I think the main conclusions to be drawn here are: 1) Being “faster” is more about UI and optimization than geekbench scores. 2) The *actual* speed differences in real life usage are *way* too small to notice, unless you constantly switch between resource-intensive games all day.
Geekbench scores only show gaming. Real life performance depends on optimization. The Pixel 5 would have been the perfect and best selling phone if they priced it at $599 as the S20 FE 5g with Snapdragon worldwide at $699 was too hard to beat.

Love my Pixel 5. The only difference in performance I see is Radarscope and Marco Polo, both of which I use extensively -- my iPhone 12 handles them so much more smoothly. Overall I just love the Android experience better including the notifications at the top, the always on display, and the Google Home options from the power button. I'm so excited for the upcoming Pixel 6 pro.

I want exactly the same test in 2024 when Pixel is on Android 14 and iPhone on IOS whatever. Will see if the difference in raw power matters in the long run.

liar! its human nature that everyone wants the newest,fastest and best looking device. it also applies to cars,computers,mechanical devices and any other technological devices that we use even at home. theres few reason why u had Xs now. one is you couldnt afford the top iphone model. come back here after 2 decades and reply to me if you still have that Xs. since you really love your XR i would assume that you would just replace the battery and if your xr breaks i would assume you would buy another Xs prove that you dont need faster phone

Tho the 12 pro max is much better than the s21 ultra for better processor cpu gpu and more durable the only advantage s21 ultra has is refreshing rate and portrait modes only…
