switch to iphone

Sometimes I feel like Android should become more optimized n locked down like iOS. It would definitely make it snappier.

I’m buying pixel 5a or pixel 6, cuz iPhone 12 battery last no more than 5 hours. I have to charge it like 2 times everyday and If out working I can’t literally use this phone for the whole day. Other than that iPhone 12 is great. And also the screen is not as pleasant as Samsung displays or android OLED panels.

The iPhone 12 is not twice the price! In the UK I can buy new off eBay for £150 more than the Pixel 5a as the iPhone is from 2020. The 2021 iPhone 13 will be about 75% more expensive.

The app reload on Android is definitely not because it runs out of ram. It's just how Google decided to make Android needlessly reload apps unlike on Apple. I have 12 GB rom on my Galaxy and apps will still reload even when I have 5GB of rom free.
iOS aggressively kills background apps. This has been a thing for a very long time.
This is why you can have 15 apps open in an iPhone's app deck and not lose any battery life or ever see any lag or slowdown at all.
Android phones do not do this by default unless you turn on a developer option .
@@ZangetsuDDR Flagship Android phones, like the one I have, does the same in terms still remaining battery efficient and no lags with tons of apps running in background all day. The only thing it doesn't do as well is it will refresh an app eventhough there is still plenty of ram available.

What this test doesn’t show is the everyday use performance is. Crashes and freezes and stuff like that. And the iPhone will dominate all day long

my friends and I have old pixels, they're still fast and solid. Mine is 3 years old.
Yeah that's more myth now than anything. Plus worst case you do a factory reset. Android is a much more open platform and as such when more and more apps are installed "stuff" is allowed to happen in the background much more than Apple would ever allow. But it's not nearly as bad as Android used to be.

The Pixel is all fun and games, but watch it slow down after a year. My Samsung did just that. iPhones stay speedy throughout its life.
@Alex From Boston I have a samsung A32 4g and now its over six months since I got it and now everytime i one instagram or facebook there is like this delay up to 4 seconds and im hoping getting a pixel 5a and hoepfully the experience would be so much better
