I just started plenity today, and the first thing I noticed is that I couldn't eat as much. I love that they give you 2 metal containers in your kit, one for home and one for when you are away home. I also went to the bathroom in between meals which is great for me, because I suffer from constipation. I never tried glucomannan, but I have tried chia seeds and psyllium husk with no luck with feeling fuller. I felt pain in my intestines when I used chia seeds daily, I think they were getting stuck and clumping together. The psyllium husk stopped helping with keeping me regular after a while. I will update a month from now. Please let me know if glucomannan works for you guys. Good luck everyone!
@@FA_2_Pilot To be honest it made the top of my belly stick out after I ate, that alone made me self conscious and I would skip it in certain situations because of that. I still used it consistently for about 3 weeks, and I noticed I lost about 3 lbs during that time. I felt full with less food, and it taught me to think about what I was going to eat in a half hour to an hour, instead of just stuffing myself with anything in sight lol. I didn't like the bloating though and for that reason I stopped.
I've tried Glucommanon in protein shakes and it doesn't fill me up. I've been on Plenity for 3 days and I'm not nearly as hungry as before. I was very skeptical but decided to try it and I'm glad.
@@Mulatica89 Unfortunately, I lost about 3 lbs, but after the first week, I didn't feel the hunger abatement that I had before. Also I already have IBS-C and it didn't help with that. I might try again since I just started this week on Weight Watchers. I find the point system helpful. I was on Noom and despite keeping my calories below 1500, I didn't lose any more weight.
I suffer from IBS-C I can’t tolerate psyllium and never tried glucomanan but heard can cause intestinal blockage but not sure if with plenity will be the case. I stopped exercising and increased caloric intake during pandemic. Tired and bored of eating my food and take out more.. surprisingly my IBS symptoms and constipation improved after eating more carbs… I ate less fruits too but I gained total 30 pounds. I take collagen and helps me feeling full but everything can cause me pain and discomfort if do it too much. I need that filling full effect to get less anxious and calmly prepare my food
*in my personal experience with both phentermine and glucomannan, phen wins out. you literally have to plan meals on this stuff. the only side effect i had a problem with is it can give a **_FALSE POSITIVE_** urine result as speed. but take it early enough in the day and the sleep issues are minimal. where as glucomannan does very little for suppression as in appetite. it just **_FILLS YOU UP_** to the point eating becomes an impossibility on the stuff. both can cause constipation, but unlike phen, glucomannan's is **_BLOCKAGE BASED_** in activity. so you can stop taking phen to return to normal **_BM's_** if needed, where as with glucomannan the body has to process it. too much could lead to a **_"POOP SWEATS"_** situation. and **_NOBODY_** wants that.*
You are right about phentermine. I took it many years ago I use to have to make myself eat. However, it gave me so much energy and taking it earlier in the morning does help out so you can go to sleep at night if you don't you will be up a night.
I think Plenity is a rip off personally. I found the less than $10 Glucomannan supplements to be equally effective. I don't personally see the benefit of using Plenity over Glucomannan or justification to pay nearly $100 per month for it.
I've been taking Plenity for about 2 weeks and I have yet to experience the fullness. I drink it with a 16.9 0z bottle of room temp water. I don't feel like it's doing anything but giving me gas and bloating.
This might be the clearest explanation I've ever seen from a physician online. Much appreciated sir! 🙏🏼

Thank you for this. I have considered Plenity but already have glucomannan on hand.
2-3 glasses of water prior to meals- would help anyone lose weight!
For me no

Hey, were you able to lose weight on plenity ? Any updates?

Glucommanon is supposed to be taken before meals not with meals. Could be why it didn’t help?
I’m waiting for order ❤thank you Dr for explanation
Much appreciated Dr., thank you! Very much appreciate the information and alternatives; you've gained a subscriber!

I been using it and is working for me.
How’s it going? Any weight loss?

What are your thoughts on combining Plenity and Orlistat?
Orlistat reacts to high fat foods …plenity keeps you full …they wont interact with each other at all
I use both
thanks for sharing this breakdown on these! I just made a video about the Plenity Glow study and how it works on my channel
maybe one day it will be over the counter like alli is
If you end up with alot of gas can you take activated charcoal to help with the gas? I've heard lots of people end up with excessive gas?!
I have IBS and haven't had any gas yet after 3 days
I've been on it for a week and a half and have awful gas.
