I have a 2013 Durango, and it does NOT have this option under the center console :-(

My durango 14 rotatory shifter is locked in parking as i shutdown the engine in reverse gear, usually it automatically comes to park and not locked. But it is locked i remove the terminal but it is still stuck. Can I do this same to restore?

Whats the reasone that make shift lock in P?

Multiple reasons that can cause it
1) Bad brake pedal position switch
2) Gear position sensor
3) Shifter interlock switch
Best to get it checked out by a mechanic!
