When I started coming up with concepts to do my senior film, No gag would stick with me,
and nothing that was short and flashy would stick with me either.
I knew I'd be working on this film for almost a year, so I wanted it to be something I could put my heart into. So I chose this.
Through this experience I learned many things, and tried my hand at a lot I've been wanting to work on. This film probably won't be in full color unless I'm able to find a group of people willing to work on it with me. But I'm fine with that. I was able to go through the process of developing ideas, scripting, draft, concept art, storyboards, animatics, laying out scenes, dealing with backgrounds, and directing music/scenes with other people. Plus I got to work at telling a story with no words.
I knew this was an ambitious project when I took it on, but I couldn't tell any other story except this one. I hope that you're able to connect with it in some way, because I know everyone has their own stories. For now I'm moving on, but I would like to revisit this in the future.

anime hardly ever makes me cry WHY AM I CRYING NOW????
Held back my tears (just barely), when the first boy fell, started weeping when the other boy did, and started outright crying when the thing happened. Congratulations on making a truly heart wrenching and beautiful film, well done.

No this was too good omg. I literally have tears rolling down my face and the screen is all blurry. You did an EXCELLENT job with the story. To have the ability to make someone cry like this is a talent. And the animation was very well down. Great job!!

Oh my god your animation is so natural and fluid but hot damn that was horrifically sad. I can't describe the shock I felt when the second boy tumbled over the dock.

When he fell I stuck my bottom lip out, cuz I thought it was sad.
Then when his friend touched his face I started tearing up.
When he disappeared I realized I was crying with my bottom lip still sticking out.
Talk about feeling like a re-re. xD
You did an amazing job. The way you portrayed the emotions through the facial expressions was beautiful. I shed some tears while watching this. Good luck on your current and future projects! Really hope you come back and finish this one!

That was beautiful, both visually and emotionally.
Wow, this affected me si much. When the friend died, I was shocked and saddened. And when the boy fell in too, I was like O.O "Oh my God!" The timing and beautiful animation accompanied by the music contributed to the emotional nuance. The eyes and body language were also really effective for communicating the emotions of the characters. Great work here. You're awesome! XD
