I wrapped my 350z my first wrap... watched your videos for months it took me 3 weeks in my spare time.. It came out fantastic with the tips and tricks learned from your channel... It appears I used the most difficult wrap out there... I used HEXIS and it came out great... Thanks CK for all you do because I have a beautiful vehicle Im proud of.

@@LurkMoar101 Yes, it took Christian a year to wrap my car because he was so busy. It was done in red chrome and, yes, it was so amazing. I could see people taking photos of MY Accent from their cars....Christian's grandmother and I met so many people because of the wrap on my car. Unfortunately, 5 weeks later I was rear-ended and my car was written off. Talk about bad luck...I was so upset. @ckwraps got me in the industry. I started watching his videos and was inspired and used Vivids Matte Metallic Orange to wrap my M5 and it turned out great. Got my first job at a commerical wrap/sign shop and since then I started my own business bought a printer & laminator and still learning from his channel. Ty Ck wraps for everything you teach on your channel. I hope to meet you someday if your ever in Central FL. Because of you and your Channel you change everything for me!

It's been filled with ALOT of mistakes in seeing how the vinyl works in different situations. It been difficult but I'm determined! Thanks again for the videos and amazing content!
You are educating a lot more customers than competitors. We, as subscribers to your channel, learn more and more about the differences between a quality wrap and a crappy wrap so that when we go to have our car wrapped (assuming we can't bring it to you) then we know what to ask, what to expect and what to look out for. The only wrappers that should be upset about your channel are the ones doing questionable work that are afraid of knowledgeable customers. If they are a solid wrapper, then they should appreciate having customers that understand what all goes into wrapping a car and so are more realistic about what can be done and what they should expect to see and to pay. Love your videos - don't stop!

Your origin story is kinda like mine. Only it was my wife's car, it was vvivid satin rose gold metallic (directional wrap, learned that the yard way). It was on for 3 years. It's now rewrapped it in candy pink... But I am not starting a business

You hit the nail on the head. I started the same way with tinting. Then started PPF and got hired as the installation manager for Xpel Austin. Now I have my own tint/PPF shop. I’ve wrapped a few cars too.

Great video Christian, I'm starting out the same way you did to on my drive and sometimes a friend unit.
It's hard to get going especially here in the UK because insurance companies class it as a modification and hike the cost of up ridiculously.
That puts quite a few people off having anything wrapped.
I've even beee refused insurance unless I take the wrap off which I told them where to go lol.
But I refuse to give up and wrap whatever I can.
Your vids inspire alot of people mate so keep it up 👍

That is a very interesting rule from insurance. The wrap is actually a form of paint protection. Do they refuse insurance with paint protection as well?
@@CKWraps not sure about ppf but they guy I spoke to on the phone told me they won't insure it with the wrap on they also wouldn't give insurance out to customers if they put any kind of sticker on there vehicle, perfect I know.
Not all insurance companies are like this but alot are.
I got insured with another company no problem and it only went up by £30.
But it does put afew people off having wraps done because of the hassle of getting insurance. Insurance companies having a power trip I think.
You've also got to notify the dvla and change the log book of the vehicle about the temporary colour change
@@garrybailey8318 that's unfortunate. But yea you should change the vehicles color with the ministry so that it matches its current color in order to avoid hassle from police

Great video Chris. I think I have asked before, but I don't understand why you don't put your logo/name somewhere on the clients car. Some clients will not want it, but I am sure most will, and it gets you name out there even more. Keep up that great work.

man pretty much watch your videos daily lately. Trying wrap my Subie myself learning from your videos hopefully one day take your classs. Know I'm making mistakes but its a learning process. Using cheap ebay blue carbon vinyl something called 7D Autogoody wrap?! What would you consider the best brands for a novice and easiest colors. And how do you know how much wrap you need?

Does anyone know if he has any motorcycle videos? I just did a front fender on my harley dyna and turned out pretty good for my first time (3m 2080 satin black) but it also made me burn through about 30 bucks of wrap because it took me three times to get it right. It's about 95 percent perfect. But heard the back fender is very difficult. I need more knowledge on bike wrap with all the curves that's on them
