Great videos as usual. Once retired & we have the money (soon) there’ll be another 8kw pumping into the system. Thankyou 👍

Hi - Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on this video. Thank you for the kind words.
That sounds great, bit more time to spend watch the app and digest the numbers 😉

In case you don't know, you can force export the Givenergy battery automatically by programming it on the website.

Hi - Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on this video.
That's really useful to know. I'll definitely check that out. At the moment, I've paused force discharging, especially given July's poor solar generation 😬

What are the better well priced companies?

My system is similar to yours. I have a 5.8kwh array, 10kw battery, a full EV and an ASHP.
I switched to flux around end May and find it works well for me. I can't force discharge with my foxess system but my calcs suggest the same as you - about £1/ day. So is it really worth it. Especially as I don't want to be tied to having to do it manually when I have a life to lead. I intend to switch to Cosy in sept/Oct when the heating goes on. That's because we won't be exporting anything to the grid then (at 15p/kwh) and self consuming all solar production. [Side point, we almost had the heating on over the weekend because July has been so cold😮)

Hi - Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on this video.
That sounds like a great system set up. Flux is working really well at the moment and likewise July has been a bit of a different story so far 😞 We will also be switching come September likely to octopus Go for charging our car.

Did you consider a heat pump hot water cylinder using night rate electricity ?

H Peter i - Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on this video.
I'd looked at a heat pump previously for us but it's a bit more complicated as we have microbore radiator pipes but not impossible. The unvented HW cylinder can be heat pump ready should we change in the future. It has x2 immersions which we can use overnight with cheap rate electric if needed. However, gas on tracker seems to low enough to continue with this at the moment.

@@everythinghome Actually I was referring to the stand alone heat pump hot water tanks not a heating system heat pump.

I see, like the sunamp heat pump battery? Yes we looked at that but the quotes were significantly higher

How is it going now? It seems the agile export rate has collapsed this year, surely this is very problematic for your ROI?

Congratulations on your new child. You got a bargain with your system for just £10.5k. Mine cost £10k for a 5.8kw array and just a 5kw battery. However I could not fit a large array on my roof. My April, May & June generated numbers are 643kwh, 672kwh and 720kwh. So in proportion about the same as yours. Applied for Flux 7 weeks ago, still waiting. Why did they promise to back date your Export claim? Thanks

Hi - Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on this video.
Those are some great generation figures. We moved over from FIT deemed export payments and before switching to Flux if been emailing them so we had a proposed switch date and everything was in place so we weren't waiting for anything to come in. Are you waiting for your MPAN or something to come through?

Hi, It took Octopus nine weeks to transfer me to Flux. Everything including MPAN was in place 9 weeks ago. Octopus apologised their error. Their gave me my deemed export for July as a credit tomy account. @@everythinghome
