Being from Louisville, my friends and I would stand at the top of these stairs and joke about trying this saying its impossible. I used to think there's no way in hell.. then there was jaws. I couldn't believe it.. until you stand at these stairs and realize just how difficult the run is.. you would think he's superhuman. All he had to do was lose his balance on that ledge and drop 30 feet into the river. Only locals know man..

I grew up near this stair set and have seen it a million times in person. This is in my opinion a more difficult one than that Lyon 25 in France, but unless you live around where this 20 is you’re not aware that the run up is very limited for how big it is, compared to Lyon where the run up is forever, WITH a huge bank to drop in on. I will echo other people and say as a kid I use to look down this thing and think there was absolutely no way someone could clear it. This shit is superhuman.

It's not. The stairs in Lyons is way gnarlier and it's 25. I was literally at this spot earlier today. I'm not saying it's not huge...but it's smaller than the 25 set in Lyons. Plus he started it from that wall too so the drop is huge but the actual Gap is much smaller especially if you're starting from 3 feet above it.

This is in my home town of Louisville, KY at Waterfront Park. I remember talking to my wife about how awesome it would be to see someone go down this stairset. I can't believe it actually happened!

That run up is insane, just google mapped it and the ledge is even smaller due to the rail on top. To get that distance with such a difficult runup is just insane!

If you notice, they measured the distance of the blocks, but if you see, he ollies off the side and he actually lands before the last block ends

yes, and free runners/traceurs would also displace the downward momentum laterally by rolling on the landing. I was explaining why it doesn't snap his ankles. Also, not many taceurs would be brave enough to jump that height (just like not many skateboarders would).
