any tips you learned while wrapping the car? just ordered wrap for my car and I've never wrapped anything in my life lol. been watching these videos for days now.
I like your films because you show even those bad moments when there is glue or other errors under the foil, you show how to fix them and that sometimes you just need to wrap the element from scratch. Good job! Greetings from Poland!
I hope people understand how helpful these videos are. Showing someone how to do something like this and uploading it up youtube is absolutely unreal. As someone that's been doing PPF for two years (not long) I understand how important a video like this is. You go into detail and explain the importance of everything you're doing. I wanna buy some cheap film and practice wrapping small parts of my mazda3 for shits and giggles and these videos are super helpful. Keep it up dude 👍🏽
Wow, if vinyl wrapping ever goes out of style, you should become a brain surgeon! Your steady hands and quality technique never ceases to amaze! Thanks for a great video!
Your tutorial was a breath of fresh air compared to the one I watched previous. You're a natural teacher. You made the 22 minutes easy to follow and watch.
You, sir, are a magician. Watching you work is amazing! I am not going to wrap my car, nor actually even interested in wrap; but I have viewed so many of your videos just because you are so good. I also truly appreciate your unpretentious manner, and your honesty when you make a mistake. Thanks so much for sharing your work.
That color combination of black and rose gold is my favorite color combo. Very rich looking. Excellent wrap, Christian. What an incredible job on the mirrors. It looks killer.
I have been doing some wrapping now for a while on my Silverado and getting good at it, alot of trial and error and mainly working with 3D Carbon Fiber Black. I find it hard to work with when you a one person diy guy but learning alot and enjoying it. And after watching some of your vids I'm game to follow 💯 alot of knowledge and love what your doing and a BIG THANKS for it all. Would love to see some carbon fiber wraps as I work with and learn some tips and tricks. Hopefully you will. Thanks again appreciate the know how and skill set you possess. Great stuff.
You are one of the only few that have 100% likes and no dislikes. I have been watching a lot of your videos this afternoon. all have been awesome. I've been learning a lot. So for that, I am thankful. Keep up the great informational video's Chris!
yeah I also have to say I've been rapping bikes and I started watching your channel to get some tips and info and kind of insider you know just watch and see how it's laid and now that I'm doing it by hand and basically working on my own bikes it has been invaluable it has saved me a ton of time I'm using all the ancillary tools knifeless tape all the specialty tools etc and good God it's really really helped you've been a boon to the community thank you
I had no idea that you can do so much with this. Thanks man. Great video, very good instruction. Well done. You ARE A PROFESSIONAL FOR SURE. I would let you wrap my car anytime.
I appreciate your work, couple of things to add, glue specks happen as you slide around on mirror before you apply 1st time, this is usual with avery, glue "rolling" itself especially if you pull over any ridges leaving small dots like, "making a bed" technique (on time smooth hit basicly) is recommended with avery to avoid it. Also, before you cut, let glue sit for 15min, do other mirror in mean time, don't cut right away, same with post heat, do it 30min after apply. Avery is generally great as you know, but need some adjustments due to softness, thickness and easy apply glue. All best!
I've applied decals before on vans but never wraps. I've a mini cooper and I don't like the plastic chrome. Wrapping seems to be the easiest option. Your videos are easy to watch and I'm sure I'll be able to do mine following your instructions. Thanks for the video 👍🏻. I'm sure I'll be watching a few more that you've done.
I appreciate u, I definitely tried wrapping the mirror in one piece. I thought it came out ok but it got heated too much. But now I know to look for the seam.
Great tips... Everything your saying is going to be helpful when I try to wrap my car. Not sure I can achieve them all, like you can. But, I'm going to try now. Thanks.
100% Professional.I built nitro model aircraft and covered them for years. It takes a special knack to do it right. So on the initial start,no heat on your vinyl.Slight heat after to activate the adhesive then stretch to the edges. Then a final shot of heat after you smooth everything to seal the edges.I have a Toyota truck that is about to get a restore and can't wait to try this on the interior and exterior. Do I use the same vinyl for both inside and out?
I’m going to go through your library to see if you covered it already. If not, can you cover wrapping a difficult mirror base? I’m looking at wanting to wrap the base on 2004-2006 Scion xB only
Man...Chris is so good at his craft, I'll even let him wrap my girlfriend up. A holla to CK wraps, from down under!! Keeps it's up my man. It seems u can't put a foot wrong.
Excellent video. I’m curious. How do you deal with single part mirrors without the caps. I’m scratching my head trying to figure out how to termanite the vinyl across an edge. Look at a stock RSX mirror if you get what I’m saying.
Thanks for sharing. I learned something new today. Do you mind share which brand and which material is good for exterior wrap? I am looking for a candy red color for my mirror, door handles.
