I'm a die hard Steelers fan, and I'm upset they lost, but I'm a football fan first and I can't say that I didn't see a loss happening. If they can barely put on points against the Chiefs, then I knew coming into this game they were gonna have a tough time doing anything against the Patriots. Congrats Patriots fans. And hopefully next year will be a better season for Steelers.

ZUZAINFINITY I'm a die hard pats fan but honestly don't you think the steelers should be much better? I don't think Tomlin is a good coach. I think he's ok and he doesn't try to outsmart himself but if the steelers still had a coach of bill cowhers talent they'd have been much better in roethlisbergers career. Tomlin has won two Super Bowls but I don't think they've ever beaten the pats in the playoffs with Tomlin and beat two easy NFC teams for the Super Bowls. Cowherd almost beat aikmans cowboys with Neil O'Donnell.
pat442389 Tomlin does outsmart himself tho, he shouldn't be calling plays because he usually goes with his gut. Steelers should be a lot better now and they can with the players they have, except maybe Big Ben now who isn't as consistent as he use to be.
ZUZAINFINITY i guess he does... ill admit being a pats fan i dont watch as many Steeler games as you. But when i say outsmart i mean say team X has the best RB in the league and a bad QB. On 3rd and 1 (and say the run game has worked all game long) the coach will decide to throw the ball to trick the other team (and to make himself look like a great coach). When in reality all you need to do is get the one yard and keep the drive alive. In my opinion the steelers probably have 3 super bowls and many more final four appearances if big ben threw like 20-30 times a game max. And someone also needs to tell tomlin when you run a RB 25-30 times a game and throw the ball to him another 5-10 times a game, dont be surprised if he's hurt or exhausted by the playoffs. Roethlisberger is a good QB but he's not Brady or Manning. He makes too many huge game breaking mistakes to be trusted to throw 40+ times a game. Its too bad we probably have seen the best from roethlisberger and he's only 32-34ish.

He’s still in the league, playing for Saints…this season is his 10th or 11th season in the league, a super long career for anyone especially an undrafted undersized WR from Monmouth who used to be a lacrosse player. Been in the league since 2011 or 2012 depending on how you count practice squad years.

I'm a Steelers fan, but it just seems like it's going to be the same exact narrative every season, and it's getting old. Tired of hearing how the Steelers are supposed to be this Super Bowl contending team every year and have the best odds but either end up as 5th/6th seed or just barely clinching their division, but just happen to get the 3rd seed because the afc south is absolute garbage. The trolls can say what they want, but Ben is right for making the retirement comments. I seriously envy Patriots fans for being able to head into a week where the team is playing a bad team but not have to worry about them losing. The losses against Philly, Miami, and even the Cowboys were just downright uncalled for. I feel bad for any Packers fans here, because you guys are going through the same thing.

Pats fan here: Thanks for the kind words about the Pats. There were 2 calls against the Steelers I didn't get. One was why they didn't get the ball after Brady fumbled. And the other was the call for hitting Edelman. I wouldn't expect you to root for the Pats. It will be tough to beat the Falcons. I am hoping the Pats can slow down their offense. Hopefully Belichick has a good defensive game plan to do just that and the team can execute it. Also, the Pats' offense needs to score a lot and wear down the Falcons' defense.
Hey as a Steelers fan I am not ashamed of the loss we took today. I tip my hat off to Belichick, arguably the greatest to ever coach and also to Brady who is on his way to be the best to ever play his position. Steelers did not show up today and that is the result you will get facing a Hall of fame QB & coach. Steelers have plenty of work to do on both sides of the ball and changed need to be made in my opinion, Specifically staff. That being said I have no favorites for SB 51 because it would also be nice to see Matt Ryan & Julio get their first ring but I kind of want to see Roger Goodell hand the trophy to Brady and Belichick for deflate gate. So who knows good luck to both teams !
I feel the same way. I'm a steelers fan that lives in Mass. I was surrounded by pats fans during the game and it was annoying but it would be great to see the falcons get a ring or to see goodell hand brady the trophy.
