- We're gluttons for punishment and at it again! The future for this old Bay City shovel seemed bleak, but we're going to team up see if we can turn that around.
Part 2: • Bay City Part 2 - Tire...
Part 3: • Bay City Rescue Part 3...
That Ford is just a great looking truck! Perfect for this job too!
Love seeing the old machines restored if possible
You guys are awesome. Everyone loves a good revival, but these old machines are just something different. Keep up the work
Excellent work you're doing in saving this piece of engineering heritage for present and future generations to see and appreciate.
nice looking forward to the rest of it. Its fun rescuing this stuff but so much work
Oh, Fck yeah... That 46 Ford really stands out wow! Plus I can't imagine getting tires for it being *Split rim* heh. A lot of people think it's just an old piece of junk, but really it's not, Especially to us guys it's a Real jem, Plus the ones We can save the machines I do believe appreciate looking forward to a renewed life.
I love the rescue videos i would like to see more.
nice 49 Nick had a buddy with a 50 in highschool days...Want to see this unit running!!!
That’s a nice 46 Ford you got there. I have a 46 flatbed too. It’s a one ton, special order with a unique model number.
You guys sure know how to have a good time, liked
Great adventure! Looking forward to more. What is this great guitar music?
Thank you! The music is by Doctor Turtle
Way to much fun! Good luck
Love it! The Truck too!
Really enjoy the rescue videos. Thanks for taking us along! I am guessing you guys are an old engine club?
Nope, we are just friends and enthusiasts helping each other out on our own respective ventures! lol. We are all members of some groups, but that's unrelated to these ventures.
Who does the music in this video? Great job rescuing another one guys.
The factory site in Bay City, Michigan where that shovel was made is now a five star subdivision...
a "Bay city Roller!"
Missed opportunity for making the footage of the old truck hauling off the boom seem like it's 50 years old!
Copperheads? Rattlesnakes? Yow!
I just subscribed to your channel. And hello from New Hampshire.
Thanks Paul, and hello from NY!
What paint? the paint on the little excavator?
Humans, why have you disturbed my ancient slumber?!
nice truck. I have a 45 cmp ( canadian military pattern army truck) with a flathead v8 in it. runs real sweet. Is this one of yours a v8? Best regards from New Zealand.
Andy Green does it look like a civilian truck, or a quad? Seen the quads used as wreckers and the Ford flatbeds with searchlights on the back
V8 - 239 cubic inch 59A. Four speed sliding gear transmission with 2 speed vacuum shift rear axle.
@@baycitynick697 It would be nice if mine had the two speed.
I bet that one guys white T shirt said Pageant of Steam on it.
Is that the same 'Bay City' that makes the gear reducers?
What paint?
Is the boom shown being lifted for a pull shovel? I see the shovel boom and dipper was already loaded
Yessir, the unit came with both fronts.
When’s part 2? Cmon man I’m waitin!
Haha I'm sorry I have been so insanely busy, I have it like half done.
No one noticed the antique fire truck turning the house?
That's a F550. Service truck. Same truck lifting the booms in other parts of the video
@@kipside8954 sorry i have a girl friend 😳😬
No need for the music
Music ??? A little dialogue might be better ??
It's hard to do a lot of narration when you're one of the ones doing the work, ya' know jump out and grab some video wherever you can, and then get back to work. There's more dialogue in part 2, which I'm still editing.
@Bill Williams Thank you!
where's the rest of it?
I'm not sure what you're asking, but if you clarify I'd be glad to answer any questions you have.
@@RustyRescues was there a boom and bucket with it
@@maryellis3661 Yes, that's what we were loading and hauling on the '46 Ford.
@@RustyRescues cool would be nice to see it all working again
@@maryellis3661 it will be, and I'll do my best to document it / provide updates.