Hi there , I want to thank you for your videos they all great . I have a bmw x1 2023 and Id like to wrap the side mirrors with glossy black but keep the silver cap how would I do this as the fold automatically do you have a video that shows this as I not sure how to do this and perhaps you can recommend a good quality company and a local company that may do vinyl wrapping in Los Angeles? Thank you
Great work! Had my mirrors done at a tint shop....took it off after 2 days due to the edges curling and some other defects....got them and the roof painted later. Guess I'll go to an actual vinyl shop from now on
Perfect video for what I was looking for. Thanks for the clear instructions! Just: if i was the owner of the car, i would be nervous about that watch moving that close to my wrapped car
Men i really appreciate your explanations and stuff here I wrap my car cammo and it was a pain make the cammo fits with the pattern but I made it by myself practicing on my interior but came out really good 🖤 thanks bro
What is the tool you used to tuck in the tight seams in called ?? It was teal and a golf club shape. I've used all the other tools you used except that one. Great vid as usual always helpful and informative
I just purchased a pair of outer mirror shells which are ready for painting. Can I wrap them as they are or will the vinyl only stick to a painted surface? Also, would wrapping them off the car be a better solution than doing it only after they have been fitted?
That edge can be from the tooling that consist of two halves. Where that seem is are decided by the designer and you normally want it where it won't be noticed. Sometimes this is not doable due to draft angles and the shape of the part.
Hi CK, great video. I keep getting fingers at the edges and I see the colour of my car when I cut off the vinyl at the top part of the mirror. Any advise? Am I suppose to tuck it in before cutting the excess?
Any chance you've done a video on mirrors that are more 'rounded' or 'bubbled'? I want to do the mirror caps on my 2009 Mini Cooper Clubman in carbon fiber. I have done quite a few trim items on the car in carbon fiber already by myself, mostly flat stuff. But I really want to do the mirrors and I like the carbon fiber look since the entire car is black metallic. I also would love to learn how to do this. I'm sure I could pick it up quick, I've been a collision tech for 42 years so I've seen my share of wraps done just never done any myself, until I bought this Mini. This looks like a much more 'laid back' career than what I'm doing now! ;) Any help?
i have a headlight that is similar but i suspect if i did this method there would be a line across the headlight because of the clear tint getting doubled up. i tried finding a video on wrapping my light and i can't seem to find one. it's a 2011 highlander. the headlights would need some series stretching and i am not sure i am up for the challenge. but i guess i could buy pre-smoked after market headlights off of ebay for 126 bucks since the main reason i wanted tinted headlights in the first place was because the headlights are starting to fog and i don't want to refinish them yearly, getting them tinted means i resurface them and they will stay good for a few years before i need to do something... but.. i could just replace them i guess. i really just wanted to get one of those cheap chinese vinyls and wrap them but it's obvious my headlights are too boxy to do that.
I bought a reflective carbon fiber wrap so I could wrap my mirrors and it does not flex and stretch this easily as the one you show does any suggestions on how to not make that happen
I have a question pls. I wrapped my roof in 3M satin blk. I want to do my hood but also got enough to do a sunstrip. I did it once but there was a tear and when I pulled it all peeled off easy. Is paint work vinyl wrap different from glass sunstrip vinyl?
i know this is an old video but why not just pop the cap off wrap that and the do the other part after. Unless that cap doesn't come off. Just asking cause i am going to wrap my 2015 bmw 535i xdrive and i know mine comes off.
Sometimes the "trim edge, or molding" is so tight to what wrapping can't tuck, or it eventually starts to peel up or shrinking back after a while. Would it be best to remove pieces like this to wrap instead, or any other tricks that you know of that I don't? Thanks for vids, as its nice to see what other ppl do, & what tricks & tips they know that can be passed on... Cheers, A👍🏻👍🏻
So if there wasn't a seam/gap in the mirror, you still wouldn't use one piece to wrap it due to the angle???? Can you please show us example wise why this would fail? Vinyl is stretchy and designed to contour to any shape...
The mirrors on my F-150 have textured surfaces. Would you recommend having them sanded and prepped as if they were getting painted before wrapping them?
What I especially like about this is it’s recorded in one take - no editing. Great skill and confidence.
I’m wrapping my first car now, and your videos are saving my life!
any tips you learned while wrapping the car? just ordered wrap for my car and I've never wrapped anything in my life lol. been watching these videos for days now.
Are you recording the process?
I’ll be doing mine in the spring and recording it
Same man. Feels like i could do it know. After watching his vids.
I like your films because you show even those bad moments when there is glue or other errors under the foil, you show how to fix them and that sometimes you just need to wrap the element from scratch. Good job! Greetings from Poland!

