Doing the spl arms on the front of my e82 today. This video helped out a ton! As for measuring the threads, based on what you said I looked at this area specifically. I think what they meant to say was use the threads as a reference point and measure the length of your arm. Then you can duplicate the measurement from the thread. This would make sense as you can duplicate the measurement. Thank you again and subscribed!
Man that is crazy that the crankhub spun again, especially when you're only on stage 1. I've seen a poll on the forum from user response, and it seems like even those on OEM tune can spin it too, but just that the probability is slightly higher for those tuned on Stage 2+. I guess it's really down to your luck and having a tune might just push it over the edge. Looking forward to the crankhub video!
First thing I did when I bought my F80 was the crank hub. So many people want to act like it's a non issue, but they're wrong. Even bone stock cars have spun them. Glad to see it didn't damage your engine. That would have been expensive.
Had f80 for 3 years fbo stage 2+ drive it pretty hard, got my crankhub done last week and they said my stock one was in perfect condition still. I think it’s just all about how the car is driven
@@enntlopossibly. But why would you risk having to replace the engine instead of just doing the crank hub? Some people are just cheap and don't want to spend the money.
I’d definitely throw a crank bolt capture on the car after this next crankhub fix … at least it’s some insurance that the bolt can’t back out at all once torqued to yield
I heard the bolt capture is useless, it seems like most oem hubs that spin don’t have the bolt back out, they kickback force overcomes the friction disks to slip the timing

I miss the f82 content. Sorry to hear about the crank hub. Makes me think I need to take care of mine before it slips.
More coming soon.
How'd the drive with this suspension upgrade?
Are those 18;s or 19 rims( whats the tyer size set up) Nice bru

@@BlakesGarage best shot is doggo peeking under car wondering what this hooman is doing!
@@MrSneakA haha yeah Ganders awesome
Blake do the s58 motors in the g80 m3s have this crankhub problem?
Fuck that g80
I think on the b58/s58 it is a part of the crankshaft, so no way you will slip timing like on the s55
@@noobslayer815 thanks bro
Yep, no issues on the S58 they didn’t do the stupid crank hub thing on those engines.
@@BlakesGarage what a dumb design! Wtf where they thinkin. You gona finally do it on yours?
