crap I just put a precut wrap around my radio trim and it took me 20 mins, he does a bumper in 30 mins, amazing
dont look at how long it took you to do it. look at it in a way that you are practicing the craft and perfecting it. over time you will get faster at doing it

People complaining about the price 😂😂 you have to know that yes $6000 sounds a lot but prices vary dramatically by the Location, Vinyl, design, how much you're getting wrapped, quality of the job and also the vehicle itself. I can get a car wrapped in the UK to the same standard as he does for around £1400 but up in London the same wrap, design, car, parts and labour would cost me around £4200. Same with a paint job, you can go for a cheap £2000 paint job and have a terrible outcome or pay £4000 and get a professional job done, again depends mainly on location and living expenses.
So basically its 150 $ an hour. I should learn how to wrap cars lol

Material is expenive and as an installer alone you rarely see more than 20 an hour on the odd end though i have seen big companies offering for 45-50 an hour while you get that 50 an hour but you are also being put on higher duties pretty much like being a manager/installer of your own shop with employees under you so really the bigger money isnt from installing at all its more from the buisness side of things
All this wrap cost him about $500 ish. And he made a huge profit. You make more wrapping yourself. If you work for someone you give them 80% profit
The wrap material in end coast about 1g a vehical. And 35% of total coast for installer. If the wrap coast 4 grand. Installer would get 1200$ so 1200 plus another 1k equalling $2200 we haven't talked about shop coast tools. Mistakes made..shop itself will only make a $1800 if that per wrap. The owner sacrafices alot. Proper quote is super important.
Also the cost of overheads, unit per day cost, electricity cost, water cost. Cost of people working on the car removing parts etc. Also its cost for quality and skill level compared to someone starting out and does not have all these costs to think of

I am starting a wrap shop with help from small business investors. It all started when my bank account got hacked and I couldn't order online and I realized noone but Walmart sells it, and they only sell rolls larg enough to checkerboard a vehicle. Digged for 20-30 minutes and found out the wholesale distributor is right down the road and with my new LLC I get an additional 30-50% off larger to bulk orders. After wrapping several Civics and my VW and Integra, it seemed fairly straightforward. But your videos are eye opening to the thousands of angles and holes in newer cars. This one I will review several times. I have also been collecting estimates from the many Graphics shops around my town. If you read this tell me what you think about a person such as me opening an eventual retail wraps and films to the public shop? From what I have read, which isn't in full all encompassing detail. 3M and several other of the top selling companies hold their own guarantees and warrantys. So as an installer, if it isn't obvious that your mistake caused the failure of product then you get paid again by 3M to replace it. Is this true or was I reading a website run by Fox News?

Mustang was 4000, custom design, entire care wrap. Pricing varies. Basic color wrap, around 2500 and then it just goes up from there depending on design.

Can you please explain how the color of the wrap affects the difficulty of the job?
*It's probably more to do with the type of wrap, like chrome vs regular... in my experience chrome wraps are a bit thicker and harder to work with. They also scratch easier since they have a glossy surface so more care is required when handling and squeegeeing the air bubbles out.*

Got a good paint job for about $4500 total.
Sure that's probably good enough for the average person. But a showroom paint job will go upwards of $10-20k
The most expensive part on a vehicle is the paint don't believe me go to paint and body shops they all will tell you the paint is the most expensive part
Vinyl is MUCH more forgiving than painting to do.
Yeah I was qouted 3500 for pearl white when my car is currently white with a black roof plasti dip would be only 300$ for a full wrap lol.

People complaining about the price. The material is very expensive. I wanted to wrap certain parts of my car, the hood, spoiler, front pumper and mirrors. A 50 foot by 1' sheet of wrap was almost a grand. Think about how much you need to go across an ENTIRE vehicle with plenty of lines and bodywork.

What about material cost?
The other thing christian lightly touched on was the actual wrap itself. Chrome is going to be much more expensive than say glossy black. Material cost and square footage of the vehicle give you a baseline of where to start. Generally most vehicles require about an entire roll.

Yo CK great vid man, I've been into the business about 3-4 months now & put I've put out some really good work, I've gotten a lot of good feed back, great reviews, but it just seems like most people's mind set about having their car wrapped is suppose to be cheap I guess. I charge a fraction of cost compared to local shops (Tampa area) & seems like as soon as I quote them the job that's it. I just think people don't realize what it takes to do a full wrap or even a partial. Can you throw me some wisdom from when you started in the business to help get your company off the ground? I love your videos Christian, but I wonder, why spend 6k to wrap when the owner could simply have the whole car repainted for that amount? Give it or take another grand or two.
I love wraps, but when you get in that range wouldn’t it be better to be repainted to whatever the color they want and maybe clear bra on top?
Because repainting a car causes it to lose immense value. Cars that have been repainted are automatically assumed to have been in an accident. Paint will also add an additional 100-300 pounds of weight to the vehicle. Aftermarket paint jobs are usually also never as good as the original factory paint job

You can get a cheap paint job just like you can get a cheap wrap job. But a top of the line wrap job VS a top of the line paint job, the wrap job will cost a fraction of the price of paint
But paint job will last looonger.
