- as with any video on the internet this is all my opinion and take that with a grain of salt lol for me and my needs .. and my levels of insanity .. the smaller 1275, as you will see in this video, annoyed me less and will deliver what I personally need from a steam cleaner .. these are both very much budget units so they should BOTH be treated as such .. maybe one day soon I'll snag a high end unit and revisit this topic but for now, I'm sticking with my 1275 lol
McColluch's website claims the 1275 produces more steam per minute than the 1385 (33-37 gpm vs 31 gpm).
Is there even a way to check that? I'm not sure how you can measure the volume of steam - is it just a theoretical measurement based on heat and rate of water usage?
Just bought the 1275. What setting is good for cleaning walls in the house.. water-based painted walls at that?
I scored a good deal on my Ivasteamr20. She squirts and queefs for the first 10 seconds but has a clean, smooth stream of steam for the remainder. It seems like the 1385 attachments are better built though.
Thank you for the helpful video, and good laughs 🤙
I just bought mine a few weeks ago, and I love it. I've detailed a few cars with the 1385, and mine doesn't dribble any water. Maybe you have a faulty machine. I would contact the place you got it from and see if you can get a replacement. If mine did that, I would be a little upset. But mine runs great!
The 1385 without the extra bit generates more steam then the 1275, its just not visible. The plastic TIP creates condensation and makes more of the steam visible along with the drips. Really high pressure steam isn't visible at all. I have the burn scar to prove it.
I don't think that attachment is a squeegee. It is either a scrapper, or, it's a shield to keep the stream off of a surface immediately adjacent to what you are cleaning.
Thanks for the video!! I got the cheapie too, and was looking to upgrade to the 1275 but now......nahhhhh I'll save my money for a vx5000 or chief steamer. That's way too much dribble, I can only imagine spitting all the crap in the dash buttons lol. I know the 1275 usually spots out water on the first pull after sitting for a minute or two, but aim it out the door and your good to go. I can live with that for now but the dribble no no no
I wouldn’t be able to do it either. That’s way too much water dripping out, and it never stops. Would drive me crazy!
don't blame you one bit haha
Isn't it funny how the more expensive appliances always have faults. I just got my Wagner 905!! Love it!!
Thanks for the video I was actually considering buying the newest one, but with all that water dripping I'm sure it wouldn't work for me, I'll save some money and go with the 1275
I have both. I just bought the 1385, and mine doesn't dribble at all. I'm a Mobile Detailer, and I've used it on a few vehicles, and it's awesome! Best investment I've made so far. Maybe he has a faulty machine. I would ask for a replacement
Great vid. Loved the funny commentary.
I have the 1375 and it’s fantastic on grout. Also use it to clean alcantara on my steering wheel. If I do carpet then I’m just gonna use my Bissell lift off to extract water.
Does yours leak water like that?
@@chellmcwags6229 not even close to that bad
@@GreggCesaroni ok awesome!! Thanks so much! I’m looking to purchase to deep the house and van! Hoping this one works good! Thanks for your reply! I appreciate it!
@@chellmcwags6229 I tried my friend's 1375 and his does things a little different than mine. His has a bit more water but not like what you see in the video. The pressure in his is a bit more than mine as well. I guess they all are hit or miss. But either way, they are very useful!
I got the 1275 and it squirts a little when you first get going but does not squirt after the initial operation. I use Clorox Gel toilet bowl cleaner on my grout. I let it sit for 5 minutes and then hit it with the steamer. Looks like new grout afterwards. MY primary use though is on the vehicles.
Thanks for video ! I need to get a steamer too. Wait for your next video
Does it still spit water out like that or did you find out what causes it?
Overfilling the tank causes that. This guy is just an idiot.
So…. Did you clean your whole damn rug? Also that dripping would piss me off.
yeah I had to lol I tried to walk away but that corner is right in the most visible spot with the best lighting HAHA
Shit it should of come with a sponge and towel lol buzz kill
Yeah that 1385's a big ol' splooger. I should of returned it but for what I use it for I can tolerate it.
splooger LOL
I heard the aqua pro is a good unit for about 349.00
Thx for sharing.
I have ‘after spooge’ after watching this video.
I’m thinking with a longer hose you’re going have a lot more psi
I heard that the longer hose affects the heat that is lower