That knifeless tape is brilliant I never knew it existed til 30 min's ago
I thought the same thing until my dad showed me as a kid. I was like what will you ever use that for?
Now I know. Lol
Helping my son wrap his Miata MX5 and your videos are excellent! Thank you thank you thank you!
Your tutorial was a breath of fresh air compared to the one I watched previous. You're a natural teacher. You made the 22 minutes easy to follow and watch.

Now I understand where the cost comes from. Outstanding work, great video.
I don’t plan on wrapping anything but I love watching videos like this that make so much sense.
I have been doing some wrapping now for a while on my Silverado and getting good at it, alot of trial and error and mainly working with 3D Carbon Fiber Black. Ck wraps is the only guy that actually helps me with my first experience wrapping thanks bro!
Great instructions. I’m a 56 year old grandmother who has just wrapped her wing mirrors on my smart car.

I love your channel. I did my trim on my SUV after watching your video with a really dope looking Chameleon vinyl. Thanks now it feels more like me.
I had no idea that you can do so much with this. Thanks man. Great video, very good instruction. Well done. You ARE A PROFESSIONAL FOR SURE. I would let you wrap my car anytime.
what a master at work looks like
Christian, you are amazing, attention to detail is spot on. I would never attempt to wrap something myself, I can't even get tape to stick properly..
It’s so therapeutic watching you work. I suck at it. But it’s nice to see it work perfectly here. 😂
I like how he is talking like I'm standing right there, it's comforting some how

You are an awesome teacher...I am laying glass in my dreams
wow that requires a lot of patience. Amazing craft.
I appreciate u, I definitely tried wrapping the mirror in one piece. I thought it came out ok but it got heated too much. But now I know to look for the seam.

Great video man. Appreciate people like you. Sharing tips an how to’s

Can you do one on cutting tape. Is it the wire you pull at start . Do you have to cut tape open to access wire
Great job Christian! I’m looking forward to seeing the roof wrap. I got a Lexus so I’m really tryna figure out how to work around the moon Roof
do you have a video on how to wrap the bottom "stem" part of the mirror?

I’m looking to wrap the side mirrors on my 2013 Buick Encore. Any tips?
Is there color match vinyl to match a factory color? Nice Movado, I have that exact same watch.
Thank you from all the way up from Morocco

Necro Kittie boxy is easier
Might be a silly question, but why don’t you use the knife less tape on the edges of the mirror?
Any video on how to wrap the post for this mirror? I have a GS F that almost (maybe) has the same mirror.
Hey man, can you post a video on wrapping the base of the mirror?
How do vinyl acts in the winter ❄️ time?
Looks really good. How long do you think this will last.
Can you please ad the link of the bleu/green tool to put the vinyl in the small gaps. Thnx.

Very Informative video! Stretching vinyl has always freaked me out; as you demonstrate, it's best to just take your time. Well done
Freaking awesome. Going to try this soon. Thanks for the knowledge and expertise..patience is a virtue..
Ok so that knife less tape is really cool.
Using a razor or any type of knife always made me a little nervous because of the paint.
Where do I buy the hat your wearing? Want want WANT IT! love your video and wrapping my hood in CF after watching your glassing effect and tips
The car's color is really nice. What color is it?
could you show how you did the rose gold and black custom camaro wrap?
The mirrors on my F-150 have textured surfaces. Would you recommend having them sanded and prepped as if they were getting painted before wrapping them?
Yup it will show
What vinyl did you use for the mirror there so many on Amazon but i want to get the right one for my mirrors
He said Avery, Gloss black.
how does the vinyl hold up if you have the car krown rust control, yes I am in Canada down the road from you!
I've wrapped many cars with undercoating and they do well. Just have to clean very thoroughly, it's actually very tedious
What do you think of the knifeless tape the add looks great but does it work. Spoke to soon before watching this video as you are using it sorry
