Going to try this soon. Full tire replacement price is ridiculous, and good luck finding the tire you need on a 10 year old blower. Great video man. Thanks
Thank you Eric for the information, if I may suggest that one return's the re-assembled rim & tire onto the snow blower's drive shaft to act as a base for which to re-set the tires bead back inside the rim. I tried it after more than a few futile attempts's ( between my knee's, standing on it), then the light came on, and using the snow blower drive shaft was an instant success!
Most all times there is a rim leak, a rim leak sealer is quicker and cheaper. Just de-bead the tire, scrape any rust, then brush on the black sealer and re-inflate.
Yes I took my tubeless tire which I'm pretty sure was tubeless and they added the tube supposedly, they didn't ask questions and the tube I have them they didn't return so I assume they put the tube in or replaced the stem. Either way it's fixed and I didn't get the new tube back
I have been experimenting I used a can of slime tire sealant filled the tire with about 1 cup of slime per tire, and use a can of aerosol can of glue saturate the tires and let cure. It is best to remove the tire of the driveshaft and put inside the house for proper curing it is winter time but I spayed mine in the fall before the snow started, I have used the tire and it is holding no more leak, try it I will have also done this with my lawn tractor tires and it is holding, I will use a can of aerosol to spray the tractor tire this spring. For snow, blower tire do max the tire use less air for better grip.👨🏾🔧🇯🇲🇨🇦🥶❄️☃️🌬
Good video. I just did the same repair and had the same problem with the short stem. I put a washer between the rim and the valve stem cap. If the tire goes flat, you won't lose the stem inside the tire.
Never use a screwdriver to put your tire back on you can puncture the inter tube always use something smooth and fat as the valve stem you have to pull it all the way through so that it will fit in the notch that was made for it.

P.S.
Eric, the (appropriate sized)washer & cap, was very help full, Thank again!
A good tip is to get a tube with a bent valve

You could have just put the cap back on to keep it from going back into the wheel.
Exactly.. Am thinking the same thing.
I was thinking just screw a tire valve tool onto the valve stem.
can you repair the inner tube like a bike inner tube (patch and glue)?
Nice banjo. Is that you playing? What's the tune?
Thank you for the video. For the stem just use a small needle nose vice grip. Place it at the base. Works great.
Don’t forget your ,”ANTI SEIZE” lube on that rusty axle !
can I use fixaflat on this?
Put some liquid soap on rim when reassembling and it will slide on easier.
Where did you get the replacement valve stem
Came on the tube
Good idea!
can a tire shop fix this?

"I have a great idea. I'll make a helpful video extra helpful by putting some banjo music in the background!"
Get rid of the banjo....It doesn't help matters at all.
Would’ve been great advice 8 years ago. 🤣
if your blower did not come with inner tubes and were tùbeless how do you find the sizè of the tùbe
He just put in the reading on the side of the tire.

Yeah my dad told me about that after I did the video. I'm sure that works like a charm. Good tip.

This might be my only route if the green slime doesn’t work
Put the cap back on would be easier
Harbor freight sells cheap tire spoons instead of using screw drivers
Using screwdrivers can dent the rim and affect the seating of the bead/rim, agreed with above poster on nylon tire levers as a better option.

I would wish you would be using the bicycle tire changing tool instead of this screwdriver. #cringe
